The location is at the center of tourist spots like walk of fame and few minutes away to major shopping locations like ovation.

If you are staying in the dormitory type , it can get noisy and the cars outside are kind of noisy too.

This is a great little hostel. At first I was horrified to arrive at the Walk of Fame. I didn't realise I'd booked to stay on the actual WoF. I it was noisy, dirty,loud and with weird people. Just gross. Then when you reach the hostel its like a peaceful nice haven away from all the blah in the main centre strip. The more time i stayed in the hostel the more I grew to really like it. And the Walk of Fame grew on me. The location is really good; you can catch the metro for 1.75usd then the free bus to the Hollywood Hills to hike to the HollyWood sign, or the Griffith Observatory. That's what i did. It's also literally a 4 min walk from the stop for the Big Bus hop on hop off tour as well. And ofc there's the WoF which was fun to spots the names. I got William Shatner Britney Spears and Luciano Pavorotti. The hostel dorm beds were SO comfortable I think the most comfortable hostel beds I've ever stayed in my life!! The staff are so lovely. Especially the dark haired woman. She gave me some organic spring onions and offered me more organic free food cos her friend had been to the Farmers Market and bought too much The bathrooms are spacious and spread throughout the hostel, the showers were very good, nice and hot with storage space (to bring your shampoo, soap etc, hand rails for towels, and one shower even had a small shelf unit so You can put your clothes on to change into. Very good. I liked the design of the hostel as well. It was quaint The patio was beautiful (a garden in the sun with little tables and chairs with shade),the laundry excellent and the kitchen was top👌🏼they provided free herself and spices

American hostels dont have key carded lockers, it's necessary to use a padlock. Very annoying. every hostel I've been to here has this though; it isn't unique to this hostel. I'm from Europe and we have key carded lockers so basically your key card opens electronically your locker - it's easier than messing about with a padlock incase you forget things There was a girl on the first night I arrived who it seemed had been eating chicken in the room

It's a lovely location, lovely house and garden. It's incredibly clean with nice staff.

I was on the top floor (one of the attic rooms). By mindful that you'll need to carry your luggage up a few flights of stairs. Also, the walls are VERY thin. Noise-proofing wouldn't go astray.

The location is perfect if you want to go to Hollywood bowl or Hollywood walk of fame, staff was professional and kind and I liked that dormitories are separate between female and male

Because around Hollywood walk of fame there are some homeless just be careful at night

The area is quiet, quite amazed it's just 5mins walk away from the bustling walk of fame.

Friendly people. Nice atmosphere with a bit of age and quirkiness. Having a kitchen was great and the location around the corner from the Chinese Theatre was great and it was quiet. Perfect place to go from for a concert at the Hollywood bowl.

Really liked this affordable hostel very located in Hollywood. Sweet staff, beautiful front and back yard, and nice facilities! Many bathrooms and toilets so never had an issue with needing to wait for any of that. 1 minute walk down to Hollywood Boulevard and 20 minute walk to Hollywood Bowl, which was convenient. Really calm despite the location! The staff was kind enough to borrow me a lock for the lockers!

Lockers outside of the room, which was fine but did not feel 100% safe. Sleeping in an upper bunk was a bit uncomfortable since there wasn't really a barrier that would prevent you from falling down, but that was a minor issue.

Loved the super convenient location, spacious rooms, cleanliness, and the outdoor area. Kitchen was incredibly clean for a hostel, too. Staff are friendly!

Would have loved a private room with private bathroom but the shared bathrooms beside our private room were super clean. Some of the toilets are weirdly close to the wall. Some odd characters around but maybe that's just hostels?

rooms are a bit toasty, AC doesn’t work very well but i recommend just sleeping with one blanket

Fantastic location and Pedro was so helpful! Comfy bed and pillows. A really eclectic mix of people staying which I loved, and as a 40 yr old it was nice to see people my age was well, not just a young typical hostel crowd. Overall really impressed and I’ll be back!

Large, cosy attic room with air condition and private bath, very clean and no street noise. Walking distance to Hollywood Blvd. Provided parking space at reasonable rate.

Noisy other guests in the hallways in the wee hours, but that's not the Hostel's fault.

The location was Perfect and the staff were very friendly. The property is close to the metro station.

Lovely little place, as described. Right next to the Hollywood boulevard, great location. Room was nice with old interior. Was very clean. Had a great little kitchen with free coffee, tea and cocoa!

First time staying in a hostel. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating! The place is very nice and has lots of space to store food in fridges. The spot is also in an amazing location, 2 minute walk from the Hollywood walk of fame!!

Great value for money - simple but clean and functional. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Parking has limited spaces so even though we payed for the night, when we got back in the evening there were no more spaces so we had to pay extra for the garage nearby. Not a huge issue, but just a heads up to keep in mind if you're coming with a car.

The Orange Drive is in a wonderful location, just off Hollywood Boulevard, and in a really safe area. The building was originally used as a boarding house for Hollywood legends, which was fascinating! The room that we had was so clean, with lovely soft linen. Parking for 10 dollars per day was so worth it. The positive reviews are so true! This place is amazing!

A very small niggle, was that the person checking us in, although pleasant, wasn’t particularly interested in us at all, and didn’t make us feel overly welcome or pleased to stay in this amazing place. The person checking us out however was the opposite… warm, friendly and welcoming, which would have got a 10 out of 10 overall for our stay if the service had been consistent.

