The noise! You can hear everything that is happening on the floor and in the next room, my bed was literally moving when people in the other room were moving on their bed!!! So crazy, the view was also disturbingly terrible. Definitely not the 5 star experience, far from that. Also someone randomly called me at 2:30 am on a hotel's phone number, how wild is that

Comfortable room and modern bathroom.

Cleanliness was quite poor and room very dusty. Amenities provided did not meet regular 5 star criteria. Felt more like a 4 star hotel. Some staff were friendly but some quite abrasive.

Hallways were too dark. I felt like they were hiding something in the darkness. The lobby was very underwhelming

Properly not kept well. Paint chipping off , hair on the table , mirrors wasn’t as clean, and plastic cups in the bathroom ?! Wow

The location

The rooms are by far overpriced and not worth the money. Also breakfast area and general set up is not really appealing. The photos and the pictures are better than the hotel. Windows are not able to be opened at all. Feels like prison.

Location in Soho is our chosen location. Beds are extremely comfortable. Bathroom excellent.

On two nights the bar was being used for private functions. The safe battery needed replacing on arrival and the tablet had no connection to charge. Both remedied quickly The price of a night is starting to get expensive

We stayed at 11 Howard for 7 nights. The price point is excessive for the standard and size of the rooms. We were on our honeymoon , and requested an upgrade, which they rejected. Beware of booking the queen room which is 18 square metres - it is tiny , we could barely move with our suitcases open (we had 3 suitcases which we opened in dead spaces like the desk and under the window). The staff are friendly enough, with the exception of a few who were unfriendly at times. For example, we asked if we could “take an umbrella” because it was raining outside, the guy at the front desk responded rudely - “ah you can’t take it, you can borrow it.” I found this to be unnecessarily rude and lacking hospitality. The unwelcoming attitude (at times) together with the size of the rooms - I would reconsider staying here and research other hotels with larger rooms for the same price point in soho. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel accommodations and location were excellent. The staff was very professional and courteous. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Loved the robe and slippers. Shower was fantastic.

In both rooms the alarm (wake up alarm) went off in the middle of the night. We will have to check for that in future hotel rooms but couldn't have been predicted.

The bed was comfortable.

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, in NY. The 'lobby' was pitiful and unwelcoming, with 1 or 2 employees at a table. The elevator and hallways were dangerously dimly lit. It was difficult to even see the right button for the floor we wanted to go to. The carpet in the hallway was dirty. The room was VERY small. There wasn't enough room on the block of 'night table', to hold my book, water, phone and glasses. The sink in the bathroom didn't drain well. The water in the shower was not reliably hot. Breakfast in the 'library' had only 1 person to take orders and serve. She didn't seem to have a tray to carry water for 6 people. It took 3 x asking for O. J. for one of us who needed to take medicine. I left a review on Trip Advisor, and plan on seeking reimbursement from Marriott. By comparison, my son stayed at the New York Marriott Downtown, which was everything that you would expect from the Marriott Brand.

Staff was responsive and pleasant. The bed was comfortable. Good shower. Seating in the room was good and electrical outlets were accessible.

The HVAC (heat) would cycle loudly every 15 minutes or so. Neighbors (children) in next room or above us were noisy in the am.

Awesome location, beautiful sectioned rooms make it feel like home at an apartment. They even upgraded my suite, complementary.

Easy convenient clean

Great location. Comfortable bed and very soft sheets. Nice shower. 2nd floor lounge was convenient to gather. Nice welcome staff.

Main lobby wasnt very large. Wanted coffee maker in the room - no decaf available. Our kids were in a double bedroom and it was very small.

Staff didn’t help with luggage when we checked in and checked out. Cleaning staff keeps knocking on the door at 8-9Am everyday for clean up while we are getting ready to go out. Room is very small and we keep tripping on the angle edge of the bed with our legs.

there is no way to open the window, at all. so, even if the weather is fine outside, air conditioning is all you have. sadly, at night sometimes there was not enough fresh air, because the room is super compact. and this also means that you will return to the room only to take a shower and go to bed.

It was a nice building, interior was very modern and clean. Location is great if you want a lot of shopping and eating out in nearby neighborhoods.

I had to wait more than 30 minutes for breakfast and decided to go to a cafe outside. Need to improve breakfast in hotel - seemed to lack staff.

Was a party in a room next door to us on one night which was really loud and kept us awake. We should have called reception and I’m sure they would have sorted it. Need to sort the pillows out - they’re not good - flat as pancakes.

The location is good and the staff was nice and welcoming. However, when it comes to five stars hotels, expectations are obviously high (and so it should be).

Unfortunately our experience was not that perfect. We had to wait approximately 1 hour to get our room, even though we arrived in the afternoon: not the best welcome, especially after a long journey. The room was quite tiny for three guests, one window (with few drafts covered by black tape) and we also had to ask twice to get enough towels for all of us. In conclusion, our stay at 11 Howard was generally ok but “The Devil is in the details” and they do make the difference.

People who worked at the front desk were jerks, very rude, unhelpful, and unfriendly. The parking sucked, garage recommended to us gave us no discount with validating, $100 bucks to park overnight.

The bed is a small king and VERY uncomfortable. Housekeeping didn’t do a great job at cleaning the room.

Std is extremely unorganized. Double charged me. Had my family extremely confused and to top it off extremely rude. The only thing the hotel has going for itself is the location, you guys should be embarrassed. Really dismissive staff

Bathrooms were nice and modern, as were the rooms. IPad in each room which could be used to order room service and other services/information could also be found on there too. Bed was a good size and it was comfortable. Great mini bar with a large selection of refreshments and also items such as power adapter and portable charger. We had a nice view of Canal street, although a bit noisy with police sirens/horns but that is to be expected in NYC!

No breakfast option at the hotel, only tea and coffee. Corridors were very dark, so Lucy so that it was actually difficult to see. Air conditioning is quite loud and when it turns on/off automatically to maintain a constant temperature, it makes a clicking sound which actually sounds like someone is using a key card on the door so it made us jump a few times thinking someone would walk in to the room. Lots of dust built up behind the bedside tables so when you plugged chargers in, there was dust everywhere. Only 6 hangers in the wardrobe and no drawers in the room to store clothes etc, there is one shelf at the top of the wardrobe but it is very high and not very practical.

coffee bar in morning did not offer non dairy milk but could provide for $5.00!! Need to rethink this. All places I have stayed have had at least one alternative and without the hearty cost.

Staff could have been more helpful. We left our phone charger in the room and we insisted that it was there. Eventually after a few phone calls, they finally found it.
