Casa Di Bava, Istanbul

Having stayed in numerous hotels and apartments in Istanbul during my frequent travels, I can confidently say that this apartment is one of the best I've stayed in! It is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable visit. The location is fantastic, just a few steps away from Istiklal Street and an 8-10 minute walk from Galataport (a modern waterfront development near Karaköy). You'll also find plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes nearby. Public transport access is convenient as well. The customer service was exceptional, particularly from a gentleman named Tammam, who responded to our queries promptly and efficiently. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment and will undoubtedly return in the future!☺️

The only area that could benefit from some improvement is the shower's water temperature adjustment, which tended to fluctuate between being too hot and too cold. However, this minor issue did not impact our overall stay.😊

We have been extremely well welcomed and supported during our trip by Tammam! The location is very central and in a perfect area to discover the many neighborhoods of Istanbul. If you choose to rent in the last floor, the noise from the surrounding bars is not that annoying.

Just two tiny things to adjust : the water pressure in the shower could be increased, and the curtains are not occultant enough for the sun in the morning.

This is our third time in the hotel, and I like it a lot. I everything from the rooms to good location in terms of exploring Istanbul. Really best deal. The personnel is extremely nice and always helpful.

It is NOT the problem of the hotel, however, to everyone who wants to have a proper sleep and rest - just forget about it!!! The noise in the street is insane!!!! So bad! Several clubs and bars are located just near the corner, and they are partying hard all night long. This is just horrible for people living their normal lives around.

We had a fantastic stay at this flat in Istanbul! The apartment was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay—fresh towels, a hairdryer, an iron, a hold, and even a sponge for the kitchen. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the city, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. One small thing that could be improved is the addition of a kitchen towel to dry glasses, but this wasn’t a big issue for us. There’s a small dishwasher available, though we didn’t use it as we mostly ate out. Overall, a great experience—we’d definitely stay here again!

We booked two apartments, and our experience was fantastic. The apartments were clean, warm, and exactly as described on the website, which is something I truly appreciate, as not all places live up to their photos. Comfort & Facilities: The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, which is very important to me. The beds were also a great size. When we visited, it was cold and snowing, but the rooms were warm and cozy—perfect for winter stays. The water pressure and temperature were good. The building smelled amazing, adding to the overall pleasant experience. A lift is available, which is a great convenience. Location & Noise: The apartments were not facing the main street, so the noise was manageable. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of many cool places and shops. Service & Hospitality: The manager, Tammam, was incredibly helpful, and the staff were professional, kind, and always smiling—something I truly value. Their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. Honestly, if you’re looking for a stress-free stay in an amazing location, this is the place to be! I will definitely stay here again.

Fully equipped with all my needs for a two weeks stay. Stylishly furnished. Washer/dryer. 5 mins walk from Istiklal St.

TV only had one English speaking channel and that was obscure sports, (downhill skateboarding championship!) Very noisy at the weekends until 3/4am as nightclub opposite apartments.

This is literally the best accommodation in the neighborhood: very good location, close to the harbour, tram station, Galata port, Taksim and Galata tower. All of it can be accessible by foot which matters when you walk a lot on your holiday. The apartment itself is spacious, nicely decorated, fresh and clean. You can cook here as well if you wish. Tammam from the reception is always friendly and eager to help. Many thanks for that So do not hesitate and book Be mate casa de Bava - you Absolutely won’t regret you choice

Good place, wonderful apartment, terrace is fantastic- all were ok. Close to all kind of famous places, streets, shops and restaurants.

We were really pleased with our stay at the Be Mate Casa Di Bava as it is a very nice apartment, modern and with all the facilities needed. It is ideally situated for visiting the many sights in Istanbul as it is near Taksim Square and Istiklal Street. The views from the Penthouse were excellent as you could see all uninterrupted sights such as a Galata tower and various light-up mosques. A special thanks to Tammam who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and helped us with all the requests.

Everything was fine, check-in was easy, hosts were very friendly and attentive. The general atmosphere is cozy and location is great!

