Hyatt Centric San Isidro, Lima

Lighting was very poor.. especially by the coffee station. So I couldn’t figure out the coffee machine.. Went downstairs thinking you would have free coffee for guests.. but no was charged quite a bit . No free breakfast for a room that was $180.

They have charge me an extra fee in dollars and they haven’t reimburse me yet!!!

Can hear all the other guest room doors opening and closing, which can be quite noisy and irritating. The quilt cover is open type, leaving the quilt exposed right where your chin is when you are in bed. Despite the price no amenities like toothbrush. Only one staff attending check out on a Sunday noon (despite checking out online I still need to wait for a staff to take my room keys).

The room was spacious and soundproof, and the bed was comfortable. It is in a very good location in San Isidro, but it is an area of offices and private residences, so not much options of eating out around in the evening, at least by walking distance.

There was no main light on the room ceiling, we had to rely on the lamps, so the overall light mood is dim. Also, we had an issue with the reception: we used a card for the guarantee but wanted to pay with another one. The reception told us they would have to make a "symbolic charge to validate" the first card before cancelling (first time in my life that a hotel has asked me) but we didn't want to make any charge because of expensive bank fees for overseas operations. A reception manager appeared and tried to solve the issue, but she was aggressive in her way of communicating. In the end, they had to request the cancellation of the guarantee via phone with the card provider. This whole charade cost us a solid 30-minutes and almost made us lose our transportation.

Hospitality's fine art, in every detail shown, In Hyatt's embrace I lay, as if in home my own. From lofty heights, the city's heart in twilight's golden glow, A tapestry of lights and life, a vibrant, pulsing show. Here memories are woven, in threads of joy and ease, A traveler's haven, calm and bright, designed to charm and please. So, to the Hyatt Centric's doors, should fate my steps direct, With gratitude, I'll enter in, respect and fond regard elect. For in its walls, I found much more than just a place to stay, A chapter in my journey's book, a light along the way.

In the gym with treadmills lined, a runner's dream unfolds, Yet for chest and shoulders' gain, equipment sparse it holds. Paths for feet in steady stride, in abundance they do rest, Strength of upper frame, alas, finds lesser tools at best.

We liked very much the whole hotel environment, the service and the food. The breakfast was delicious and the bar at the rooftop had also good drinks, snacks and great music.

Hotel is in a nice quiet location. Comfy bed not too soft with pillows friendly for back sleepers. Breakfast is fantastic.

Night lights under the bed that are supposed to automatically turn on with movement turn on/off randomly illuminating the room in the middle of the night.

Modern and stylish hotel in the center of San Isidro. The room was spacious (Deluxe King), the bed super comfortable and everything very clean. Rooftop bar is a must and you cannot visit the hotel without going for a drink at Celeste solar bar. The breakfast/brunch is the best we had so far in a hotel! Besides, various restaurants and cafes are located in walking distance.
