Great quiet rooms Amazing breakfast

Zero attention from the staff, very cold Location is not great, you are on the wrong side of the river unless you are visiting for work Bar closed Lounge empty Soulless business hotel, it’s just a building

Very boring, not up to standard of other mandarin hotels

The room was large and clean. I liked the features in the room and also appreciated the high quality bathroom supplies and consistent supply of bottled water. The breakfast buffet was also good with options and quality. I enjoyed the amenities such as

Our check in process was terrible. We booked 2 rooms for 4 nights totalling 8 nights. They at first couldn’t find our reservation and was so rude about it without trying to help, they told us to step aside to figure it out on our own. Once it was sorted, they didn’t have either of rooms ready. We couldn’t end up checking into our rooms until 4pm which is unacceptable. We ended up spending $1200 RMB in the lobby lounge just to pass time and was not offered any compensation and we were also late for dinner.

Exceptionally friendly staff, clean and a gorgeous hotel

The hotel is simply stunning with an amazing view of the oriental pearl tower, and not far from it. I also liked the facilities and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom/closet took over half of the room and it couldn’t close properly which is not ideal if you’re not staying with your partner.

Key staff is very helpful and fluent in English. However, some staffs (at the hotel door) is very poor in English, very inconvenient for asking them to communicate with taxi driver.

Great place with excellent view of the Huang Pu river day and night. Best of all was excellent staff. kudos to all but especially Victoria ,Mgr Hotel interior, Marco and Wayne at concierge desk. And Sophia at registration desk. Very much recommend with good price with exceptional location . Will stay there again . Thanks to the staff SJH Florida August 2024

The great view, interior, service and location. One of The best restaurant in Shanghai. I love the bath tub design that you can enjoy the stunning landscape when you have a bubble bath.

Breakfast was beyond expectations we were spoiled for choice.

Outside of the hotel it was impossible to use credit cards or money what made going around the town difficult.

The junior staff at the restaurant whom is Carrie a female serve me well. She was polite and super friendly.

I did not really enjoy my stay as the staff were unfriendly. The junior staff are friendly and helpful especially Carrie from breakfast. The managers in suit are not friendly at all. There was this experience when i entered the elevator and the manager was so unfriendly and not a single word of greeting from him. He look so arrogant and unfriendly. I wont want to go back to that hotel anymore.

I am sorry but this is not a 5* service, I was expecting reception to speak proper English, then I got changed my initial room (2815) for a lower quality room (615), I knew I booked for Deluxe River view but I am usually upgraded when going to such hotels and I felt they were downgrading me not explaining the real reason why they changed last minute room allocation. For the price paid, don't expect to receive an excellent treatment you are not as considered as in other competitor chains.

The hospitality is perfect in everything. A relatively quiet room. The elevator doesn't get crowded. A foods are delicious. Mandarin’s staff is nice and friendly.
