We loved our stay, and will definitely be back. I will book directly through the resort next time to get the room I I re

Excellent location, it was quiet and felt very private and secluded. Gorgeous views all around.

The “Mountain view” room wasn’t really a view of anything until we left the room, not at all what I was expecting. Unit 28, all you can see out of any windows is other units.

Nice place but the neighbours were disrespectful & took away from the serine atmosphere of this beautiful place 😕

Beautiful views from the balcony. Nice & hot spa & a large room with comfy beds.

Very noisy neighbours making a lot of noise very early & waking us up every morning that we were there! Speaking very loudly, running up & down stairs which were close to our room. We could hear them above us & through the wall!

Very nice and beautiful spot to stay out away from Honolulu. Would probably stay there again.

Paradise Bay Resort was hidden in what appears to be a residential area. The place is beautiful! Pool, jacuzzi, kayaks, lawn chairs out on river/bay and very lush Hawaiian gardens. The staff is great and very helpful. The WIFI works great and they have a nice 'club house/lobby' to sit in and relax. I also like that they are right off of the 83 which puts you right next the the Valley of Temple, 10 minutes away from Kualoa Ranch, and 30 minutes for the Polynesian Cultural center. Lots of local places to eat near by and Safeway is 4 miles south of the resort and there are lots of beaches near by.

The room was very small, smaller than expected but it was functional since we were only there to sleep and then go. It would be nice if they had a small table in the room instead of a coffee table and they could use some better chairs to go with the table . We cooked breakfast on the hot plate and a table would have been great for eating and to set up my laptop to check work emails etc. We ate out on the porch most of the time. There is one AC unit in the bedroom and a ceiling fan in the front room. The AC window unit was noisy - which most of them are. We used white noise boxes to cut out most of the noise.

Try this resort if you want to escape Waikiki and explore the East and North coasts.

We ended up with a room that was not near the water as we had hoped for, but was up high and was even better! We had fantastic views of the water and the mountains beyond. The whole resort is an older style that has had work done on it to make it very usable. It is in basically a residential area and the staff were helpful with various requests we had. Its location was great for us exploring the north and east coasts prior to our stay in Waikiki.

This resort is a long way from anywhere but that can be part of its charm. A car is essential to access it and to even go out to a restaurant, yet $15US plus tax is charged each day for car parking! If this was just included in the fees, it would not be such an issue. On check in, I was told that coffee, fruit and banana bread would be available early in the morning. That sounded great, but irrespective of what time I rocked up in the morning, all that was left was the coffee and a couple of bits of fruit. Probably not worth mentioning really. The information on the Booking.com site says "An Aloha Nights Buffet Dinner is offered on Monday and Wednesday. Other activities include Pau Hana Friday's Dinner & Fireknife Show." These didn't happen, so they shouldn't be on that website.

The rest of the staff was excellent (except for the guy that checked our room) but the room is uncomfortable due to mold

We really like the location.

There was a musty smell in our room that didn’t go away. It smells like black mold. When we reported it, the maintenance guy said that he didn’t smell anything. (He must have gotten used to the smell I guess) We saw black mold inside the AC vent. There were also water damage at the bottom of the kitchen cabinet.I had an allergic reaction to the mold but we had no choice but to stay since there’s no other available hotels in the area that week. We didn’t turn the AC on at all to avoid the spread of mold spores. We kept our windows and doors open. 5 days that we had to deal with that. Also the pictures in your website is outdated.

Unique

The staff was great. Very friendly and accommodating, even upgrading to a room with a view of the bay. Enjoyed the kayaks and sitting on the dock in the evening.

Facility could use better lighting. Parking was challenging for the high cost. It should not cost to park.

We will be going back and requesting the same room.

The overall facilities were very nice. The view from our balcony was amazing. Every morning, we would awaken, make coffee, walk out onto our deck, and watch the morning rise over the mountains while listening to the roosters crowing and the birds singing. We filmed most mornings to capture the feeling and take it home. The staff are amazing, kind and very helpful. We had a medical emergency, and they were extremely helpful.

Our room was clean and comfortable but not as pictured. The bathroom was totally functional, but aesthetically, it could use an upgrade. A small disappointment in a lovely setting.

If we had had the room with the balcony view I don't think anything could have bothered me.

Staff was lovely and helpful. Banana bread each morning was yummy. Enjoyed lounging on floating docks and walking down to the beach where a sea turtle was hanging out every day of our stay! The boat ride for snorkeling was amazing!

Thought I had booked a room with a balcony but, apparently I did not. They did upgrade us, which was nice but room needed updating, cleaning, and more comfortable furniture so it didn't really feel like an upgrade. Roosters walk us up every morning, which I enjoyed but my daughter did not. Key to room was hard to get door open but staff member showed us a trick to make it work.

