Hotel Palomar, Philadelphia

The hotel has a very nice design and the old architects building and is in a great location. The rooms were clean and really nice.

The elevators were overtaxed and took a long time to come to your floor.

The elevators can be a pain especially if you are in a hurry

Bathroom exhaust didn’t work, bottles of soap/shampoo were just laying in the bath tub vs dispenser, pipes clanked when ac went on.

Cleanliness, location, very friendly staff, the SHOWER and soaps!!!, the cheeseburgers and truffle fries. Valet crew were wonderful!

No microwave in room, no old school paper list of hotel offerings and activities. We definitely paid more for location.

The prices! It was $393 for a basic room, 2 drinks at the bar, valet parking, and tax.

The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Well appointed and attractive bathroom. Very nice dining room and bar with good food. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The lighting back to the elevator area was very dim. Makes it difficult to see especially when coming in from daylight.

Location was great, and suited my needs. Hotel/Staff were all very good/nice/welcoming

Location was great and close to restaurants and the river. The room was good - not exactly like the pictures (missing a few of the accent pillows to make it look first class). But the shower and amenities were all good.

Breakfast vouchers not equal to the number of room occupants - which is cheap. Only valet parking = $70/night which is excessive. The room rate was just over $250/night and by the time you added all the taxes, fees and parking it was over $400/night. Good hotel, but not worth $400+/night.

No coffee maker in the room. Ice was only on 4th floor and we were on 23rd floor. Breakfast was unavailable at 6:30 even though we're nearby a conference center that holds early tournaments/events. No multiple pillow choices - all the same types of pillows.

The staff was friendly and answered my questions and concerns.

There are no amenities for men in the guest room's bathroom. Shaving cream, etc......

Staff was amazing, the valet service was stupid crazy trying to park and get the car sometime however the guys working the valet were always amazing.

There was construction going on right next door that had the water turned off almost 24 hours. No shower or flushing the toilet. Pricing seem a little high Elevators were noise and scared me slightly every thing we got the them..

Paige welcomed us and was incredibly helpful- and we were very happy to have been the "VIP Guest of the Day" because it was my birthday. The bell staff were also friendly, helpful and welcoming.

There wasn't any additional blankets in the room - but housekeeping was quick to bring us one.

Location was excellent , making a car unnecessary. The BEST part is the STAFF!!! I have never been greeted with such joyful, positive regard. Very much influenced the mood of my stay. Loved the wine hour and popcorn. Our included breakfasts were FABULOUS, delicious and generous! Loved that they had umbrellas for us on a rainy day!!!

In our room, Ok, the hook in the bathroom for a robe was unreachable. Near the door would have been helpful. There were no robes, even tho I requested one. There is a ‘nursing home’ smell on the 16th floor when getting off the elevator. A lot of baking soda in the vacuum cleaner or some Farnese might help. This smell DID NOT leak into our room. The daily ‘Guest Amenity Fee’ was a surprise. It worked out ok

Very nice room--configured a little oddly as to the bathroom being a bit of a travel from the bedroom, but that was fine. Great location, kind staff and decent facilities. This is a hotel I have stayed in numerous times and am always satisfied.

The room was a little oddly configured and there was not enough light. The lams in the main room were all hand-turn on--no switches and they just didn't add enough light. There also could be a charging station by the bed--there was none.

The room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable and the shower products were great! The staff was super friendly and very helpful!

There was no coffee maker in the room. Of the 4 elevators that the hotel had only 2 were working at any given time, and the weekend was super busy with the marathon, so waiting for the elevator was a HUGE hassle.

No guidance on how they want things done. Valet was friendly when arriving, but when I left they acted like I was bothering them for asking for a cart to bring my things down or to retrieve my car. Maybe I undercutted their tip by doing things myself. It’s a four star hotel not five star, and nothing was explicit on how they wanted to do things. When I arrived, the trolley with my stuff was just set aside and I rolled it up to my room myself. When I was ready to check out, I was given a hard time about collecting a cart to bring all my bags down. Something about liability, which is a funny line to use toward a lawyer who has seen trolleys for patrons to use themselves in other hotels. I felt like I was patronized and belittled because I didn’t look the part of someone intelligent and who actually knows the law simply because I was wearing jeans and tshirt.

Cute decor. Infused water in the lobby. Exceptionall staff. Bathrooms were beautiful and clean. Bedding is comfortable. Our view was cute!

Valet was about $70, when we went to receive our vehicle, there was a 20+ min. wait due to parking being shared with another hotel. Need better parking options! Breakfast only had a small window of time, and so did happy hour. Elevators are Painfully slow.

My hubs and I love the Kimpton and the king bed! We enjoy the jetted tub and the general ambiance of the hotel. The staff is always top notch!

I am not sure if Covid has taken a toll but was a little surprised of the condition of the room. Curtains are stained in the bathroom and the chain is broken. Drain plug was also broken and we had to pry it up to drain the tub. Sheers were ripped badly by the couch. Lights in the bathroom were badly decaying from moisture. Room 2202 needs some help.

Beautiful spot, nice lounge, great staff, clean and normal-sized rooms with nice modern facilities. No complaints. Center city pricing, but that's just how it is in that area.

Hotel bar was kinda weak; especially considering the one directly across the street from their front door is waaaay nicer.
