The room in dinning service. Not much variety and what we ordered was not good at all for the price we paid (vegetable and shrimp fried rice without pork)

Just WOW! I have never experienced a first impression of walking into a hotel room like this - we arrived at night and the view was just amazing! The room was magnificent, the space, the small touches but most importantly the bath with the amazing river view!

Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Shanghai Pudong was simply perfect in every way. The hotel represents absolute excellence in terms of comfort, elegance, and service. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine kindness and warmth that made us feel immediately at home. I would like to give special thanks to Mr. Luigi, who truly stood out for his professionalism and kindness. He was always available, attentive to every detail, and treated us with exceptional care. His thoughtful and friendly attitude made our experience even more memorable. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, with a stunning view over the Huangpu River. Breakfast was outstanding—rich, varied, and of the highest quality—with impeccable service from the always-smiling staff. I would not hesitate to recommend the Mandarin Oriental Shanghai Pudong to anyone seeking a truly luxurious experience, complemented by sincere, professional, and attentive service. A heartfelt thank-you once again to Mr. Luigi and the entire team for making our stay unforgettable.

Excellent location, great rooms , great restaurants, we tested all of them. Very very good service. I did not know where to buy baby dippers in Shanghai, and the concierge organise the delivery in 30 minutes. Thank you very much

I recently stayed at the Mandarin Oriental, Pudong, Shanghai, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Luigi and the front desk team, along with the concierge, provided a warm and professional welcome that immediately set the tone for the stay. My room was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and offered an impressive view over the Huangpu River that made the setting feel both calm and memorable. Dinner at Yong Yi Ting was another standout. Katherine, together with the hosts and servers, delivered attentive and gracious service throughout. The food was refined, elegantly presented, and a fitting way to bring the trip to a close.

Smell in the restaurant wasn’t good. Restaurant ventilation Is not sufficient. Ventilation doesn’t suck the smoke and the smell. They need to improve the system.

I would like to share my experience at the hotel with you. The accommodations were quite lovely, and the room was always clean and comfortable. Furthermore, the dining experience was exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious meals to choose from. Also, the staff was exceptionally helpful and always available to assist with any requests. Overall, I had a wonderful time at the hotel and would highly recommend it.

I had a wonderful experience at Mandarin Oriental. Luigi was incredibly helpful and made getting around so much easier for me. The entire staff was warm, welcoming, and very friendly, which made me feel comfortable right away. Everything was spotless — super clean, neat, and well-kept. I truly appreciated the attention to detail and the great service. Highly recommended! 🌟

Had a wonderful stay at Mandarin Oriental Pudong Shanghai. The staff were exceptionally attentive and went above and beyond to help us settle in—from assisting with Meituan orders to keeping our room spotless multiple times a day. Service is truly top-notch. The location is fantastic as well, right by the Oriental Pearl Tower. Highly recommend!

The hotel, the facilities, the comfort

15-min drive to centre with.bustling streets. Not so much an issue, but you cannot just get out of the hotel and walk around. You need to take a taxi to the other side of the river. However, if this is not an issue, it is well within reach of everything

Great stay! The staff were great! Java, the guy from Uzbekistan, thanks for the upgrade and make our stay unforgettable. The location is great, next to the canal, the malls are in walking distance. Will be back.

This is by far the nicest hotel we have stayed at. It is elegant without being in your face and rude. The staff was friendly without being pushy. We had every comfort necessary and loved the wide selection from room service. The breakfast downstairs in the hotel was busy but organized and offered the widest variety we have seen at any fine dining buffet we've been to. The tea service in the first floor lounge was very good. We would absolutely recommend this hotel for families.

Exceptional hotel. Wonderful large+clean room, which was in perfect condition, and the most meticulous turn down service I have ever experienced (my charging cables were carefully bound with a Mandarin Oriental branded cable tie, my suitcase was lovingly placed upon a soft mat). Also exceptionally great service at front desk by Luigi, who made sure our stay was perfect.

He was professional in his dealings, followed up on my reservation, and selected a wonderful room for me. He is also a wonderful and helpful person. I will be returning to Shanghai soon, and this hotel will be my first stop.
