Quiet place

I didn’t like the breakfast .

The food at the restaurant is exceptional. The front of house staff are very friendly and helpful

Not enough staff to clean around guests meaning empty bottle and dishes standing around the property for a long time. The bathrooms and decor needs a serious revamp

The location and the view of the city were amazing. A short walking distance you’ll find a few local restaurants and bars. The ambiance was great. The staffing was polite, helpful. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was so good, room was tranquil and super clean. I used the spa as well and can't fault the service or the facilities. I had a lovely break away and highly recommend.

The extra care Thayna, at the front desk and Vik , in the restaurant provided was beyond my expectations. I looked forward to seeing them everyday. Also, the chef that made the Mushroom Rigatoni/pasta dish at the restaurant during dinner did an excellent job and needs an award. I had it twice and thanked him both times. It was Fabulous.

The Valentines dinner at the Bar was disappointing due to having to share the Raclette which was barely enough for 1. Good flavor but overpriced for what we received. We ended up ordering room service of 2 burgers and fries, which were delicious. The Valentines day menu for the restaurant was not appealing at all which is why we selected the bar reservation. Our reservations were for 7pm for the dinner, however they were still setting up. The band was nice but we ended up leaving early to enjoy our room service instead.

Everything was perfect during our stay. I have a special compliment for Bryan and Henrique which hosted us at the Tereze restaurant, they were so kind and helpful with our food restrictions. i highly recommend Hotel Santa Teresa.

Very friendly staff. Beautiful location and amazing view. Amazing breakfast. The place's decoration is off the charts. And the staff really is friendly and readily available for any demand. The spa is amazing! Great massage and great staff also. Would definitely be back.

The restaurant, bar and the poolside bar are a bit overpriced. It was by very far the most expensive drink I had during my trip. Also, for such a high end hotel, some minor details (crack in the room's bathroom mirror, for example) are note worthy. Details that wouldn't be a problem in simpler hotels, but that I find problematic in such a place.

One of my new favorite hotels experiences...such a gorgeous property and amazing staff. I had such a relaxing weekend…everything was perfect!

The jams at the breakfast bar need to be kept fresh and full

Staff is really friendly. I also quite like the hotel tour they offered. Restaurant is amazing.

Sadly, walking around in Rio is not the safest so even though Santa Teresa is a safe neighborhood the ones around it are not and there are favelas so I would not recommend walking around to explore much, especially at night. Staying anywhere in the Santa Teresa area you would need to order ubers ( which are very cheap) for safety and because all the streets are very steep uphill or downhill.

Perfect quiet oasis to take a break from the vibrant city. We spent three days just relaxing by the gorgeous pool. The staff are wonderful. Dinner in the hotel’s restaurant was excellent.

A group of uni friends and I spent three nights at this wonderful hotel. It is well located (if no traffic, very close to the airport and away from the overly touristic Copacabana). The setting is tranquil and zen, and nothing is too much trouble for the very attentive staff. There is a top-notch restaurant on site where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served over panoramic views. It happened to be my birthday on one of the days of my stay - Karolina, and the restaurant staff made it extra special with a handwritten card and some cake. Stayed in Room 29 - no complaints. Lovely views. Only slight concern is noise from the adjoining room can sometimes be heard. Thank you all, especially Karolina (hotel) and Victor Hugo (the restaurant) - You made my stay and my birthday extra special!

Lovely location and staff (particularly Karo and the front desk team). Great views and high quality food. Nice tour through the area and music night at the hotel bar.

Having a gym or any facility to be used nearby would have made it a 10/10.

Exceeded all expectations and the staff was amazing. Spacious and very stylish rooms, the best breakfast we've ever had in the hotel.

The hotel is really beautiful, the decoration very elegant and the view magnificent! We loved our room, the pool and jacuzzi and the breakfast! The staff was very helpful.

The location was tricky but easy to access with a taxi.

Everything about Santa Teresa was perfect. We primarily chose this hotel for the food, and we were not disappointed. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were delicious. Slightly expensive, but to be expected. The staff is very attentive, they provide resources, they got us private taxis to everywhere we were looking for, and they got us reservations into every place we wanted to go. MUST STAY HERE.

Desk for the computer was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.

It was a beautiful hotel. Lovely views from it. Excellent gardens pool and jacuzzi. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Food great. Breakfast delightful. Music on bar wonderful.

Maybe more vegetarian food as we don't eat meat. It's not central - good transport on trams but we were worried about travel as Rio quite worrying at present.

Peaceful atmosphere in a beautiful setting, authentic decoration style, breathtaking view over Santa Teresa and delicious breakfast. The personnel was extremely profesionnal, nice and discrete.

it's a good place to stay for leisure. The staff was arm and helpful. You will not complain about the facilities. We spent a night there, enjoy the sun and drinks there. The hotel restaurant was very nice. You don't need to dine outside since you are in the right place. The foods were delicate and well designed.

The bathroom cannot be shut since the glass door only cover half of the bathroom. It's the only thing that could be improved.

The whole stay was amazing, the staff in reception were so friendly and helpful; they booked tickets and restaurants for us and gave us recommendations of what to see/do whilst in Rio! The breakfast was the best breakfast we had during our time in Brazil, so many options which were all fresh and lovely! The room was amazing, really clean and comfy and overlooking the pool! Couldn’t recommend this hotel more!

Nothing!

The stay was very good. Adão the Restaurant Manager made the whole difference. His big smile and tips on what to do around Santa Teresa helped me and my partner a lot! He is what hospitality needs nowadays! The hotel is so beautiful and the location is great, right in the heart of Santa Teresa.

The only problem is that they don’t have enough PowerPoints in the room to charge the devices and we can’t control the room temperature so the afternoon sun heated the room the whole day and at night even tho I asked 3 times to drop the room temperature it was still 23.5 degrees and there’s nothing I could do about it. Besides that it was a great experience. I would comeback.

i booked a room for the day, I left at 18.00 for the airport so I did not sleep there; considering I am a regular costumer more or less, I would have expected them to give some discount or maybe offer a voucher for my next stay, a gesture mostly that shows care

it is just a magic place, I have been 3 times and a must go when in rio. The hotel has something that is truly magic and unique; like being lost in time but with extremely high level of comfort, extremely high quality of customer service. I travel a lot and stay often in the four seasons likes, but this hotel it is truly a small miracle on the heart of rio. Amazing breakfast, amazing food, wonderful swimming pool area

I agree with some of the reviews, the hotel is in need of some update when it comes to room decor, but for me it is minor compared to the charm of the place

The setting of this hotel is beautiful. The pool deck area is Instagram worthy. We liked the surrounding suburb of Santa Teresa - with a few cool bars, restaurants and art studios. A bit of a treck to the beaches if that's your thing, but otherwise perfect

A little rough and ready when it comes to service. Breakfast sometimes had coffee, sometimes not. The site of seeing staff bag up every item of breakfast for what I can only assume was lab testing is a little unnerving.

One afternoon I invited a friend that I didn’t see from a long time and it was impossible for her to use the pool even if we consume to the bar and the pool area was empty.
