Location

Marriott website reflected $30 per hour for parking, yet no over night rates. I called (twice, and waited both times) as parking in city hotels is often challenging and expensive. Front desk advised it was $25. I called on way to hotel (after 8-9 hr drive as there are multiple garages and Marriotts). The info I was given was WRONG again re BOTH hotel parking garage address and the rate, again!!! And this was from the front desk! All Marriott needs to do is include CORRECT parking rate and garage address on their website. not rocket science, yet they failed multiple times and made for a very, very frustrating set of experiences. Dad, that Marriott can’t get basics right and they don’t care.

The location for this hotel was perfect for the Jazz Festival! Just a short walk to the event. There is a tram station at the hotel which is helpful if taking the city loop tram. The amnities at the hotel are great and the large bar and restaurant in the lobby had good food and was fun after our days out.

The bathroom was dated and pretty dirty including lots of long black curly hairs everywhere (I'm blonde and my boyfriend is bald!). Could also use a microwave in rooms.

Every staff member we interact with was helpful and friendly. The staff at the Reel Bar was amazing. Shout out to Frankie at the bar. It was a busy weekend, but she handled it with class and professionalism. Front desk was great despite the crowds and busy weekend.

Bed was too soft and sank in the middle.

Was very nice I loved the view of canada.

I did'nt have soap and extra blanket. And had to have brought up to me. Should always have in a hotel room.

After using booking.com to book rooms, when we had to cancel a room-- we are still waiting to hear whether the property would waive the cancellation fee. Also we were not aware that when you book through booking.com that the actual property cannot confirm details of room type and guest names assigned. For this reason, we will not use booking.com in the future. Trying to get in touch with a live agent at booking.com is nearly impossible.

Came in after checkin time and they did not have a room available for us to check into. We had to wait 45 minutes to get a room. If they are not going to have rooms available by 3 pm then don’t make check in time at 3pm. Also all the food places closed early. We came back from and event and the cafe was completely closed and we could only get food from the little store in the hotel lobby.

Staff was awesome. Got an upgraded room with a view that we loved!

We got dropped off from our Uber at the backside of the property and it was a maze to get back and it didn’t feel secure. There were homeless in the bathrooms

The view was amazing and the breakfast was delicious also. The manager was helpful as well.

Couldn’t check in until 4, didn’t even want to check and see if our room has been cleaned at that time. The shower wasn’t all that clean, for the price of $300/night I would have expected spotless, towels that had a weird bad scent. The a/c really wasn’t that strong

Perfect location for Detroit river view walk and marina. Canada bridge is close, view form the room is amazing. Everything is close and people mover in the hotel

Arrived at 230pm and was able to check-in. Very courteous at the front desk and super quick. Less than 5 minutes and I had my room keys in my hand!

Unfortunately, we had no shampoo in the room. The dispenser was empty.

Staff were very friendly and offered us a $40 off breakfast coupon for their restaurant, along with waters while we waited for check-in. Hotel is very sleek, comfortable, and central to everything downtown. Also had a wonderful view!

Navigating the property was fairly confusing- from parking, to actually locating the check in area. Also, at night most doors are closed- which was sort of a pain if we just needed to run outside to pick up food, or go to the car. Also, there is no vending machines on site, so make sure you bring drinks or buy some to store in your room ahead of time. Overall, I would stay here again!

The location and cleanliness of the property are unmatched!

The restaurants and bars on-site did not stay open long enough for all the patrons coming back from their events downtown looking for a bite to eat before bed. Everything closed at midnight, even though on the website it says they keep the kitchens open until 1am on the weekends.

Close to the venue we were attending a concert at.

I reserved a room with two queen beds and it said check in was at 3 we got to the hotel I was told check in was at 4 and they had no double rooms only rooms with king beds. Their were 3 of us I was told a comped rollaway bed would be in the room , I had to call to request the bed be brought up. The person who slept on the rollaway bed said it was very uncomfortable and I’m pretty sure my original room was more then the king bed room to which their was no price adjustment so technically the rollaway was not comped. The hallways were EXTREMELY HOT Very frustrating!

The room seemed very outdated and dingy. For the price, was definitely expecting a bit more of a wow factor. Instead, we walked in to see your average room... something we could have gotten for much less somewhere else.

Staff was nice and courteous they took care of us after the conflict with the wait staff at the restaurant accommodated us for the meal and Compass breakfast for the inconvenience of the room being cold

The room was small and the bed was uncomfortable. For that price, I would expect better blankets or extra blankets. Coffee was also stingy. Nothing was open in the property on the weekend which was strange to us. I just expected better for the money spent. It could be so much better.

Well, we booked about 6 rooms and 4 out of those 6 rooms that were originally assigned to us were very dirty (Beds were unmade, trash was everywhere, etc.) when we got into them.. They did however accommodate to the rooms that were dirty and give some money off and gave some money for them to go receive breakfast, along with getting upgraded rooms.
