Hostel Cheers Lighthouse, Istanbul

Fantastic location it was less than 10 minutes from the blue mosque so central. Loved the view out over the sea. Food and drink there was fab and the vibe of the place so friendly and chilled. I stayed from the 15th to the 19th September after a 9 day trip in Jordan, perfect place to use as a base to explore the city and family couldn't do enough to help me everyone so friendly!!

The hostel is located in a beautiful area of Istanbul, all the sights are within walking distance. The staff is very friendly. I want to say thank you to Yuna, she was very attentive to all my requests, helped me a lot on many issues. The bar offers a beautiful view of the sea. The bar is staffed by very caring Linda and Feyza. The breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the Bosphorus were delicious.

The location and staff were amazing! The room wasn't the cleanest (needed a vacuum), and a bit small, but you can't beat the location. It's super close to the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, and a popular street with tons of restaurants (although with inflated prices because it's a tourist hotspot). We also walked to the Grand Bazaar from Cheers Lighthouse, which took us 20 minutes. The street was also so beautiful and relatively quiet, and you have an awesome view of the water from the restaurant/bar patio.

The staff, Yuna, Linda & Feyza, were lovely & super friendly. They allowed me to wait my coach at the hostel’s lounge in the evening - which was super helpful! Location is great also, and the room was very clean.

Nothing really. Just one note: the breakfast is included, it’s be lovely to have maybe an option for vegan which is not just bread & jam or fruit.

The staff Ms Feyza, Linda, Atilla were excellent. When I forgot my room key, Mr Atilla arranged a new one- very helpful person. Ms Feyza took care of me and asked about anything I needed. Help was always there. The location was excellent- walking distance to the Sophia Hagia and historical attentions. Breakfast in in the morning with sea view - waw This is amazing place for solo young travelers.

Everything was good

1 room was 2 beds, very comfortable. The 2nd room was huge with 2 bedrooms, 4 beds, a jetted tub and sauna. Good view and location to attractions.

Staff in Cheers Lighthouse is absulutly amazing and nice. All of Staff members are really kind and helpfull, they even organize and attend on group activiteies like Beerpong, 10/10. Bar prices are solid as well. Location is perfect

Door in the room should be checked, It's a bit too loud when closing. Should be an easy fix but would increase the confort a lot

Hosted were so kind, creating a good environment to spend time enjoying and knowing each others. Good food and drinks.

Breakfast was good. Location is the best due to its proximity to the attractions. They literally all on a walking distance. I loved the sea view my main reason for staying at this property.

Building turned out to be bit old than expected. The staff could be more courteous and patient especially guests with families need little extra help or requests. Overall, it was ok. If I had the chance I could have stayed somewhere else.

I like the location

The bathroom was very small but it is fine.

Booked the location for the vibe it had and was not disappointed. Met a lot of new people, and had a comfortable stay. Staff were friendly.

Unfortunately one of my friends’ doors was broken, but they rectified it by moving her to another room so it was all good.

Breakfast options can be a little better but the location and service feom the staff is really good. Very helpful staff.

Drinking water facility can be the only thing that needs to be part of the hostel offer.

We were sad to is breakfast due to our flight time. The location was easy to find and staff were friendly.

Location is superb for those who like to stay in the old city. Major spots are just 2-3 minutes walk from the hostel. Hostel offers decent breakfast. Personnel is helpful.

Minor problem with locker in the room, but got it sorted out by taking my luggage to the reception desk.

Close to sightseeing spots

The location is quite near the main attractions of Istanbul. There is a free parking place, reserved for the hotel. The view from the terrace of the restaurant is wonderful and the staff is helpful and with sense of humor.

There is no place to hang your towels in the bathroom and some renovation of the room would be nice.

The property was clean and the facilities were good. The staff was very good and helpful. Especially Jack, who guided me thoroughly about how to enjoy the beautiful city. Serdar, Key and Elif were also very sweet and helpful.

All the staff members are naturally friendly and helpful enough to make it feel like home/family.. They're so friendly that the staff and the hostel guests call each other by their names.. The location was way above my expectations and if I could I would have extended my stay..

The staff were really great and helpful. It is good location, walkable from sultanamet and hagia mosque. Breakfast was simple and good enough. Amazing view from my room. Tram station is also walkable. Access to all main areas.

Bathroom could have been little more spacious, but it is not a big negative. Overall very good stay and would love to visit again if at all I travel to IST again.

Very good costumer service, especially Kadir make a different, excellent and always very helpfull.

This is a great place to stay to meet other travellers and the staff are all super friendly and helpful. Special mention to Max who was a great guy! The bar had a great view of the city/coastline. The location was good with shops and restaurants near by and I'll definitely be returning at some point.

Serdar and Jack, and the staff in general, were amazing to us. Very kind, friendly and ready to help. The Location is perfect, breakfast is delicious and i will remember the birds singing in the morning.

The bath is little and there is only one blanket for two. But is very good in general.
