Guesthouse Soprarno Suites, Florence

We had a wonderful stay. Brunella was such a wonderful host and helped us above and beyond. Maura was lovely and cheerful serving our breakfast each morning. The suites are stunning vintage luxury with an eclectic mix of styles and themes. Exceptional Italian attention to detail and a huge comfortable bed! Will definitely come back.

Wish our stay was longer!

The property was very authentic Italian which made our stay even more special. It was quirky and unique. It was close to the city but quiet.

This boutique hotel is extremely central and curated in every little detail. The manager is super helpful and kind. Rooms are luxurious but also particular. Super central. Strongly recommend.

All was great. Personally I prefer hotels with 24/7 reception for safety reasons but this wasn’t an issue here.

The staff were so helpful and welcoming. They gave us great suggestions for vegan restaurants, and all of them were fantastic. On my birthday they sent us some Prosecco to the room, which was a really nice touch. The breakfast was fantastic. We are both vegan, and they did provide vegan croissants, incredible fresh fruit, a selection of vegan milks etc. The room was quiet, spacious, and the B&B is within walking distance to all the places we wanted to visit. Truly could not have enjoyed ourselves more.

This is a very authentic hotel of epoca, walk-able distance to the city center and to any touristic/museum area and restaurants. Good and charming neighborhood that has a lot to offer. I love the high original ceiling of the room with the high windows that allow to see a bit of the blue sky on the morning and the authentic bathroom. The shower was huge, two individual can fit. Just love it all!! The bed was super comfortable and the room very big for one person and clean as well as the bathroom. I felt very welcomed - the staff of the hotels both at the reception and at the breakfast were very nice, polite and very willing to assist with all my queries and requests. The breakfast was delicious and fresh - various choices in term of cake including croissants, pain aux chocolate, fruits, cheese, yahourt and very nice bread!! Viviana was adorable and shared good tips mainly restaurants near by - I've tested few of them - those were good recommendations. Viviana had a very special attention for the day of my birthday: after wishing me on the morning happy birthday and back to the room on the evening a surprise gift was waiting for me in my room - Very adorable attention. Thank you again for contributing and make me feel a bit more special on that day Viviana!!

Room was spacious. Location was great, very close to the Pitti Palace.

Breakfast could be improved, we found a piece of bread with mold on it. Rooms were dusty, especially in the bathrooms. One of our reserved rooms constantly smelled like washroom. Staff at reception was friendly but we had to have several conversations with them for them to agree to help us input our driver’s plate number into city’s system.

The ambiance is unique and charming, the location is perfectly out of the mix, and the breakfast is very nice.

The snacks and coffee selection are pretty limited. Staff leaves around 4.

Wonderful generous rooms, in a fantastic location in the city. Close to all the sights, but just outside of the crazy crowds, so perfect spot. We loved the neighbourhood and the great piazza close by with loads of restaurants to choose from. Great breakfast and lovely hosts.

Nothing, everything was great!

We loved that the location was relatively quiet compared to the more touristy areas but very close walking distance to just about everything. After dealing with so many crowds, coming back to “our street” was welcome respite. The property was clean, well appointed and breakfast was delightful. A special thank you to Moura ( our breakfast hostess) for being particularly lovely. Both of the ladies in reception were equally helpful and welcoming. Our room was very spacious and beautiful. The bed exceptionally comfortable.

It was warm in the room and we unable to turn on air for a couple of days. They were having a cool front so we opened windows and street noise was a little bothersome. The other negative was the very tiny bathroom. Not all rooms are the same so I know other rooms had larger bathrooms. The shower in our bath was so tiny it was difficult to maneuver in.

We had booked a beautiful room . I am a light sleeper and it was on front of hotel . The road is very busy and loud so we asked to be moved . The next room was amazing and so quiet ! Oh and the toilets in the older rooms smell like sewage that needs to be looked at

Huge room with a comfortable bed. Very cool interior design that makes you really feel a part of Florence. Beautiful rooms and decor. Staff were really helpful and the building is in a fantastic location just over the river near great bars and restaurants.

It was quite noisy at night. Our room was at the front meaning we heard a lot of cars and motorbikes. Because the building is old with large tall windows it was quite noisy. Breakfast was nice but basic in terms of what was on offer, didn’t change each day.