Internet connection was a bit slow and shower was tricky, sometimes there was almost no water but probably that's the problem of the city not the building.

located in one of the nicest neighborhoods of Taksim, close to istiklal street, fish market where you can find many places to hang out, close to Kabataş tram which you can use to reach old city and museums and close to Firuzaga/Cihangir for restaurants/cafes.

Shower hot/cold water adjustment and pressure could be better but not a big problem for this place.

The property was very good! Well furnished, clean and spacious. The terrace is just beautiful, with a great view above all surrounding buildings ❤️. The communication with the host was perfect.

Our complaints is not about the property, but for surrounding area. It is located on a small, but very busy street. It is very noisy during the night - car horns, loud music from the nearby meeting points. You can barely sleep. This is the only downside of the apartment.

The room was excellent - spacious and clean with everything we needed, and a little balcony. The host was very kind and attentive, doing everything he could to help us. The location is mostly nice as it is in a central area that has a mix of tourists and locals, with lots of good cafés and shops. Though it is a steep climb, it is close to the Tophane tram station, which provides easy access to both the sights of Sultanahmet and ferries from Kabataş.

Everything about this hotel was great except the noise. The hotel is on a very busy street that also happens to be right by the center of nightlife for İstanbul teenagers. Every night the area right outside the windows is full of people partying and cars driving by blasting music. It is especially bad on weekends, but even during the week there is noise well into the early morning. While everything else about the hotel was great, if you are a light sleeper or looking for more calm at night, you should probably look for something in a different area.

This apartment exceeded all my expectations! Impeccably clean, stylishly decorated, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail in the design reflects a sense of taste and care. The management team is professional, attentive, and genuinely kind, always ready to help with any request. I felt truly at home here.

Very nice stuff. Tamman is really helpful and reacts on WhatsApp promptly! The cleaning man did every day a good job! A “thank you!” to both of you: to Tamman and to the man who cleaned 6 days our apartment!! Location of the property is great; not to stay on the Golden Horn side in the middle of a lively neighbourhood was great.

This is my go to hotel in Istanbul, I love the full kitchen, washing machine and view from the balcony. Great staff, comfy beds too.

The car pick up service from the airport to the hotel was late by 45min and made us go up and down the elevator, walk, then wait.

Spacious, well- maintained apartments with its central location in a vibrant and cozy neighborhood. We enjoyed city views, high ceiling, comfy beds, attentive staff that makes sure your stay meets your expectations.

The building manager was incredible helpful to us. We switched rooms when we realized our booking was too small, and he was incredibly accommodating. He even helped us get our bag back after we had left it there post-check out! I would absolutely stay here again.

Each morning, he offered freshly brewed coffee and engaged in friendly conversation, providing valuable directions and tips for navigating the city as a first-time visitor. His warmth and attentiveness made my stay feel like a home away from home. The room also had a wonderful kitchenette that made the experience even better by inviting friends over for dinner and enjoying the city's delicious leftovers together.

Overall, my experience at the hotel was enjoyable, save for a minor hiccup with the Wi-Fi connection. Although it didn't match the reliability of my home router, Manager Tammam's assistance in connecting my laptop made a significant difference. His support was greatly appreciated.

What an incredibly warm and welcoming staff who go of their way to assist. The location couple with the ambience of this hotel make it an excellent choice in Istanbul.

We stayed at the penthouse which is on the 5th floor. The elevator takes you up to 4th floor and then you need to take the stairs. I was traveling with my old mom and was a bit worried about this situation but things went well. The Istiklal street is 5 minutes away by walk and the slope is not bad at all. The location of this apartment is exceptional with all the cafes/restaurant and Istiklal/Taksim being few minutes away from you. The host was great and responsive all the time. I've had the best time staying in this apartment and would definitely go back again!

Everything was excellent

We stayed several times in this hotel over the past years and we find this a very comfortable place to stay in this part of Istanbul. The apartment has all facilities needed to provide for independent living (washing, cooking, working). Daily cleaning makes this hotel combine the best of apartment-hotel living.

The area can be noisy during the night, which if you prefer to sleep with open windows might keep lighter sleepers awake at night.

It's a bit confusing if you choose apartment with oven or no. Maybe more more regular check on curtains for cleanliness and one of the doors in the kitchen area was not closing fully. Just small details and nice to have.
