The location, the staff were very friendly

Nice staff, there is a paid parking lot available and good equipped common kitchen. The location is also great - 5 minutes walk to the Walk of Fame, but it's also quiet at the same time.

Great and quiet location in Hollywood. Very clean rooms and facilities. As a female traveller I felt safe here.

Someone helped themselves to the whole bottle of milk I stored in the shared fridge - very naughty and disappointing to see how low people can get. I know it's not the hostel's fault, but had to mention it here.

This was my second time staying at Orange Drive Hostel. Everybody was very nice, friendly and polite. The facilities are very clean and it's a great location. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. I really like it here and I recommend it.

It's just a really lovely place to stay. An incredible location for checking out Hollywood, paired with a really charming old building and lovely staff made for a terrific experience. The shared kitchen is clean and well stocked, and parking was slightly cramped at times but good value overall.

The location is as good as it gets. Staff was friendly. Very good bang did the buck. Parking was affordable.

Convenience, freindlyness, the historical feel of the place, price to value! Beds were comfy, and an in room shared private bathroom with a shower! Awesome! I have stayed at many hostels, and that impressed me! There are lots of spots to sit chill and even go outside to catch that L.A sunshine! 😎 Side note I was so inspired by the building I made a spooky spoof video of the inside. Just loved it! See you again soon!

The kitchen was a bit small, so when a lot of bodies are in there all at once, it makes for a bit of tight squeez cooking and cleaning. You get to know your fellow people very quickly 😅

The staff was very helpful. The location was great. The environment felt safe. The garden, locker room and lobby/front room was available all the time.

The order and the cleanliness could be arranged better to bring more value to the guests. The AC in the room was controlled by the front desk. For the luggage there wasn't enough area for 6 people, not a single table or desk or anything you could lock it. The bedding did not feel the newest or the cleanest. For a few nights it is manageable but not for a long stay like 4 nights.

Close to Dolby theaters

Another successful stay at Orange Drive! The house has history, soul and atmosphere. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The house is a bit old and worn, but that's what makes it unique. It's not just another motel like thousands of others. The location is fantastic. Hollywood Blvd is within walking distance, and the subway is just around the corner. There's on-site parking, which we used; it's an additional fee, but it's worth it.

The problem of homelessness is also visible here on the streets. However, I must emphasize that I didn't feel threatened when I went out at night. It is sad that so many people in America today do not have the means to live and a roof over their heads.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The kitchen was very handy and neat and clean. There was a lovely outdoor area where guests could eat or relax. The old house was quaint with interesting rooms. The location was easy walking distance to many attractions and the Big Bus route. Although T he room and ensuite were quite small they were perfectly adequate for us and our luggage. A larger person might find the shower a bit cramped.

Everyone was very friendly, and welcoming. The facilities were very clean. Beds are comfortable, as was the bedding, which included freshly washed sheets and a very soft comforter. I am sort of an introvert but everyone here made me feel very comfortable. It was just a great experience. The hostel is in a convenient location and I enjoyed meeting new people. I will definitely return.

Was a little anxious staying in one of these places for a night even with the reserving a private room I wasn’t sure what to expect. Staff was great and super friendly. Everything was super clean and I appreciate how quiet it was. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Check-in was easy and smooth. We had a private room on the third floor with a shared bath. They let me keep my rental car in their back parking lot for only $10/night. Room was clean with comfortable beds. Air conditioner ran well and helped keep our night quiet. We had a shared bath (a few steps away) which was clean. Other guests must have been respectful because we didn't hear any noise from the other rooms or hallway. Location was perfect for us... just a block from The Magic Castle (which was a lot of fun) and the Hollywood Walk of Fame (which was not a very interesting attraction).

Nothing. I knew this was a shared-bath hostel - and it was a clean, safe location with a very fair price in an expensive location.

only thing was it would be too hot. Wish the hostal would let the air condition run during hot days. I was really hard to get ready and have to keep going down stairs to ask to turn it on because by the time the room cooled I would already be done and have to leave.