Great overall experience that exceeded our expectations. The location is outside of the tourist areas, but still central. Attention to design and comfort in the rooms is excellent and the breakfast in the cafe was delicious.

Amazing room, beautiful decor throughout the property, very clean and large rooms with historical details. Breakfast was great! Plenty of choices and the best Italian Coffee :-)

As the hotel only has a total of 13 rooms, it would have been nice if the hotel staff remembered guests names or at least their rooms, rather than asking every day at breakfast again for the room number. As this is a boutique hotel with an exquisite touch, this would have been the level of attentiveness to be expected. The hotel entrance does not look anything like the rooms and could use a makeover. You would never expect such a nice property when standing in front of it.... a secret gem.

The whole experience at SoprArno was special. We loved staying in an original Florentine palazzo with an arty twist. We used warm inviting lounge spaces a lot and loved our room which was enchantingly chic with intriguing collectables throughout.The breakfast room was an added daily delight. Great location, can't recommend highly enough.

Breakfast could have been a little better- perhaps fresh home made granola, fresh fruit or berries and natural greek yogurt , and artisan bread instead of sliced bread.

From the moment we entered Soprarno, we were impressed by the smells, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff! Soprarno is in an ideal location just outside of the busy area but close enough to make everything within walking distance. The suggestions regarding restaurants were perfect based on what we were looking for. We would absolutely return next time we are in Florence!

Location was perfect south of the river. Nice neighbourhood and away from the Busy city centre across the river. Nice eateries around that area of Santa Spirito. Also walking distance of 10 mins to historical centre. Good continental breakfast . Helpful Staff. Leonardo and staff was really helpful with suggestions for places to eat and tips

Beautifully decorated room in an old building, one of the best places I have stayed. The breakfast was amazing! I will be returning. Highly recommend!

The interior fragrance was too strong for us. We ended up having our windows open on the first night to air it out, second night was much better.

The suite was so stylishly furnished with every detail being considered to make it the right balance of luxurious and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable and the surprise addition of the office / wardrobe space was a real bonus. The location and layout of the suites means the Soprano feel like a very calm space to retreat from the crowds of the historic centre (although only a short walk across the bridge). And I was given the warmest of welcomes by Viviana.

The location was excellent, close to restaurants and attractions. I had an accident when in the apartment (my fault) and the staff couldn't do enough for me to help. Breakfast was great. Would stay there again if ever in Florence.

The breakfast selection was very nice and the opportunity to have a cappuccino or latte was a special treat. Comfortable little space nicely decorated on the ground floor with a window onto the street.

Quite satisfied!

The room was huge yet decorated in a way that made it feel ultra cozy and homey. Truly felt like a home away from home. The staff kept things clean and it always smelled so lovely after a long day. The bed was massive and again ultra cozy. I was worried when we got there that the mattress was going to be too soft, it had a little give, but it was actually extremely supportive and we slept incredibly well. Beautiful all around.

There is only a small lounge area. This was fine as it was quiet so there was room for us to sit at the table and play cards but it would be great to have a small lounge area. Be aware that there are two number 35 buildings on the street. This hotel is the second 35 as you walk away from the river. It was a little tricky to find.

Friendly and helpful host. Local map given with recommendations and tips for places to visit and eat/drink, umbrellas given to use when the rain came unexpectedly, storage of bags after checkout until our flight time. Breakfast was very good, nice selection and a lovely lady making the coffee.

The decor and the ceiling are so beautiful. Very eclectic style.. also right in the Center, walkable to all the sites..

Wonderful large individually decorated room s close to most main attractions by foot. Beautiful lady on reception. Helped with the difficulty of allowing drop off & pick up of luggage. Lovely breakfast in their own quaint coffee shop just for guest’s breakfast.

Bathroom though amazingly large. The shower also beautifully large was dangerous to step out of.

The breakfast was not my cup of tea especially the coffee was really disappointing. However, I don’t need much for breakfast except a good coffee.

The property has such a unique style, which is comfortable and you can’t help but marvel at the decor. The rooms were cleaned daily and we were given fresh towels every day. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Would recommend this property to anyone and we’ll definitely be visiting again.
