Babila Hostel & Bistrot, Milan

Amazing location and great for a solo female backpacker ! It was very easy to find, the staff are helpful and available 24/7. I was able to stow my luggage for the day on checking out and also got my laundry done.

The wifi doesn’t reach rooms on level 2 so you need to hang out in the reception area for best connectivity

A historical building in a pleasant artistic area within walking distance from the Duomo. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. A really friendly and helpful staff at the reception. My family and I just loved the place and can definitely recommend it. We would gladly choose it again if any of us comes back to Milan one day.

Our room was close to the kitchen, and some tourists gathered there in the evenings, and spoke loudly till late at night. Probably placing a note somewhere in the kitchen area asking guests to keep quiet after midnight would be fine.

Great location and comfortable rooms. Even though there were 6 of us, rooms were quite spacious. There is a terrace, kitchen (a bit dirty though), bar with cheap drinks during happy hour, and additional bathrooms and toilets on each floor

Wifi was not working in the rooms until the last day of my stay.

Perfect vibe and service. Everyone was so kind , respectful and nice. The room was perfect and clean with a really nice bathroom. Really spacious and offered clean sheets, soap. The bar ,kitchen and terrace were amazing . Great places to relax with many things to offer in affordable prices. The location was also really good , near the bus / tram stop. The place in general was beautiful , with unique decorations and personally loved the elevator, cutest elevator ever!

Would be nice to have AC / fan in the rooms because it was summer and it was a bit hot , but that was just a small detail. Everything else was amazing.

Location is great, rooms are comfortable and spacious.

Staff at night was a little off, too slow, not knowing how to quickly operate . Can be noisy, depends on roommates …

The only thing I would have improved on is putting curtains around each bunk bed so you have your own private area. Great overall though!

Spacious and clean rooms. Common areas are large and a great way to meet people. Breakfast is cheap and very good for a hostel

It would be nice to have curtains for privacy. The lockers can only hold small suitcases. It would be nice if the front desk staff told me that I can also pay the deposit in cash in Euros. He only asked for my bank card and he had access to all my bank card information. I personally think this is Not safe.

Don’t really have one, but if I had to say, the music was always played late into the night.

The staff was friendly & helpfull. Any question and information was available.

Bed was comfy, rooms were big and spacious for 8 bed dorm, 10 min walk from metro

Showers were small in the dorm but thankfully there were other showers on the floor that were bigger, my 50L backpack didn't fit in the lockers so I could only fit valuables and day backpack inside

The mattress was good. The public areas and kitchen were very good compared to the other places ive stayed in italy where they are often limited to jug and microwave.

There were too many beds in the room. Compared to most other dorm rooms i stayed in italy, this was twice as many as should be in the space. The showers were tiny - not big enough to dry yourself in and therefore privacy in-the mixed dorm was compromised because you’d have to run out naked into the basin area, pick up your towel and clothes and head to the large toilet to get dressed. So it is poorly designed made worse by the fact of it being a mixed dorm. There is only one toilet for the dorm and it should be only one shower as well. You cant bring your towel into the shower. Showers all through italy are stupidly small but this one takes the cake. I suspect the design of the dorm is illegal - based on a discussion i had at another hostel previously about floor area and bed numbers. Therefore this hostel is not any kind of value for money as its an expensive hostel.

The staff was like doing ther job, not even a hi or welcome. Not very easy acess. And they say they are a bistrot but only work thursday to saturday

The location is perfect. The architecture of the building is amazing. The staff is great.

The entire environment inside is quite old, beds could be better and more comfortable. In some corners of the room there was a spiderweb. The hostel environment became worse with years: seems like nobody cares about guests comfort.

The location is very convenient in a rather quiet street and within walking distance to metro and Duomo.It is modern,clean and I loved the terrace on the roof!

I stayed only one night so didn't experience something negative.

The staff is friendly especially Yamna, a very helpful lady who recommanded me many places in Milano and also the best ways of transportation to get there. Yam'a was in charge of the cleaning and the room was perfecly clean eceery day. The bess are very comfortable: I was in a lower bed, and whenever the person on the upper bed moves I just don't feel anything and helped me sleep well. The locker size was sufficient. The kitchen is well equiped and the terrasse is big. The luggage room is free and quite big. The elevator was antic but efficient. The bar is pretty good to sip a coffee and work/ read the news. The hostel is roomughly 10 min away in foot from Duomo.

There is no quiete room to be able to work in a quiete environment or do a meeting in Skype. The bar might be loud in the afternoon but quiete in the morning and the evening.

The location is great, walking distance from the duomo, the room was clean and spacious for a family. The breakfast was nice

There was a party downstairs Friday night so difficult to sleep with all the noise
