The only thing I can pick for is potentially the price and when we got there we had to pay an additional $20 for parking. Why not just add that into the cost of the hotel?

At check in didn't have a room ready for us. It was after 4pm... And was never aware of having to pay $20 for over night parking....

Everything! it was like stepping back in time! The floors were so shiny it looked like the ceiling lights were coming out of the floor. Very charming!

The $20 extra fee for parking on their property. We have never paid for parking at a hotel.

We had to leave a day early because I requested no down bedding which there wasn’t but I don’t believe it was cleared out because I was sick. Too long of a hold on my account for incidentals

The elegant feeling of an older property just can’t be duplicated and The Ambassador had so much ambiance!

The outside signage could be a little less confusing, one of the signs said to use the north door and it’s not realistic to expect a traveler to know directions. If the front desk were to send a note before arrival to say “drive in under the archway on Wisconsin Ave” it would help a lot

It's located right outside The Rave, which is beyond convenient for me, plus the familiarity with the facilities makes the stay that much more enjoyable.

Anything I didn't like was my doing and had nothing to do with the hotel itself (i.e. forgetting certain items for my stay).

the art deco style really drew me to this location. the lobby was well maintained. both the dining area and bar were also in tip top shape. the staff were absolutely amazing! I didn’t meet one person on the staff that didn’t greet me with a smile or ask how my stay was going. did I mention the property has a complementary shuttle? shout out to Taurus and his welcoming demeanor and professionalism. he was an added plus to the experience at this location.

we booked a king room and the blinds were broken in the bathroom and the overall room had a musty dusty ambience. I knew booking the hotel it wasn’t going to be “modern” so that wasn’t a huge deal for me. adding a refrigerator/microwave to the rooms would make huge difference to me and other guests. I personally hate having warm beverages or having to ice them up. that little difference would have made the other things not such a big deal.

The bathroom was freezing! Didn’t seem to have heat in that area. Otherwise, everything was great!

The decor was beautiful, the main halls and the room was very clean. The "old" vibe but very well maintained and clean was a unique experience. Staff was pleasant and kind. The security was nice given the area.

No vending machines to try to force the use of the expensive mini bar. I reserved a double queen months in advance and they had none when I arrived. They did fix the problem but still, annoying. And parking. I was aware of the cost but I still think it's ridiculous to charge paying guests to park. There's no security in the parking garage, the elevator doesn't work so really, it was a hassle.

Uber driver warned me of the area, I had a quiet night in anyway but it didn’t seem that bad. It was quiet on the streets. The hotel is old but that’s fine

The decor was very tasteful, it wasn't "theme overloaded" . The rooms were quiet, beds were comfortable and we were on a 8th floor in a corner room. Windows lined the wall. It was such a great view. We stayed for two nights. And the desk clerk went out of her way to be friendly and helpful every interaction we had with her.

When we arrived to our room the heat was not functioning. It was repaired the next morning. Our room was missing a working phone for room service order.

We were in town for a show at the Rave and it was a perfect location. We thought the hotel would be noisy with a lot of other guests after the concert but we couldn't hear anything - the room was extremely quiet.

The elevators broke down while we were there staying on the 7th floor.

Having to pay for parking on top of the rate for the stay. It should be included in the stay.

The only negative is some stains in the room. Carpet and comforter both had stains.

Staff is always very professional and pleasant. Shuttle drivers are super friendly. Highly recommend this hotel and we will be staying again.

The entry gate for the parking garage was stuck open on the second evening I was there.

I liked the location, it was across the street from the venue. The staff was very friendly and checking in was a breeze.

Our room was very small, we did not have a refrigerator thankfully we brought a cooler otherwise we would have had to rent a fridge.

It was within walking distance of the concert venue I attended. Also, it wasn't absurdly expensive. Plus, the service was fantastic.

For one, the bathroom door in the room we stayed in didn't like to stay shut and was tricky to lock. And the only other issue I noticed was the toilet didn't seem to like to flush on first or second attempt. Not a big deal, I would still stay there again if i go to another concert in that area..

This historic hotel was fun. The retro decor was cool. Yes, because it is old, there are some quirks but the style and vibe outweighed the few inconveniences. We took advantage of the free shuttle and the drivers were very nice and accommodating. The room is big with plenty of space to spread out your stuff without tripping over it. We went to the bar at happy hour and had the signature drink, the Gin Rickey. It was super delicious and a bargain at the 2 for 1 happy price. Overall, our stay was great and we will return.

The location was not the best. They charged me for parking and I didn’t park, when I called to straighten it out they said to call back the next day when a manager was there…now it’s a hassle. The elevators were small. The bed was a queen instead of a more comfortable king.

If you understand the importance of preserving the best examples of Milwaukee history, this hotel is gorgeous example. The staff was welcoming and helpful. By no means is this is not a 5-star hotel, it does give you the feeling of being a special guest of the city.

Sports channel on tv. I like to have ESPN on all day and night when I am travelling. Not having that was kind of a bummer though I will admit it got me out of the room more and out to enjoy more of the city. BUT STILL GET ESPN

No bed side table on the one side of the bed. I get it there was no room for one but no outlet for phone or to put something down. Two sinks! Nice! A bar of soap at each sink would have been nicer :)
