Not enough pool chairs or beach chairs

I stayed on floor 38 overlooking the beach/ocean. The most amazing view! Large balcony to enjoy the view. I almost didnt want to leave. The room was nice. I spoke to the staff after the first night about the bed being uncomfortable. Vanessa was awesome and had the mattress changed! Only complaint is that there isnt any counter space in the bathroom.

Everything!!! The service was great from checking to check out!! Onsite options for food and drinks was great!! Location on the beach and near great restaurants and shopping was perfect!!

Not enough beach

Great location right on the beach, and pretty central to the area.

Old hotel and some items in the room need upgrades or replacements. Shower glass walls leaked in certain areas, black mold on shower head nuts and bolts, chipped paint on doors.

The wonderful staff are very friendly and welcome you with a lei. Inside the hotel also has a lot of history about the hotel's journey and important influential people in Oahu. The beach is right down stairs! with live music 🎶 The hotel is right near many shops and restaurants if you want to explore outside your stay. We had a great time!

We would have liked to stay longer :( We will come back next time.

Loved the age and majesty of the property. Direct access to the beach was great.

We were told to move from a table we were sitting at if we weren’t going to buy drinks. There were 8 tables free, it was 2pm and we didn’t feel like drinking at the time. After making a complaint to the manager, they apologised and gave us a $75 room credit.

Excellent location in the heart of Waikiki. Historic Banyan room built in 1918. Nice ocean view, no lanai. Great Mai-tai's at the pool bar. Beautiful lobby with live music at night. Attached coffee shop has great Kona pour-overs.

Pool towels not cleared off of unused chairs makes seating at a fairly small pool next to impossible.

We would have preferred an option for a continental breakfast at the resort. We didn't feel like having a $48 dollar huge breakfast buffet. We were disappointed about that.

We had ocean view, which was amazing. The location was awesome right in Waikiki., close to everything.

The only thing I did not like about the property is the rooms were not really big.

I cannot say there was anything I did not like about the property. It was amazing.

The location was fantastic and the hotel had a wonderful charm about it.

The bathroom was very small and no space to put toiletries. The prices at the restaurant were very expensive a glass of wine was $21 US which is over $30 AUS. We didn’t drink at the hotel because of the expense!

The ocean views from the hotel were simply breathtaking. Gentle breezes rustled through the lush, tropical landscaping, creating a serene atmosphere. Every member of the staff encountered provided exceptional and friendly service. The meticulously maintained courtyard offered a tranquil escape. This hotel provided a truly memorable and luxurious experience.

Beautiful property and the location was perfect

At night if we arrived later we had to walk thru the lobby area where people were dancing with no other route to get to our elevator. My husband was not pleased with the snack selections on the beach bar menu.

Best position in Waikīkī. Pool and beach access superb. Staff helpful and excellent.

Very noisy on the “city view” side. No city view, just very load street noise (preachers, music, crowd noise, motorcycles and cars) until midnight. We ended up paying $100 per night to change to an ocean view room.

Wish they had a breakfast option that wasnt the whole buffet. I just need coffee and one item like yogurt or oatmeal.

I really appreciate the vibe at the hotel. It was warm and welcoming and excellent at the same time. For example, there was no dress code, which made it easy to transition from the beach back to the room. We didn't need to stress about that. The service was good from beginning to end. All of the food and drinks were good and our room was really super. I loved the beach view. We left super happy.

I can't recall not liking anything about the hotel or the trip.

Location was amazing with the international marketplace across the street and hotel right on the beach. Best of both worlds.

There were a couple of things, however it was manageable. Lobby area under construction during our visit and too many kids at the pool.

Couldnt order ala carte off breakfast menu. The buffet was expensive given i only eat a bowl of oatmeal.

Proximity to beach. Competent friendly staff. Very helpful. Security staff was reassuring. Close to downtown activities. Food was good but very expensive.

Knowing the extent of construction prior to booking. Beach access from our specific tower was restricted. Mattress wasn’t as good as other Westin properties we have stayed at. Concierge service was could have been more helpful in identifying quality local restaurants.

This iconic hotel is right on Waikiki Beach. It is one of the oldest hotels and it has been renovated. The rooms were comfortable and I had an amazing ocean beachfront room. They provided robes and a safe, and a refrigerator. The staff was exceptionally accommodating. They had a beach bar where we had cocktails and you could order food. They had a lovely pool with bar and food service. The smell of plumeria every time you got in and out of the elevator was amazing. There were photos and historical information about the hotel and the area which I really loved. There were many places to just sit and hang out and people watch.

There was only one store, and it had some beautiful clothes, but was very pricey. There weren’t any other stores where you could buy, sundries, etc. When I asked where I could buy the plumeria sent they didn’t understand what I was talking about.

Location is great

The pool area is sub optimal. Not enough deck chairs for the number of people. The roll away bed at $120 per night is too expensive. The King rooms should have sofa beds.