I will not stay here again.

Great staff. When our room on the first night was unacceptable, they upgraded us and gave us 2 nights without the resort fee. There was also a wonderful evening entertainer. This could be a great little place but furniture was cheap outdoor furniture and few places to put things. You definitely need a car as nothing is close by.

No one warned us that this is the wet and windy side of the island. Although we paid a resort fee, the hot tub was not hot, fees were charged for the few kayaks and one paddle board and we were charged for parking too.

Beautiful place to stay

The resort was in a lovely spot with a nice view of the Kahalu'u Pond. It's in a quiet neighbored hood off the beaten path. The rooms where spacious with very comfortable beds and all you need to cook your own meals. Bathroom was absolutely beautiful. I also appreciated all the Wonderfull windows and heavy curtains to close at night. There were several sliding glass doors so you could open them all up and really enjoy the fabulous weather. When we where able to sit on the deck of the room it was absolutely fantastic. Best morning place for a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

The living room furniture and deck furniture were not too comfortable. We were having a really great experience until new guest arrived at the unit right across from us. They were extremely loud, rude and disrespectful. To the point we were not able to enjoy the wonderful view from our deck or really open all the curtains and doors. Due to the closest of the decks and the fact that the resort has no control of rude people that do create an ugly experience I wouldn't come back. While there's a quite of bit of parking it was a bit of a nightmare because again 'people' just don't have any consideration for others and take up extra spaces or park crooked so you can't use a space... etc.

We are used to staying in condos that have more amenities such as beach, chairs, condiments, a real stove, beachfront pr

The view. The pool.

No beach, no good nearby restaurants, room was not as nice as expected, especially for the price, thin walls, could see lights from occupants adjoining door, and hear some conversations. Furniture was uncomfortable( except bed).

Overall, we loved the place and would stay again. Mostly would just love for the shower situation to improve.

The views from the waterfront cottage and the grounds of the entire resort were spectacular. The pool area was great as well. Rooms were comfortable. Staff was friendly.

Couch inside was very uncomfortable. Cushions wouldn’t stay on it. No dresser to put clothes in so they were everywhere. Could also use more hooks to hang things on to dry (towels, robes, swimsuits) The ceiling fan light over the bed would randomly turn on in the middle of the night. Not impressed by that. The biggest complaint we had…the shower. You didn’t get more than 4-5 min into a shower before you lost hot water. Temperature control on it was terrible. Sound proofing between units also could be improved.

Nice location east of Honolulu with kayaks and pool, staff are wonderful, pick a room with Lanai away from road

there really is no way to get to this place without a car, so parking should not be an added expense

Relaxing waterside retreat

The views were lovely, the room was very comfortable and our patio was great. We chilled out here at the end of our trip to Hawaii, just before leaving, and it was a scenic spot to do so.

I was disappointed to find out that the restaurant/bar was closed and that there were no buffet/evening events anymore - the resort was very upfront about this but it was such a shame. As the resort is in a residential area, it would be so much better if there were food and drink facilities available there. Hopefully, it will start up again soon!

Easy going, relaxing place to stay. We enjoyed the yoga class and the kayaks.

Loved our view, was a bit sad there wasn't any food options provided so had to travel to get food. Location is nice and quiet. Rooms were just what we needed

Unfortunately we found a cockroach in our bathroom - but we dealt with it ourselves and only saw the one.

Quiet, comfortable. Nice view of water from cottage 29. No bugs in or out.

The only thing was it was a little short on horizonal surfaces. Maybe remove sliding doors on closet so thT you utilized entire space. Just a thought.

Beautiful property, gorgeous views, nice pool

Beautiful property, kayaking out into the bay with the epic mountains was a highlight. View of the same mountains from the breakfast /check in area.

Rooms were good, some of the cabinetry a bit worse for the wear. Food options in the immediate area are more limited without going to Kailua. Breakfast was just some banana bread and coffee so stocking up on some more breakfast foods would be a good idea.

good stay and comfortable . good location for the windward side of the island. no night life.

I like the aloha of the workers there and the location is next to Kaneohe Bay. The room was spacious and private. It had good wifi and tv. Kitchen was very useable.

Prices in Hawaii are getting higher and probably this is a fair price in comparison. but Hawaii is starting to exceed my budget for travel?

Loved how quiet it was

It’s a long ways away from everything, the water was green blue and didn’t smell good. When requested to clean room they didn’t come, got them to come next day, but they must not have changed sheets, just made bed because sheets were dirty

Loved the location and the view was amazing.

The location is serene and the antithesis of busy Waikiki. The staff are delightful and super helpful.

