Expert reviews
“Opened this year after a nearly decade-long renovation, Palazzo dei Mori occupies a discreet 1400s mansion in a quiet passage. The salon and six rooms are decorated in old-world Venetian style, with gilded wood, Murano-glass chandeliers and long drapes.”

All you need to know
Palazzo dei Mori is this totally charming boutique hotel tucked in the heart of Venice, at Calle Muazzo, just near the church of San Giovanni e Paolo.
The building dates back to the late 1400s and used to be the home of the noble Muazzo merchant family. When you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm, intimate courtyard (with a genuine 16th-century well!), and a central salon that’s adorned with little frescoes and a trifora window—basically, you feel like you’re stepping into a slice of Venetian history.
The rooms are equally dreamy: they’re styled in classic Venetian fashion, with damask walls, Murano glass chandeliers, and high ceilings, but everything’s equipped with modern comforts—free Wi-Fi, USB sockets, minibar, you name it.
Palazzo Dei Mori
It’s cozy, elegant, and feels more like staying in a historic Venetian home than a hotel.
