Hotel Hilton Molino Stucky, Venice

- Clean, and feeling new. - Good breakfast selection. - Nice views from rooftop. But you need to book it all in advance as few bar tables.

- We were not given any free water because we had booked on Booking.com - as explained by Reception staff! For the price we paid for the room (nearly €380 per night) that is unacceptable. - We were charged for using what we thought was the free hotel shuttle to San Marco. Why would anyone stay here - it is on an island after all- if not for a free shuttle? - It feels like a factory, which is what the building originally was.

Lovely hotel and the hotel boat to st marks square every 20 mins or so was great.

I booked the hotel for our wedding anniversary and one of the main reasons for doing this was the roof top pool. When we went up we were informed it was closed for maintenance and had been all week. We weren’t told in advance of arrival and wasn’t told when we checked in - it was only when we went up.

the location is amazing, and they have a great shuttleservice that drives you right to the old centre.

the breakfast place doesn't have an outside sitting area, which is a shame for this kind of a place. we stayed at the smallest room, which is still nice but needs a bit of amenties to make it really feel like a 5star: for example, a bottle of water free of charge would be expected, and a coffee maker would be nice.

Great location away from the busy tourist area. Has a shuttle boat that charges 15 euros per stay. Great roof top swimming pool and skyline cocktail bar.

Rooms were superb, breakfast was also excellent. Frequency of water taxi service onto Venice island was really good.

Disappointed with a lack of attentiveness from waitering staff at the outdoor restaurant on our first night. Staff seemed disinterested. Lack of free WiFi was also pretty poor form at circa £500/night to not have free guest WiFi was disappointing.

The lobby and reception area is very creatively and tastefully done up , gives high level of comfort and privacy . breakfast spread is good Staff was very helpful , polite and well behaved . would like to mention particularly Alessandra and a male colkeague if hers at the reception were very helpful . The premium king room was a bit too small but the junior suite where we stayed last two nights was very good.

Mattresses a bit worn out, with a sagging middle part. Fan not working in the bathroom and a faulty hair drier.

Stunning one off location, private vaparetto was excellent. Rooms were great, very clean and comfortable beds. Fab breakfast with a massive choice.

The staff at check in didn't give us any general info on the facilities etc or explain where breakfast was etc despite there being no queue. In the sky bar they didn't open both sides for good views despite a lot of staff being on. For price a coffee machine in the room would be fairly standard but not available. Main bar were very unhappy with ordering a drink when you return from last vaparetto at circa 11.45pm which i feel is unreasonable for a hotel bar, particularly with the cost of rooms etc

We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay, thanks to the always friendly staff and the spacious room. The surprise waiting for us in the room on my husband’s birthday was a lovely touch and made us very happy.

Beautiful room exactly as described and smartly presented public areas. The staff were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble, including the addition of complimentary surprises to mark our special occasion.

The shuttle boat landing stage was directly below our room which made it very noisy when (particularly the hybrid) boat was docking.

Everything. It’s a bit pricey for one night. But we enjoyed our stay so much, and will be back again for sure. Everything was AMAZING.

The hotel is very impressive, an old flour mill, it has been renovated to a high standard. The room and décor of the hotel were classically modern and very clean, we felt very comfortable there. On 2 occasions we had room service, the quality of the food was excellent and good value for money. The breakfast was also well executed. This hotel is on an Island just across from the main island of Venice, it's perfect for those that want to get away from the crowds. I would certainly go back for this reason. There are also regular water busses to get you to and from the hotel at a hotel stay, of €15 per person. This is much cheaper than the city water bus. The Island does have other restaurants that are relatively inexpensive.

The staff were a little disjointed. Information was different depending on who you spoke to, and on occasion we found them rude. At breakfast the staff were chaotic and on one occasion when i received my poached eggs and complained they weren't cooked - the manager insisted they were. Unfortunately when the manager intervened my eggs had been returned to the kitchen so i didn't have them at hand to show. When i explained that they were too runny I was told that that was the way they were supposed to be. I insisted on this occasion they were not cooked, runny yolk yes, extremely runny white - no! The manager was not impressed and whilst I was offered a replacement their body language was dismissive and rude, The gym needed more equipment, and we were unable to access the roof top bar due to private functions.

Restaurant… expensive and small portions

The look of the historic old property with a modern twist that comes together well. In an amazing location, you can see the city and are far enough away from the busy town. They have a large select for breakfast in the buffet that taste fresh well-made We got married the day before, and they brought a complimentary prosecco and card that was such a nice surprise. The staff friendly and happy to help you.

Something to keep in mind is that the hotel can help. We had a room at the front of the property with the river view that can be noisy at times with the boat bus/taxi. They do stop between 12 and 3, but they sometimes wait out in front of the hotel just after 3, I guess when they arrive early and need to wait to leave.

The staff were amazing here, every single person was so extremely friendly & helpful. The breakfast buffet was incredible. The only small issue was the AC in the room was not great and we found it hot during the night so not sure what it would be like during the peak season.

New rooms are nice and modern. Overall the property has good views and a nice luxury feeling. The cleaning staff were also excellent and did a great job.

They only offer free water on arrival and there are very limited amenities in the room which is not befitting of a 5 star Hilton hotel.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever been

The noise in the rooms is horrible! You hear every move of your neighbors, that’s crazy, absolutely no privacy! The reason I wouldn’t come again to this hotel

It was our first time and it was amazing an stay. Rooms were clean, staff was helpful and the bar is a MUST to visit. Breakfast was exceptional as well. Would come again.

Location was good and Guidicca was very interesting with some good restaurants within easy walking distance fr9m the hotel

Reception staff not always appearing friendly

This was my second visit to the Hilton Molino, and it didn’t disappoint. The decor is beautiful and the staff are fantastic! Great breakfast lots of choice. Very convenient boat goes from hotel to st marks square all day and is a much cheaper option than paying for the boat buses. Just a note to say thank you for the upgrade, it was very kind and a lovely touch to our daughter’s birthday trip. Can’t wait to return!

A very minor thing is the not being able to use pool in the winter, of course it is not really a possibility due to the cold but it really gives this hotel the edge over other hotels in Venice.

The staff. Some reception staff were very helpful, however when we went to reception to book the spa facilities, I was just given the phone to book myself. If the hotel offers the spa as an amenity, I would suggest the reception could take responsibility for making bookings on guest behalf’s. We also got told no information during check in, no explanation of amenities available, bar times etc. Staff at breakfast were also hit and miss. They all looked very busy, but we never received an explanation of being able to order eggs direct from the kitchen (we figured this out from seeing other tables being served eggs). We also waited a very long time 2 mornings for eggs - by the time one lot arrived we had finished the rest of our breakfast.

The Hotel is located in the other side(from s Marco sq for example), quite place, with great views, restraunt Baracomi serves delecious food