Considering it's close proximity to Burbank airport, where it's located, the comfort aspect, excellent staff and facilities, lot's of info on whats going on in LA and area, kitchen, fridge, plant of bath/showers a great starting point for everything Hollywood, bus, train, tours, target, CVS, Starbucks, restaurants , bars/pubs, walk of fame, Griffith Park etc...

Perfect location and quiet, very affordable

I had a pleasant stay at this hostel in Hollywood. The location is excellent — very central and well connected, which made it easy to get around the city. The room was simple but clean, even though the furniture felt a bit old. What really stood out was the staff: very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Overall, a good choice if you’re looking for a budget-friendly place with a great location and warm atmosphere.

The only downside was that parking wasn’t included, and you had to pay extra for it

I loved my stay at orange drive hostel. The location is amazing, you are close to everything in Hollywood,but at the same time really quiet and beautiful building with a great garden. You forget you are in the center of Hollywood Boulevard. The staff were really nice and helpful. I rented a room with private bathroom, and I am really satisfied with my choice, for the price you cant find anything that's worth your attention.

As some reviews previously mentioned, there is a smell in the entrance reminiscent of old wood and carpet.

The whole building is well maintained, the room, bathroom is clean. Walking distance to Hollywood Bowl, the shuttle bus stopm is only steps away. The hotel staff was very helpful. Definitely stay again.

Very kind staff, in a walkable area with lots of food and shopping options nearby, close to the metro, and plentiful bathrooms/showers all over the house. I didn’t utilize the kitchen but there were many guests storing food and cooking their meals and that seemed like a really neat option.

There were a few times a toilet was stopped up with things I didn’t want to see but that was typically in the middle of the night which is frankly understandable.

The location was excellent and walking distance to Hollywood Boulevard. Made this our base to sightsee around Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Universal Studios. The hostel was very neat and clean. It has some history having been built more than 100 years. The hostel was very quiet, despite being so close to thew busy area of Hollywood Boulevard and walk of fame. We were able to store our luggage after check out in the morning for many hours while we took the Hop on Hop off day tour until we were ready to depart in the evening for the airport. The staff was very cheerful and helpful during our stay, even shared some jokes.

The property is a beautiful old house a few hundred metres from the Hollywood Walk of fame but quiet and suburban. The staff were friendly and helpful, they have laundry for an additional charge, you can use the kitchen for your meals and there is an outdoor patio to enjoy them. It was lovely and quiet.

My friend and I had a great stay at this hostel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent- close to everything I needed. We stayed for two nights and don’t regret choosing this place. It was peaceful, fairly quiet, and the neighborhood felt safe. Highly recommended! :)

I booked a private room, the room was very clean although small. I did see larger sized private rooms but no complains from me as I was staying solo did not need much space LAX airport is far from anywhere in the city, but I took a taxi to the airport because I had luggage. The hostel is very close to a metro station so public transport is great too.

Excellent value for money for LA. The shared bathroom was really clean, and the bed was comfy. The staff were also nice and it’s good that we could use the kitchen for breakfast. Definitely recommended for budget travellers to LA.

The location. Away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood Boulevard. A haven. Convenient They were very helpful and tried to find solutions for me as I initially thought would be checking in after hours. I could do my laundry as well.

Everything was great, staff were very helpful, nice room with comfy beds, toilets were clean. Showers are small but sufficient. Kitchen facilities were useful, and $6 laundry was helpful.

It's very near the subway and walkway of fame, There are also bus lines to every important spot in L.A. and walking distance of most Hollywood atractions. The staff is very helpful and took care of everything when we needed more blankets and a heater due to the surprising cold there was in LA when we visited. The front desk lady also provived some interesting stories about the building, that looks like an old house of a relative.

The pictures in the booking profile do not make justice to the hostel. We were worried about the quality, but It is way more beautiful than the pictures show, specially the front terrace with the squirrels and the trees.

I found exactly what I was looking for. The location is excellent, and the value for money is great too.

I didn’t like having to sleep on the top bunk, but I knew I wouldn’t have the option to choose, so it’s totally fine for me. I would stay there again.

The Orange Drive Hostel was a lovely place and a very peaceful. The people at the entrance and the people working there are very polite and pleasant.
