Hôtel National Des Arts et Métiers, Paris

Stylish hotel , tastefully decorated rooms, nice big windows opening to a balcony, lively bar and restaurant downstairs. Convenient location with lots of bistros and restaurants nearby.

We hated the room layout. The toilet was separate to the bathroom and was basically in a cubicle at the foot of the bed! There was no window or washbasin in the cubicle… so it was unpleasant and impractical as you then had to go to the bathroom to wash hands. We asked to switch rooms as soon as we saw it but were told the hotel was full and we could change the next day… but that also proved problematic as the manager was not around in the morning … so we just put up with it.

Beautiful hotel.. but actually the room I was and definitely is looking little weathered. Chipped paint on minibar, general marks and scratches on paintwork, cup ring on wood. Shower head didn’t stay up. The free bottle of water had clearly been refilled.. the lid was dented and the glass bottle wasn’t clean. For a room that was 900 for two nights - not good enough.

Staff were extremely attentive and housekeeping came every day making everything look great. Felt very safe at all times and well taken care of.

The beds were extremely firm and the night club was very loud on the weekends. The hotel seemed like it was leaning more into looks over comfort in some ways, with things like the toilet paper holders not actually keeping the paper on them, sink faucet was too close to the drain etc. Basic comforts kind of lagged because of it.

We had a sudden need to stay five more days. I suspect that the statement, "We are completely booked for that period," was not true.

The hotel was pretty cool and pretty.

We had lots of bugs in our room. We had to ask someone at 2 am to come clean it up. It was very disappointing. And the balcony in the pictures looked much bigger. The table and the 2 chairs were dirty.

Breakfast buffet was good. Not a large variety of things to eat but all was fresh and healthy and good.

The maitre d on the breakfast station was rude because breakfast was not included with my room. No problem I'll pay cash I said, but still rude, making me feel as if I'd done something wrong. Abrupt rudeness is par for the course in Paris but it's still a drag when it happens.

The hotel is in a great area and we enjoyed walking around the area.

The younger members of staff were very welcoming and pleasant but older members were somewhat less helpful.

The hotel is located in front of a church. Though it is so beautiful. It is not in the center of the Mare, so it is a 25-minute walk. Near the hotel there is a pharmacy and monooprix and it is very connvieniet. The room is small and cozy and clean. I took a room with a balcony, so it was amazing. The bath is not so convenient and safe since the bath itself is quite high, and it was difficult to get into it. Not for children or elderly people. About the staff, I would expect more. In general it is a charming hotel.

I worte up. The bath. And I didn't feel the staff at the reception desk. They were very busy with birucracy and less with helping the guests.

there were no toiletries at all other than shampoo and soap. nothing it was really odd service want bad but can definitely be better breakfast was over priced for the offering @30euro with no custom egg options it’s a fabulous property and write above a metro and amazing restaurants cafés etc all 5 mins walk

Annoying sound/vibration of metro/rail (I was on 1st floor). Hotel does not want to book taxis under 2 hours in advance...hello! we in 21st century guys.

Lovely staff, clean and beautifully decorated hotel, very nice rooftop bar with fantastic views and cocktails, great restaurant, the best location in Paris.... We (2 adults, 4 kids) stayed just 2 nights on our way back from holiday in Spain. We certainly come back and will book a longer stay, that's for sure! We may consider leaving the kids at home than ;-).

Minor detail: the bar closed around midnight instead of 2am as it says on the website.

Wonderful, friendly staff. Great breakfast and beautiful room with balcony, with fabulous views. In a very central location and well sound-proofed, so slept very well.

I'm never keen on the surprise fees to cover any extras, so didn't appreciate the extra 100 Euros per night being added to my card on check in.

Nice parisian hotel very well located in Paris, clean and comfortable room. checkin was fast and staff was pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again!

It will be great if there is a music speakers in the room. Breakfast could be improved if you offer more healthy options.
