Hotel Les Armures, Geneva

Very clean and elegant hotel with great service. Small but mighty. It’s so central so location is perfect and nighttime walks were delightful. The staff were always greeting you or offering help if needed.

Beautiful and charming hotel. Every detail (linens, towels, robes, complimentary toiletries, decor) was wonderful. The staff was friendly, pleasant, helpful, and extremely responsive. The associated cafe was delicious and the morning breakfast was fantastic. Even room service exceeded our expectations.

Charming boutique hotel located in heart of Old Village. Staff courteous, friendly and extremely accommodating. Within walking distance to Lake, restaurants, shopping, etc. Restaurant one of oldest in Switzerland and deserves its reputation for authentic Swiss food and superb service. Would recommend to anyone! If we could, we would give Les Armours six stars.

Hotel Les Armures is exceptional in every way. It's located in the old center of Geneva, which is perfect...though take a taxi if you have luggage since the historic center was built on a hilltop and it's a hike seriously uphill or up cobbled stairs from the lake level parts of the city. But it's the right place to stay. Inside, it's a beautifully designed and decored hotel....boutiquish in size. Front desk is always staffed and you can't walk in or out without hearing "Bonjour." Entire staff was friendly, always helpful and kind (especially Daria at the front desk). Our room was luxurious and seemed like new (best shower in six weeks in Europe). While we never once saw a maid, every day while we were at breakfst our room was immediately and quickly cleaned. At night, while we were out at dinner, our bed was turned down with chocolates awaiting. Breakfast was a delight and so convenient--maybe just include it in your reservation. The hotels restaurant is right around the corner and rated one of the best in Geneva (we can confirm). This is a rare hotel that is doing everything right.

The hotel is a restful oasis of quiet in the historic heart of Geneva. Guests are welcomed by a friendly and helpful staff. An excellent restaurant in the same building offers traditional cuisine.

The hotel is centrally located in the old town surrounded by history and wonderful restaurants and cafes. The staff were outstanding, Special shout out to David and Thom. Room was beautifully decorated and had everything we could ask for. The breakfast was excellent too.

Location and comfort

Absolutely stunning hotel with excellent staff, 9/10 for attention to detail. The only Hotels I've stayed that would be better would be some of the five-star hotels in the big chains like the Ritz-Carlton group, but in Switzerland and this time of year you'd be talking multiples of the price we paid to stay here. Genuinely brilliant boutique Hotel. Location was probably the best of any city stay hotel I've been to. Thanks to Tom especially for his help with booking tickets etc. Hotel restaurant was also a genuine treat with the traditional Swiss Fare explained by good waiting staff. Well worth booking for your first night in my opinion.

Rooms are adequate in relation to size for two 6 footers like myself and my wife but no more. That said this is a boutique hotel right at the old town and advertised as such.

What a lovely stay! Everything was PERFECT: 1. Had booked for one night the standard bedroom and then the suite for the second night. Upon arrival they informed us we had been upgraded for the suite for the first night as well so we would not have to make a bedroom change. 2. The hotel is so perfectly located, right in the middle of old town. If you like fondue, you cannot miss their restaurant. 3. Their staff was attentive, professional and efficient. They even left a card, a box of chocolates, cookies and fresh fruits in the bedroom for my husband’s birthday. 4. The confort and cleanliness of the room. All and all a place to not miss when in Geneva, definitely my go to for my next stay!

Heating to high

The location is perfect. Very close to main district , shopping area, lake and restaurants.

The property is ideally located in the Old Town. It is tastefully designed. The staff were professional, warm, welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was a great traditional Swiss spot, very popular, with a good atmosphere, and well trained staff. The fondue was huge!

It was very unfortunate how hot the room was and there was seemingly nothing that could be done. It was a maximum of 10 degrees outside in the day time (would have been much lower at night) and yet the room was searing hot at 24 degrees due to overuse of central heating. The air con didn’t work (apparently a Swiss regulation given the time of the year), the window opened onto a noisy road. We were given a fan but when we turned the lights off the plug sockets turned off. Eventually after a number of visits by the staff with me in my pyjamas, we got the fan to work. We slept very badly due to the noise and heat. This was a great shame given the property is quite £££.
