Riad Azoulay, Marrakech

The whole experience staying here was wonderful - one of the best places I have ever stayed. The staff were fantastic and kind, the riad itself is beautiful. Food was excellent - we did a cookery class at the riad too and learnt lots! As two girls staying, it was perfectly tucked around a little lane beside the markets, so it was nice and quiet, incredibly peaceful, yet felt more than safe to walk to it at night time. Would absolutely stay again if ever back in Morocco!!

Cleanliness, the staff, service, the roof top, locally made evening meals if you informed the chef in advance, and of course the location. Very close to the Bahia Palace and within walking distance of the Jemaa El-Ina square.

The riad was an oasis of serenity in what is a vibrant city which is always busy. The rooms and the public rooms were spotlessly clean. The food provided on our first night was excellent, as good as anything we ate during our trip and the breakfasts were varied. The staff were excellent and always willing to help. Special mention to both Abdul and Ayoub (hopefully spelt) correctly fit their service during our visit.

Traditional Beautiful Riad, inside Medina, next to spice market. Walking distance to all main attraction. Clean & beautiful. We’ve been to all hotels in the world comparing the level of service & star level. Staff of Riad Azoulay tops it! Exceptional! Goes above and beyond demonstrating a high level of commitment and dedication beyond what is expected, from hands on & prompt communications, to arranging transfers, organising drop off & pick up to golf course, to arranging tour guide, to purchasing tickets, to arranging magnificent breakfast & dinner…to arranging surprise breakfast in the roof top for my husbands bday. I have so much positive to say about Riad Azoulay. I will definitely and highly recommend this place.

We love everything about this property.

The hotel was really centrally located to the Medina and sights. They were very accommodating and organised transport to and from the airport. The Riad was beautiful, a nice oasis from the busy streets of Marrakech. Breakfast was lovely. All of the staff - the front desk, cleaning staff, and chef - were so lovely.

It really was a Beautiful Riad. The staff were incredible they couldn’t do more for you. So polite and helpful. Really made our trip so special! The breakfast was fresh and traditional. The roof is perfect to sunbathe and relax and the rooms are immaculate. Thank you

Excellent location, walking distance from most things to do, exceptional staff, we had the set dinners two night and they were delicious, with care to also provide options for our kids.

Nit picking here, but universal plugs/usb points would have been helpful. Safe not big enough for a laptop.

Delicious breakfast, different every day. Room large and very comfortable, beautifully decorated. Staff very friendly and helpful (especially Mohammed). The location near the spice souk and Bahia Palace is great, and 15 mins walking distance to Jemaa El-Fna and medina. The ambience of the Riad was lovely, a peaceful haven to come to after the hustle & bustle outside. Peaceful seating area in the patio next to a water feature with beautiful trees and the sound of birds, very tranquil. Nice roof terrace.

Can’t fault the Riad which is awesome but worth knowing that there is a bit of noise late at night from locals socialising in nearby alleys, but if you close all the windows you can hardly hear it. The walk to the Riad is ok if you are with someone but it is quite dark to walk alone at night but still felt safe. Also worth knowing that the taxis will drop you in a local Square, then you need go walk 5-6 minutes in covered alleyways full of stalls selling mainly spices to get to the Riad.

The property is absolutely beautiful. An oasis in the city. So relaxing, comfortable, welcoming. The staff were amazing! Made us feel at home and all are so friendly. Went out of their way to meet our needs and ensure we were enjoying our stay.

The facilities are great, breakfast, dinners, rooms, rooftop, seating areas but more importantly the Staff is out of this world, they make sure you spent the most comfortable and relaxing time at the Riad. They are all magnificent at their jobs and attitudes toward clients.

Very firm/hard mattress and pillows for our taste. Staff responded immediately when asked for pillow alternatives

Staff was very friendly and helpful upon our arrival and until our departure, we booked the dinner which was delicious and hamman and massage which was one of the best experiences and way to end our trip in Morocco. Rooms and hotel were spacious and nicely designed, good to get some rest. :) We also booked the transfer to airport which was seamless, would highly reccomend to stay here.

Taxis didn't know where to drop us off and had to walk a bit of distance to the location which was difficult to find at first, it would be nice to have drop off locations or meeting guests upon arrival at a meeting point.

Riad Azoulay is situated in a middle of the medina, walking distance from Jemaa el-Fnaa. When entering one find itself in a beautiful inner courtyard with a small pool, immersed in palm trees. Rooms are very stylish and clean, every day there is a sweet treat ( dates and cookies ). Breakfast is very tasty and different - it includes fresh fruits, yogurt, traditional bakery, coffe or tea. One can enjoy SPA and massages on requests. Staff of Riad Azoulay is very professional and attentive - Our stay there was very pleasant!

The courtyard of the Riad is amazing and calming. Our bedroom was spotless and very nicely decorated, and the bed was comfortable. The staff members are all lovely and made us feel at home. We had dinner at the Riad the first night, and it was delicious. The riad is located in a buzzing area and close to the exciting medina. We’re glad we picked Riad Azoulay and definitely recommend!

