Needs some updating

The staff was amazing, I didn't ask their names, but I do remember Alvin he was exceptional. Very helpful and very friendly. Overall, the stuff for me was my highlight, from security to the janitors, the receptionists exceptional.

I think the pool needs a little bit of refurbishment

The facility was good, the building was good, the cleanliness was good, but they need to put better vibes during the meantime. I mean, I used to be in another hostels where the vibe is so fun, the stuff is so friendly, which is better than a good building.

Excellent cost benefit in Miami, where prices are so high, it's possible to stay comfortable without paying much at Freehand. The staff is very kind and the room is very comfortable. The location is not the best if you're looking to go and come back from downtown, but it's possible to take the free bus Miami offers and the beach is quiet and great to relax. The hotel provides free chairs and an umbrella, which is AWESOME. Overall experience was excellent.

Lightning in the room wasn't the best, but honestly, nothing to complain, Just mentioning it.

There is a bar, a swimming pool, washing machines and the rooms have all you need. The location is perfect and it is cheap.

The plant life and the architecture. The privacy was nice too.

I didn’t find the eagle room till the last night.

I loved the room, it was spacious, bunk beds were comfortable, good lockers and room to store luggage and move around

Wasn’t that clean, had to wear shoes in the room because the floor was dirty, bathroom never got cleaned. Pool and pool area not well looked after and some staff didn’t speak English which made it difficult at times

It is a hostel not a real hotel. I review the hotel part Stayed at the double rooms and it was overpriced. the room was very very big that was great but the building is old and it smelled so musty in the room and you could not open the windows. Stayed at the ground floor and did not feel safe, building was next to the main building so a little bit apart and there was no security. saw a lot of homeless people jumping over the fence using the outside bathrooms and hanging out in front of our window. Bc of the bar ( many non guests in the evenings ) it s loud till after midnight it s ok bc its also a hostel and for young people but you have to know this. If you prefer a hotel experience it s not the right place. But i think the hostel part is really great ! Great location and nice area

Nice pool, beach 2 min walk

No curtains on beds, bathroom inside room and no outside. Cleaning not done everyday.

The sink in the bathroom is blocked and took forever to get the water out after shower, which was disgusting. Apart from it, everything was fine

If I had to point out something ….. the edge of the pool tiles need to be scrubbed. But that’s totally not a big deal. I’ll do it for a free night of sleep :)

Staff was very accommodating.

The bar attracts a lot of people, lots of people coming and going at all hours.

The rooms had atleast two bathrooms, so you didn't have to bang on the door to use the toilet. And they had extra restrooms in the hallway. The room was cold at first but you are able to change or turn off the fan. Deposit for the room was only $1 which was awesome. They had big lockers to put the personals in. And bar food was awesome. Will definitely be back here when I come back to Miami.

The only wish I had was that the pool was opened longer.

Even tho I was a bit scared bc it was the first time in a shared bedroom with 3 strangers, I had super friendly people in my room. The pool area and bars looked super nice which I didn’t get to use bc I just had one night and had to leave early in the morning

I didn’t mind the loud music playing in the evening but if someone would that could be a problem, other then that I had a great time

The staff is great, excellent location, the vibes, near to beach and amazing peatonal besides river
