Bed & Breakfast Casa do Principe, Lisbon

The room itself was beautiful, palatial and very special and unique. The concierges were all very nice, helpful, professional and sweet. The location is amazing, at the heart of principe real, overlooking a beautiful park

The bathroom was clean but not well lit. It was quite dark in there. The light bulb above the sink’s mirror was missing, and so was one of the faucet handles. The breakfast itself was very basic. Some of the pastries offered weren’t fresh.

Not recommended for senior travelers because location was not easy to walk, hotel door and stairs difficult to use and bathroom was nearly impossible to move around in without bumping your elbows The floor to ceiling windows have no curtains for privacy, just wooden shutters that completely darken the room.

The most wonderful, kind staff at reception who really helped us when we had a delay from the company who were supposed to pick up some luggage for us. Beautiful big room with a huge bed and a leafy outlook. Big doors opening out to the balcony. Comfortable chairs to sit in. Basic but good breakfast with new pastries each day. Exceptional location with a beautiful park opposite with outdoor kiosks, a mirador only 5 mins walk and very easy to get to the centre of town.

There is construction noise at the moment on one side of the building and it meant we couldn’t leave the doors open and take advantage of the beautiful breezes. There is an aircon though if you want to use it. Overall there was plenty of variety at breakfast, good breakfast and a typical continental style so we were happy. Some cold milk at breakfast would be very appreciated for the cereal and coffee. We had to ask each day and usually it was a warm long life milk. Also, the yoghurts didn’t feel very cold and we didn’t want to risk getting sick. Leaving them in the fridge or on ice might be better.

Casa do Principe was a nice stay. You’re immersed into history, the location is fantastic, the views were beautiful and the staff was helpful.

Being that it’s in an old building there isn’t much privacy and you can hear outside of your room very easily.

Breakfast was adequate. Location was as expected. It was the primary reason we chose this hotel.

Location is GREAT! The staff was very kind and easy to communicate with. Safe property and quiet at night even though it's by lots of places people spend time.

The room itself was very cramped and the bathroom was basically open in the middle of the room. If staying more than 1 night it would have been more frustrating.

The hotel needs general maintenance, paint and fabrics need a new air.

The location was ideal - so close to the main attractions and excellent restaurants. The place was clean and quite good value. It had interesting period features.

Though charming, there were a couple of quirks- the sink was awkward , it would leak all over the surface when used. And the toilet was in a little box within the room and the door didn't close securely so there wasn't much privacy when using the bathroom. It didn't have the best ventilation.

The location was perfect, in a cool area of Lisbon with boutiques, restaurants on doorstep.

The hotel was amazing but would need painted ro freshen up, bed clothes had stain on then but I appreciated the 19th century building

I like the history about the hotel. Also, there was an arboretum behind the hotel and a spacious, quiet restaurant (rare in Lisbon!). Ask hotel staff how to get to these city gems because it is kind of complicated.

Our room was right on a city street. Bring ear plugs if you can't get a guaranteed room on the park side of the building.

Location, helpful staff, breakfast. Antonio went out of his way to help us with directions, restaurant recommendations and assistance with bus tickets.

Stairwell leading to 1st floor lacked adequate lighting. But there is a life in need

Lovely little boutique hotel in our favourite part of Lisbon. Lots going on locally but our room overlooked the botanic garden and was nice and quiet. Luckily there is a lift to the first floor entrance to the hotel. The staff were helpful in booking us a taxi to the airport.

The room was nice and nicely spaced out, good air conditioning facilities. It’s a beautiful building.

Breakfast option could have been expanded than the same.

Perfect location! Close to everything but not in the middle of noisy & messy centre.

Breakfast is rather poor :( Coffee is not drinkable. I didn’t get a chance to have iron and ironing board, seemed there is only one available and was always occupied by someone else.

The b&b is ideally located in a very popular road with loads of options for food and drink. The room was comfortable enough with a nice view of the park. Breakfast was nice!

Noise insulation was poor, we could hear the conversations happening in the next door room.

The staff was super friendly and helpful and even gave suggestions on place to grab a bite and drinks. I loved the architecture in the room with chandelier and crown molding. Loved the location and ease of exploring other neighborhoods in Lisbon on foot.

The pillows weren't great (a bit hard and/or firm with no other options available), and I had a hard time sleeping and woke up with a stiff neck. I did request a firm bed but didn't expect the pillows to also be. I usually bring my own pillow but wasn't able to this trip. So, I can only blame myself on that. 😕

Breakfast was good, however if they should consider serving omelet, Staff was attentive and quick to respond for an early breakfast.

Check-in fee for a late check-in after 900 PM. 20 Euros were charged which I find is not acceptable. In the hospitality business you one cannot rely on airline timings. Airlines routinely cancel flights and rebook. We were supposed to come at 5 PM but ended up at 10 PM.

Old world elegant, I felt like a princess. The room was beautiful with a sitting area and the view looked out onto the park. Nice breakfast.

No complaints

The staff is professional and very friendly. We had a smaller room, but with few to the backyard which makes the room quiet and silent to sleep. The breakfast has a big selection and was very good. The location is in one of the beautifulst districts of Lissabon. A little bit up in the city, but there are restaurants and parks close by . You can walk down the street to the old town and pass by a famous fewpoint. Vis a vis is a beautiful park where you can sit, eat and have a coffee or drink after exploring the city.

The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating. The kitchen staff was amazing. Delicious breakfast and so kind to have our breakfast early so we could catch our early flight!

We stayed in the beach room and our suggestion is to change the shower head from the narrow cylinder to a standard round one.

The self serve breakfast in the morning was delicious and simple. The staff were all incredible and so helpful. Antonio helped us on our check in and was so warm and welcoming. He gave us great food and walking recommendations and even gave us tips on where to go in other parts of Portugal. It is in the heart of the city but still quiet enough at night to sleep.

I wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Breakfast was adequate though not great (for instance, pastries were low quality and not fresh). Kleenex Tissues could be supplied in the room.

The staff was helpful with suggestions. The location was really nice across from a park and lots of good food and walking nearby. The room was quiet, good AC and the bed was comfortable.

The small room was really small and the bathroom is not super private, so best for an intimate couple or single. If I returned I would select a bigger room. The breakfast ran out a little early so be sure to go early. There isn't much public space outside of the room or dining room, so best for a traveler that is not at the hotel much, easy to do with a park across the street when the weather is good!

Location is very good. Breakfast was good. Check in and check out were concise and efficient. I liked the accommodation and would certainly book here again.
