The Vagabond Hotel, Miami

Great location and awesome pool area.

Air conditioning didnt work very well and you can hear the noise from people passing your room outside.

Good location. Friendly staff. Rooms are big and comfortable.

There was either a machine or a piece of equipment that would sound like an alarm for 5 seconds every 15 minutes. ALL night. I was there for one night and it was just impossible to sleep. I'll never know what it was, but I'm not coming back to find out.

The location- nothing to do in the area, you can here everything in the room from outside and other rooms.

The funky room was fun. The bed was comfortable. Parking was easy and appreciated Location was fantastic near heaps of restaurants.

Unfortunately the floor boards crackle above when walked on. We were on the ground floor. This noise, and the lit up walkway light coming in the uncovered frosted glass door of our toom spoilt our first night there. The second night the room above was empty and we draped something over the glass door so we had a much better nights sleep. No obvious liquid milk for tea and coffee at reception was disappointing. (Just powdered whitener seen) I couldnt recommend Vagabond until they provide blinds for the room doors.

Upon arrival I was highly impressed with the friendliness of the staff at check in. Walked to my room and was blown away by how spacious and lovely it was! You could full-on starfish in the bed and still have room for both of you! The pool are was beautiful and clean. Having the patio area to sit out in the evening and bring our own beer whilst we made plans for the next day was perfect. I would definitely stay here again if we came back to Miami, I’m only disappointed I didn’t have more time there to have a day around the pool.

I didn’t notice if there was anywhere to grab a drink. There was a bar by the pool but never saw it staffed.

It was in walking distance to the venue we were attending and restaurants.

It was not as clean as it should have been. As soon as we walked in someone else hair was on the bathroom counter as well in the shower. Luckily I bring my own cleaning supplies to make it more comfortable for us. But for the rate I paid I expected it to be cleaner than it was.

Staff were amazing! Room was big and clean.

The retro decor was lovely. The room was a good size, as was the shower. I really liked the high vaulted ceiling. Next to the hotel is the restaurant, Ensenada. It’s only open on the weekends, but it’s excellent!

It wasn’t as clean as I would have liked, but I am picky.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Nice big remodeled shower. No parking or resort fees. The pool area looked nice but the weather was too bad to use it.

I think it is a bit over priced for the location and amenities. Other places at the same price point offer breakfast and a shuttle. However, parking was free and there are no resort fees so it may even out.

This is an AWESOME place to stay! Close to the cruise Port of Miami!

The hotel was amazing!

We were 3 (2 teens and myself) and the only room with 3 beds had a king (great) and a pull out for a mini sofa. My youngest slept in it but with his feet out of the bed and a very poor mattress 😢

The hotel has been refurbished to modern standards, but it retains a very pleasant '50s look. It has a swimming pool and a small but well equipped gym.

No kettle or coffee machine in the room (although coffee was available at the reception all day. It does not feel the same, though)

We enjoyed tremendously. The pool is so nice. The rooms are nice. The shower is huge and the bathrobes were a nice touch.

No fridge or microwave in the room. Wasn’t too bad but having to store an actual key in a small vacation pouch, constantly worried not to lose it, was a little much. The charge, if lost, is $100.

The location was perfect, only 15 minutes from the airport but a quick uber ride to everything we wanted to do in Miami. We didn't rent a car but e didn't miss it since there were so many great restaurants 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The neighborhood felt safe walking with my 2 young daughters. The pool was exceptional. Large and quiet with plenty on sun loungers but enough shade to keep you cool also. Rooms were spacious, impeccably clean and well decorated. Rain shower had great water pressure and the shower stall was huge! Staff was efficient and friendly. Set on a busy road but you couldn't hear any traffic noise in the rooms. Pool was set back off the street and surrounded by greenery that made it feel like a secluded resort. It really was a quiet little oasis in the middle of the city.

No blackout curtains, just blinds so the lights from the parking lot was bright in the room. It never got fully dark to sleep. We had to rig up our beach towels over the windows at night to get it mostly dark.

Located on a busy road, US 1 / Biscayne Blvd but you wouldn't notice that it was.

The pool is nice and large I would estimate 20 by 7 mtr. nice pool furniture, pool bar from Thursday to Sunday. The bathroom has a separate toilet which I find a plus, large walk-in shower and nice large vanity. Bed was large and comfortable, also the plastified TV list was very handy. The room interior was ikea-retro which I found very pleasing. Great restaurants in walking distance especially the Italian restaurant NiDo and Jimmy's Eastside diner for a hearty breakfast.

I think the place was great, if you want to be very picky, the A/C was rather loud.

Quick check in, and the room was comfortable, nice and clean.

Everything was perfect, beautiful rooms, very clean, staff was very helpful, especially Juan. The neighborhood was safe and had nice coffee shops and small restaurants near by. The dinner and the bakery on the corner are excellent. Bonus is a free parking.

Loved this vintage motel in Memo. The entire street is a bit of a nostalgia lane with The Vagabond as the master piece. Nice and big room with huge bathroom area. Really loved the vibe of the place especially around the pool. Make sure you spend some time there. Lots of excellent restaurants at walking distance. For instance go for breakfast or lunch to the two places just across the street or Jimmy's Diner. The person that commented there was no food in the street clearly made no effort to look outside. There is a great Greek Diner with a lovely terrace touching the motel. This area is trendy, away from the over touristy places. It is close to Wynwood, the Design District and at walking distance from Ironside.

The outside window has a roller blinds, the windows towards the corridor has only venetian blinds. Those venetian blinds did not close enough to keep lights outside. This room was therefor way too light during the night. Suggestion: add a roller blind or dim the lights in the corridor during the night.

The staff was courteous and the room/apartment and facility was kept clean and nice. The proximity to the airport was not a big deal, as there were few departures and arrivals. Similarly, the road between the area and the ocean was pretty busy but not a nuisance. I am planning to go back, I really enjoyed the place!

We really liked the overal aesthetic and vibe of the Motel plus it was great to read about its history. It was exactly what we were looking for and very comfortable.

One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. Historic district MiMo and updated vintage motel. Rooms, pool area were perfect.

The room looks just like the pictures on their website - no extra enhancing. It has well done vintage charm without being old or worn down. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The pool is nice and it was refreshing to see an actual deep end that was more than 5 feet. Huge shower. I liked the floor mats next to the bed - with the terrazzo floor, that's a nice touch and I wish more hotels with tile floors would do this. The price was fantastic.

The door didn't lock automatically. There's not much to do in the neighborhood except some really excellent places to eat. The heat from the dehumidifier was a bit much but it was nice to have one in the room. I dumped it twice in the one day we stayed.

It’s quite far away from most attractions so I would recommend a car. There is not a tonne to do in the area.

No elevator to second floor and the shower opened right into the room, which is a bit awkward when traveling with friends.

Jose and Luis, hotel managers/ owners were over the top. super engaging and always took time to speak with us.

We had a nice night's stay at Vagabond Hotel. The pool was lovely and pretty big for a motel, they even had a pool bar! The room was also very big and spacious and decorated in a cool retro yet modern style. Fridges are available to rent for 10 dollars per night, we just used an ice bucket instead to cool our wine! The team were friendly and welcoming, overall a nice spot to rest your head!
