Some of bar staff both downstairs and upstairs were not very friendly and service was sometimes very slow

The view was incredible!! The breakfast was great, competent front desk staff.

We were on the floor below the lobby and bar. There was a conference and we could hear movement above us until 1am. Front desk offered to switch rooms but the view wouldn't be as good so we stayed. Also, both the outdoor and indoor pools were very cold. The ocean was warmer!

Clearing of tables at the breakfast area could be improved. It felt rushed when we were still eating but the staff started collecting plates.

Location, the view and the facilities were all stunning. The breakfast was also very good. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Could possibly have a bit more greenery around the pool and some more variation in the breakfast offering day to day. Some cushions on the sunbed also.

Hotel is in a great location with easy access to the old city. The room was very comfortable and well presented with a great view of the bay. Breakfast was excellent with a fantastic choice.

Hotel more suitable for the business sector than for elderly couples

The location, view and direct access to the walkway along the sea with bars and restaurants was ideal. My room was modern and minimalist, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was needed in August (and it was delightful), balcony overlooking the pool and the bay was relaxing.

I enjoyed everything

The Kompas exceeded my expectations. The view from our room was incredible, and the whole place felt much more like a five star hotel. The pool area is amazing, and despite the 'private beach' being a short walk, we really enjoyed it as well.

Honestly, the only thing we would say that was annoying was the music selections in the bar and pool areas. Odd covers of popular music on repeat - it would be great if it could be mixed up a bit. Such a minor point though overall!

Location was superb

Modern and amazing views comfortable accommodation

Staff were all professional and helpful. We had a well located room on 8th floor but could not use balcony. Good walk in shower. Towels changed daily. Breakfast had a great food selection daily with attentive staff. Hotel is on the water's edge with a promenade to walk to either beach or swimming areas. Bar on top floor has great views over bay.

We had 2 balconies but could not use either because the metal furniture was uncomfortable and the chair pads too thin to be of use. The duvet on the bed was too small and I had to ask daily for a top sheet to be provided.

A lovely hotel with wonderful helpful staff and a great breakfast.

Everything inside the hotel was great and the beach beautiful. The restaurants nearby are geared towards tourists and a little underwhelming. We found a lovely seafood restaurant off the main tourist thoroughfare. I would recommend seeking out recommended restaurants.

Very modern , breakfast very good

The music every night was a little boring and in the room , second floor , the air conditioner was very loud , I could not sleep well and we were under the gym , the people running in the morning was very uncomfortable. So if you book a room make sure you are above 4 floor

Great facilities and conveniently situated close enough but far enough from Old Town. Good restaurants surrounding the hotel and beach for swimming aside from the lovely hotel pool. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very clean and comfortable room (a little on the small size). The buffet breakfast had a wonderful selection.

Not being able to sit outside for breakfast until 7.00am. Most mornings we arrived at 6.30am, it would have been pleasant to sit outside at that time of the morning.

We have stayed at this property in the past and again it lived up to what we expected.

A couple of the breakfast staff were rude, they need to understand without customers they don’t have a job. Being courteous is easy, being rude comes down to attitude.

Beautiful hotel right by the beach. Amazing view of the bay, a lot of restaurants and snacks around. There is a bus stop just 5 mins walk to the old city (around 15 mins drive). The staff is very nice! We asked for a very early check in and they made it happen. It eas our honeymoon so they gave us a bottle of sparkling wine too.

The prices are very high. This is a great hotel but maybe too pricey. No bottles of water in the rooms.
