Staff speaks poor English Breakfast very good but expensive Dinner menu with limited options

Perfect atmosphere, great staff and cozy rooms!

Being granted the privilege to stay and sleep within a piece of history. The decor is wonderful and the amenities are also nice.

The pool was cold

Location is safe excellent and calm compared to other parts of Istanbul and within walking distance of a metro which connects easily to airport with one interchange. Attractions of Istiklal street and Galata Tower all within a 10 to 15 minute walking distance. Hotel is in an upmarket district of Istanbul with good restaurants and cafes nearby. Pera Palace hotel itself is a beautiful historical hotel with service to match. The whole area of Pera is truly charismatic with its vistas and hills and beautiful old buildings reflecting its old world charm.

Very little hotel is beautiful. Breakfast option is pricey but given calibre of hotel understandable but plenty of external options in the area where you can experience kahvalti ( Turkish breakfast spreads)

Room was charming, staff were courteous. Atmosphere overall great. Nice little birthday cake delivered for free - much appreciated.

Breakfast was mediocre. Cocktails in the bar had minimal alcohol. The swimming pool was said to be closed then when I asked again on the last day I was told - oh no it is open. surly and poor staffing at the pool spa

The bed is too soft. When we arrived there was a leak in the bathroom. It was fixed quickly next day. But still there was a specific unpleasant smell in the bathroom.

It’s very historical place to stay .Comfortable and good atmosphere.

Location and entrance I would not like it .🚩it’s so narrow basically no space

The font desk and bellmen were extremely helpful when I arrived. I enjoyed the ride to my room in the oldest elevator in Istanbul with the bellman and was brought up to a beautiful & large 19th century room overlooking the city with a balcony. The bed and bedding was extremely comfortable, and I enjoyed the deep antique soaker tub along with the shower in the bathroom.

The tap on the bathtub needs to be fixed as it was difficult to turn the hot water nob and took alot of strength to turn it on.

The most beautifully appointed, turn of the C20 building, renovated to its original state quite recently.

The word exceptional was created for the Pera palace. Being there went beyond staying in a high-class place. As you enter, history envelops and transports you to an era of relaxation and of opulence while making you feel part of a warm and nostalgic family. It is a totally rare experience that will stay with this writer. Every part felt so unique and nostalgic. From taking the ancient elevator on the first trip to one's room, visiting the suites of Agatha Christie's, Alfred Hitchcock, Mustafa Ataturk and staying in Ernest hemingway's suite. The dining experience, along with time in the Orient Express bar, are must-dos. Their breakfasts were extremely good. Above all, I feel that every single staff member deserves high praise for their genuine desire to be there for their visitors. A true feeling of being totally welcome.

Attention to detail and museum like experience! Spotlessly clean and excellent service from everyone! Breakfast was wonderful and that "midnight at the para palace" cocktail one of the best I have had!

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous decor, old world style meets new comfort. Lobby, spa, pool all lovely, great Hamam experience.

Rude, 20 yo bartender (he told us his age), didnt know how to make several popular drinks, including a martini. We observed several guests complain about their drinks. Expected much more from a hotel of this caliber. Training!? !

This was a unique experience the hotel is like a museum takes you back to the Orient Express times. Room was spacious and comfortable view was magnificent and service was excellent. Hope to visit again.

Great location a few minutes of walk from Istiklal street. Lots of great restaurants nearby, including with a Michelin star. Great view from window. The experience of being in such a legendary place is exceptional.

Breakfast was not so great, and i didn't like that water in the room was in a cheap plastic bottle, and we had to constantly ask for refill.

I love the ambience, history and gorgeous decor of this hotel and have stayed here before. Concierge are extremely helpful and friendly, it is well placed within the city and I always feel special when I walk in the door of the Pera Palace!

We were initially given a room with the view of a wall and the room smelled of cigarettes. Luckily the front desk were able to give us another room with a much better view and no smells, even though the hotel was almost full.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location

Free standing bath was awkward to use as a shower . The view was somewhat diminished by the cranes on nearby construction sites

Wonderful room with great shower. Loved evening drinks in Orient Bar with good cocktails. Visited the Atatürk Museum Room and rode the historic elevator. Wonderful atmosphere. Great central location for Galata and Istiklal walking.

Pillows were too thick and hurt my neck to sleep on.

Room was amazing with great views. All staff very friendly and breakfast a very good start to the day with a good selection of whatever you might enjoy

Lighting, but understand the ambience

Beautiful grand hotel in terrific location. The history regarding this hotel makes it a very special place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely areas to sit and have a drink and eat. The pool is lovely for a swim.

Wi-fi can be a bit hit and miss and a better selection of options on the television would be good. For example being able to access movies.

It was exceptional and absolute pleasure to stay at Pera Palace. It is not only a hotel, it is also a greatly designed museum. Can’t recomment enough!

I liked the luxurious experience overall. Very nice and tasty breakfast. Room was quite spacious with high-end amenities. Service was good. The hotel is well-staffed, and everyone was polite and helpful. It’s nice to spend one night and walk around the hotel to see some older artifacts.

Room was very hot and dry. I called twice about the problem, and the reception told me that they checked. However, the room still felt too warm even after I set the AC at 12 degrees Celsius. The room card readers are old and not sensitive enough. We struggled every time we enter the elevator or to open the room door.