We really liked the Riad. It is very well located. The decor and furniture are very authentic. It is a very quiet and clean space. The staff is fantastic and the breakfast is always incredible. A special thank you to Ibrahim for his availability and hospitality

EVERYTHING, I actually don't really put effort in reviews but I really want to do something back to show gratitude to how amazing the staff was, I will never get over the smell of the rooms, the cleanliness, the service, the architecture

Absolutely nothing, I would just make people who aren't Moroccan like myself or aren't familiar with the medinas little streets that you may have to walk 2 to 5 minutes from where taxi will drop you to the riad itself as the idea of these is for you to live the local traditional experience so they're hidden gems rather than hotels on the main streets

Enjoyed thoroughly everything and specially everybody’s kindness. Everything was extremely well taken care of and clean and everybody was extremely attentive and nice.

this riad was phenomenal! a little hidden gem, not only is the actual hotel/rooms beautiful, but the service is also amazing and friendly. We ate dinner there for 3 nights and it was such a highlight of our trip, every meal was fresh, authentic and delicious. highly recommend if you’re going to Marrakech!

Probably one of the best accommodation experiences I've had in my life. Staff is ultra friendly and helpful, with mentions to Said and Abdul, who helped us with orientations surrounding , booking dinner reservations, always with a smile on the face. Rooms were really clean and comfortable, and we had an everyday treat waiting for us everytime we'd come back from the daily tours. Food was delicious with plenty of variety in the breakfast and a top experience with the extra dinner menu we bought (31 € per person) when they happily served the wine we brought from the market. Location was perfect, 5 minute walk from Bahia and Badi palace, close enough from the square and the medina souks, in the middle of the less touristic spices market and the Mebllah neighborhood. And at last, the overall vibe of the place is impeccable with an extremely well planned decoration, sound and scents (I literally took around 200 pics of the place). It was always a pleasure going back to Azoulay after a busy day, and we hope to come back someday :)

Nothing really. It's important to highlight that Azoulay is more costly than Marrakech average and in comparison with our other accommodations in Morocco, but we can't say it was not worth it. Azoulay put the bar really high for the other places we stayed during our trip.

this is the perfect sanctuary and retreat from the bustling streets. everything about our stay was wonderful. the room was gorgeous and spacious, and the Riad itself was just stunning. there was plenty of space to spread out and enjoy a mint tea. we had dinner here one evening and we’re so glad we did - highly recommend making time in your itinerary to have dinner here. the staff were just excellent, so helpful, patient and kind. I couldn’t recommend this Riad more - simply fabulous. I know some reviews mentioned the prayer calls, I personally found them very special! particularly if you’re on the rooftop during afternoon prayers - breathtaking!

This was a slice of paradise in the middle of a very busy Marrakech. The staff could not have done more or been more accommodating/helpful. The hammam and massage was fabulous and the food was divine. I will definitely be coming back!!!

I may say that this place is one of the most beautiful places where I have stayed. The place is gorgeous, the breakfast very good and the staff just amazing. Our stay was so good that we wanted to stay one more night. Next time i go to marrakech i will stay at Azoulay for sure.

Everything! The staff were amazing, working really hard and professional, always there when you need them and smiling and polite, the riad it's self was very clean and so beautiful and tranquil, everything's was amazing and we wish we could have never left. We will be back for sure!!!!!

This hotel stay was incredible. The staff were outstanding and the team should be very proud. Every little detail had been thought of and nothing was too much for the staff. They gave us excellent tips on the best shopping spots, places to eat etc. Yet one of the best meals we had was actually at the restaurant here. The desert was of the highest quality, even for western standards. The hotel was clean and very peaceful, despite all of the hustle and bustle being right outside the door. The location is excellent and I would love to visit here again in the future. Thank you for the great stay!

With an extremely courteous staff and a beautiful facility, Riad Azoulay was perfect for our stay. The breakfast was wonderful and the dinners were some of the most delicious meals we've eaten in a while. The Riad was walking distance to Bahia Palace, multiple marketplaces, and great little restaurants. The employees genuinely cared about the quality of our stay both in and out of the Riad and always checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our visit. Outstanding location and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Marrakesh.

Visitors should be aware that the Riad isn't directly accessible by car. Once you exit a vehicle, you must do a short walk through a spice market to reach the Riad itself. The walk is easy and not very long, but the aroma of the spice market is overwhelming when you first arrive. After your initial introduction, you quickly adjust to it and don't even notice it by day 2.

this is our second stay at Riad Azoulay. This Riad is gorgeous, well appointed, very clean and comfortable, and the upstairs terrace is a joy. Located in the Mellah near the spice market. we enjoyed dinners and hammam treatments here. all the staff are all amazingly attentive and caring. we highly recommend this Riad!

We loved our stay at Riad Azoulay. The whole staff is amazing and we felt really well taken care of. The price is higher than the usual Marrocon accomodation, but if you want a little luxury and great service you are at the right place. The building is absolutely gorgeous, especially the pool downstairs and the roof terrace. Our room (Tibet Room) was huge, had windows to the outside (not the usual in Marocco!) and you get little snacks every day. Since the owners are Italian, you find Italian art all over the place and you have the option for Italian food at night. The breakfast is huge and delicious and varies a little bit every morning. We booked the Hammam/Massage package and can definitely recommend it. The Riad is in the Jewish Quarter and it takes about 15 mins to walk to the big square. We always felt safe walking around in the neighborhood.

The Riad is right next to a Mosque, so be prepared to be woken up by the prayer call at sunrise.