Everything as expected

The location and price couldn't be better. The property is full of history and charm. The room we had was once occupied by Marilyn Monroe. The building is old. But spotless. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional.

There is really nothing we didn't like. Don't stay here if you expect new and modern. But that's what is really cool about this place.

There were so many bathrooms! It is quiet and residential, but so close to Hollywood Boulevard and the metro. Lots of hooks in room and bathroom. Good kitchen. Good linens. I saw someone cleaning baseboards and doors; every bit of the place felt clean. Even the grout on shower floors was immaculate. I loved the history of the building - an old phone system is still visible - but every inch seemed freshly painted and very well maintained. The pics make it look old, but it’s immaculate.

No big lockers for your luggage in the room. There are small lockers by the kitchen that would fit a purse. The air conditioning wasn’t very cool.

Window in bedroom didn’t have much of a shade covering so light (and sound) came in throughout night. Toilets on 2nd floor were very difficult to get at - so close to wall

The location of the property is very good. It’s extremely close to walk of fame, ovation Hollywood. Also there are many restaurants and Target, shops nearby for food n shopping. The property is also quite clean and they provide sheets towel. The washrooms are quite clean. Making it a great value.

This is more like precautions to consider. - the shared washrooms are quite small. The showers could be claustrophobic. - depending on room u get assigned, there might be TV noise in the night. So if u r light sleeper, could be difficult. - the upper bunk bed is slightly tricky to climb - they have the aircon only in nights and only when the staff seems it’s required depending on weather. Sometimes it gets hot inside the room without aircon.

The staff were really welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed that we had a shared kitchen area and plenty of spaces to eat our food, indoor and outdoor. There were also complimentary coffees/teas/hot chocolate. And plenty of fridge space to store our own food. It was a 3 minute walk to the Hollywood walk of fame and a station. It wasn’t far to go for a hike in one of the canyons. It was also close to the shops like Target and in n out.

Flat pillow, no privacy curtain. It was quite old fashioned the rooms, but the place had character. I enjoyed learning about the history of the hostel.

I have stayed here before, good value for the price, good location. The hostel is big and there are enough bathrooms available. Good kitchen too. It's clean, friendly staff, and good location (prime Hollywood spot but on a quiet street).

I stayed 2 nights in a private room and one in a dorm. The private room was nice but very noisy (outdoor street noise). The AC smelled a bit. Also, you have to ask staff to turn on / off AC, which I think is a little weird.

The rooms are very well priced, and cleaned regularly. Same goes for the bathrooms. It has everything you would need in a hostel. The location, whilst busy, is unbeatable. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. They helped me with my metro card, and let me store my bags til I needed to leave.

I can't think of anything, it would be nice to experience the private rooms next time, I'm sure they're good, too.

Very convenient; lovely oasis tucked away from the loud chaos of Hollywood Blvd. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of available restrooms.

Number of guests were rather rude and did not adhere to quiet policy.

Loved this place and would definitely stay again. Really helpful staff. Sizeable room and comfy. Location was excellent to walk to walk of fame (2 mins) and to subway.

Creaky floor boards! I toss and turn so much with back pain and kept waking up with the wheels of the bed squeaking on the floor. Bathrooms were super tiny but manageable.

The location was great, just a block away from Hollywood Boulevard and the Walk of Fame as well as a 15 minute walk to Runyon Canyon hikes. It was good to have parking on site for a reasonable fee ($10/day). The facilities were excellent - the kitchen is well-equipped and there are lots of bathrooms so you are never waiting (even if you have to walk to another floor).

We had a small attic room, which looked and seemed much smaller than the 'standard double room' photos we'd seen on Booking.com so that was a little disappointing.

10 minutes from universal studios hollywood. 1 minute to the walk of fame. $10 for parking which is great for this location. I am traveling alone with my daughter and felt safe in the hotel. Very clean! white sheets and towels. the bathroom is beautiful. We had a great rest, I recommend this hotel.

A fantastic, small hotel with a bit of an old-fashioned charm. There's guest parking available for $10, and the place is clean and pleasant. For those who appreciate hotels with character, this one should not disappoint.

The only remark is the rather early checkout time—10 AM; I think 11 AM would be more reasonable.

The location was amazing, the staff are really really nice. They offer us the parking for the second day because they were not enough space during the first day ! It’s awesome.

Nothing, everything was perfect

Excellent value. The location is just the best, super easy to get anywhere in the area! Staff was also super helpful and nice, I asked for the nearest place to buy sunscreen and she offered me to grab fron the left behind stash, super nice of them and saved it from going to the garbage. The place is simple but clean and offers all that is needed to spend a couple nights, it is a century old manor, super cool, full of corridors, and an old telephone system! Highly recommend!

The place could use some minor investments to elevate the overall experience. The towels are super dated that the rims are gone, causing it to shed a bit. We had room 17, which faces the sunrise. The sun was on my face before 6 a.m., the curtains were so thin that a paper napkin could do a better job of darkening the room. A fresh coat of paint inside and some WD40 here and there are also recommended, simple things that can come a long way.

A beautiful quiet location just steps to Hollywood Boulevade. We stayed just one night but will Definately stay again Staff were loveless welcoming and so helpful, especially Bea. Thank you!
