Babila Hostel & Bistrot, Milan

The bathroom inside the room had two showers which was quite helpful during the stay. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioning in the room was a blessing during those hot days I stayed there. The lockers are decently sized for a cabin bag and a medium sized backpack.

The shower broke on my first day there but the staff promptly fixed it the day after. The bathroom was really hot but it was manageable.

To be fair, the rooms and bathrooms were clean.

The bed was narrower than usual. Climbing to the top bunk was very difficult and not safe. The staff at the reception were unhappy and rude. Of course, the service industry is hard, but if they don’t want to be there, maybe they don’t belong in this sector.

Great location, lovely building, food and drinks were nice. The rooms were clean and tidy and the lockers provided plenty of space.

The only issue I encountered was my keycard for the room kept deactivating. I had to reset the card 3 times during my stay.

We had an unplanned visit to Milan, so we were happy to book last beds in the hostel just after landing. Friendly staff, modern and cozy rooms with locker boxes. Not far from good cafes and Duomo.

The service is pretty nice; there will always have someone at the counter.

I don't think AC works during this 30 degree summer day, so it's impossible to close all of the window, therefore there are too many mosquitoes during the night, the sleeping quality is not that good. At my first night there might be some party close to the hostel so it's quite loud until 12.

Less ventilation, the stairs on the bunk bed should have handles to get down. It’s very scary for me to get down from the top of the bunk bed . No handles .

Good location, confortable small beds. The nicest thing is the bathroom, even if it’s shared you get a bit of intimacy because there is a door.

It is a bit difficult and dangerous to get up and down the bed maybe adding a bar to hold yourself would be better

It lacked that upbeat and friendly vibe that I've experienced at other hostels. I didn't feel super welcome.

It has great location quite central but not extremely busy you can reach all the main attractions by foot and the neighbourhood it is located is beautiful. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

The vibe is a bit off maybe it is because of the dates I booked but the staff was not putting as much effort in organising/advertising events as I have seen in other hostels.

The staff was very helpful and up to date and spoke English very well. Great location and many people statues there even for Milan design week who I wouldn’t expect Good value for money and made lots of sense vs a hotel

The facilities at this hostel were amazing. The kitchen was great and its right next to the terrace. You can do laundry. The “yoga room” was a nice spot to hang out after i checked out and waited for my bus. The luggage storage was free and had lockers you can lock (with your own lock).

About what you'd expect for a hostel.

Bit too bright and could be noisy from the surroundings.

I stayed in a 6 bedded female dormatory. On arrival, staff were welcoming and friendly. Bed was really comfortable and bedding was clean. Lockers provided were of a good size, with a lockable key. Bathroom was clean and towels could be hired for €2. Location was a ten minute walk to the centre and metro.

Curtains around the bunk bed were really needed!! Other guests were allowed to check-in after midnight, this impacted everyone in the room as shining of phone torches, disturbed fellow guests!!

Overall, it was a pleasant place to stay. The staff was helpful and friendly, the space was clean, and the location was excellent—both central and convenient. However, I would have preferred slightly larger rooms, as the six-bed dorms felt a bit crowded when fully occupied. Additionally, I found it somewhat pricey for a hostel, though, to be fair, many hostels in Milan tend to be on the expensive side.

Great place to stay, great staff, margarita and Ish are lovely people. Great drinks, very helpful all throughout . Other guests were fantastic company. Ish made me an amazing huge portion chicken salad with fries. I wish them all the very best

The beds however are problematic because there were a lot of noisy users talking loudly at night but the staff was unresponsive.

Only about 15 minutes walk to the Duomo. Great location and good to have a toilet in the shared dormitories.

As a shared dormitory, it can be hit or miss depending on who else is sleeping there.

I did not take the breakfast but the staff were really kind and helpfull. The location was good but it's not exactly close to the center, around 30 minutes walking.
