I had a wonderful experience at Mandarin Oriental. Luigi was incredibly helpful and made getting around so much easier for me. The entire staff was warm, welcoming, and very friendly, which made me feel comfortable right away. Everything was spotless — super clean, neat, and well-kept. I truly appreciated the attention to detail and the great service. Highly recommended! 🌟

Had a wonderful stay at Mandarin Oriental Pudong Shanghai. The staff were exceptionally attentive and went above and beyond to help us settle in—from assisting with Meituan orders to keeping our room spotless multiple times a day. Service is truly top-notch. The location is fantastic as well, right by the Oriental Pearl Tower. Highly recommend!

The hotel, the facilities, the comfort

15-min drive to centre with.bustling streets. Not so much an issue, but you cannot just get out of the hotel and walk around. You need to take a taxi to the other side of the river. However, if this is not an issue, it is well within reach of everything

Great stay! The staff were great! Java, the guy from Uzbekistan, thanks for the upgrade and make our stay unforgettable. The location is great, next to the canal, the malls are in walking distance. Will be back.

This is by far the nicest hotel we have stayed at. It is elegant without being in your face and rude. The staff was friendly without being pushy. We had every comfort necessary and loved the wide selection from room service. The breakfast downstairs in the hotel was busy but organized and offered the widest variety we have seen at any fine dining buffet we've been to. The tea service in the first floor lounge was very good. We would absolutely recommend this hotel for families.

Exceptional hotel. Wonderful large+clean room, which was in perfect condition, and the most meticulous turn down service I have ever experienced (my charging cables were carefully bound with a Mandarin Oriental branded cable tie, my suitcase was lovingly placed upon a soft mat). Also exceptionally great service at front desk by Luigi, who made sure our stay was perfect.

It was a wonderful stay. The location, the room, the cleanliness, and the view were all beyond description. I must express my gratitude and thanks to Luigi. He was professional in his dealings, followed up on my reservation, and selected a wonderful room for me. He is also a wonderful and helpful person. I will be returning to Shanghai soon, and this hotel will be my first stop.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The facilities were very clean, staff so professional and respectful. I loved the breakfast as it has variety of dishes you can choose from. The price was absolutely great compared to other 5-star hotels. Mandarin Oriental would be my destination if I’m ever returning to Shanghai, which most likely I would.

From check-in to check-out, the front-of-house staff at Mandarin Oriental exceeded all expectations. Warm, professional, and incredibly attentive, they made me feel truly valued as a guest. Whether it was providing local recommendations, assisting with bookings, or simply greeting with a smile every time I walked by, their dedication to guest satisfaction was clear in every interaction. Special thanks to Luigi Savarese who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. From helping me download all the apps necessary for my first time in china , to helping me many times with my internet vpn connection , to recommending places where to go , etc ! Their hospitality set the tone for a memorable stay, and I would absolutely return based on this experience alone. Highly recommended!

Friendliness and outstanding hospitality

Easily the best hotel I have stayed in , and I have stayed in many . The service is on a level I have never encountered. A special thanks to Mr Lucas Li and Mr Luigi . The view is stunning and the breakfast fantastic . I’m currently in Japan at my next hotel and I already miss the Mandarin Shanghai

Location wise, the hotel sets next to river boardwalk which has a jogging and cycling track, multiple restaurants and nice views towards shanghai sky line in addition to ferry station which is easy way to cross to river other side They have shuttle bus services that takes you anywhere within 2km from the hotel for free The staff were helpful and always available to assist Most if them speaks english and easy to communicate with We lost a package in the train station and they managed to get it back in less than 2 days The kids enjoyed the indoor swimming pool

Breakfast buffet was the only downside, same food everyday which wasnt great And the options were limited to someone who doesnt eat pork

The staff Mr. Luigi was a truly considerate, patient, and exceptional person, going above and beyond to assist me with my check-in who really made my day. And manager Sally was also nice in resolving some situations that happened during my stay. Overall, my experience at the Mandarin Oriental was outstanding, thank you so much Mr Luigi.

He was so helpful and full of information what I need , This hotel hotel also prepared free transportation around 2 km form hotel, its very convient for us to travel , thx a lot