The resort doesn’t offer any meals or drinks. It’s totally self-service, which wasn’t fantastic value for money. We asked for our room to be serviced (we were there for seven nights) but it didn’t happen. The room was getting a tad grimy by the end of our stay, and a change of bed linen would have been appreciated.

Lovely rural hotel overlooking the mountains, very peaceful and relaxing

The location is beautiful, with a very relaxed atmosphere The staff are informative and very helpful

When we arrived we were given a room which although large had no open windows or view We asked to be moved and we’re given a studio room, which although much smaller felt larger due to numerous large windows and a small balcony Sometimes larger isn’t always better

Worth a visit in paradise

The resort is truly located in paradise. The bay is absolutely pictoresque. Kayaks are for free and a good way to reach the sandbar. Staff was very friendly and did a great job to accommodate our preferences. Pool and jacuzzy were also great and open until late. Definitely worth a visit.

There is quite a range of rooms in terms of their views and position within the resort. It takes a bit of luck to get a room with a nice bay view.

Couple's Retreat

The srunning views, the friendly, kind reception staff, that were happy to help with our queries and complaints were settled extremely well. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends

The steep driveway, the interconnecting rooms, the noisy neighbors at 5.30 am with loud tv, and an aircon unit right outside the bedroom window going all night. Some cupboards and doors hadn't been wiped down properly in bathroom.

Beautiful location and views.

Beautiful location, with a spectacular view of the bay and mountains. The gardens were lush and the access to Kayaks and paddle boards made it easy to paddle straight out to the bay, which was beautiful. On arrival the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. After spending a few days in Waikiki Beach, it was very refreshing being away from the hustle bustle and experiencing the more traditional Hawaii.

On arrival we were advised that the restaurant was permanently closed, which was disappointing as there were no other restaurants close by. I think the website could communicate this better. There were no numbered/allocated parking bays, which made it difficult when we arrived back late after being out, and then trying to park our very large rental car in a space that was not actually a parking bay. The air conditioning external units were noisy and not conducive to relaxing on the balcony. Wasn't aware that the room was not serviced daily, but we did have enough towels for the stay. It was difficult to spend time relaxing on the sun lounges by the pool and gardens, as there wasn't any shade cover and it was very hot. Overall enjoyed our stay, but it felt like when we arrived, the facilities were not as expected.

Free kayaks which saves a lot if you wanna go to the sandbar. Beautiful location. Free yoga. One of the only hotels up this coast so great location to go to Kualoa ranch.

It was a very relaxing stay with mesmerizing views. Food options on the site would be great.

The view and the location is amazing. I use to love spending time on floating docks. The room was good too.

Our room didn't have A.C remote control ,duet/blankets and cushions on the patio. Blanket was provided after we let the staff know. I feel the parking fee can be avoided as it's in remote location and people would obviously come with a car especially when there is no food option on the site.

GREAT LOCATION, VERY FRIENDLY STAFF, COMFORTABLE BEDS//TONS OF STEPS, NO RESTAURANT, BAR OR STORE

We liked the location, the very friendly staff, and the comfortable room.

We didn't like: 1. The fact that there was no restaurant or bar in the resort. 2. It was pretty useless the kitchen when you couldn't buy anything nearby. 3. The fact that the rooms were spread out and there were lots of steps which were not mentioned anywhere. So booking a handicap room and finding lots of stairs was quite disappointing. 4. The shower had no handshower. 5. It was a wedding at the weekend and we just went around because the lobby was occupied by the wedding guests.

Loved this oasis of tranquility

We loved the location on the bay and the awesome view from our balcony. Staff were very attentive. The easy loan of beach towels and snorkeling equipment, enabled us to maximise outdoor pursuits and having access to the property’s kayaks allowed us to explore the local marine area .

The drapes in our apartment kept out the heat/light but we’re a little dated. Some fresh soft furnishings would make the rooms more inviting.

Cosy home from home in a great location

The view from the HUGE terrace... Having a fully fitted kitchen was useful. Amazing location, close to so many 'must see' in the area. Great shower.

No more fire dancers. No maid service. Parking fee (but then, it's very common in Hawaii -- rather annoyingly) This is not a 'resort' as often described in other countries. Not deluxe or busy, but very comfy. The apartment looked more dated than in the advertised photos (darker furniture too). No lifts and lots of stairs to get to the apartments. No one to help with luggage (receptionist had to help herself).

Stunning view and a lovely experience. Highly recommend waterfront cottages.

Why we went, and what we were very pleased to see, was the stunning view from our waterfront cottage. Picture perfect. The cottage was clean with comfortable beds.

The cottages are divided in two with a very thin joining wall. On the first night we had loud neighbours, luckily the next few nights we had a quiet family.
