Hostel Angelina Old Town, Dubrovnik

Ana from the reception and other gentleman I forgot his name were so helpful. The location is flawless. The cleaning on daily basics was brilliant. Good service, helpful staff. Really liked the place.

The kitchen should be open 24/7 and some more stuff like soap and shampoo could be provided in the bathroom in my opinion.

Milan was so helpful and such a genuine friendly member of staff. The hostel was clean every day and the location was absolutely perfect being right in the heart of the old town.

There are many people from USA, UK and Australia that I didnt get along with. Otherwise some of the people at the hostel were friendly and eager to make conversation. I understand Durbovnik is expensive but I feel the price however, is too expensive for staying at a hostel.

Central location in the old town. Easy check in. A great common area space in the main building where you can easily meet other people. The room I stayed in ended up being a 4 bed rather than an 8 bed (which I paid for), which worked out well for me because it was a lovely little room with single beds (rather than bunk beds) and had a gorgeous view of the old town out of the window. This definitely made my experience more enjoyable, but this information wasn’t given to me beforehand.

I really struggled to find the property as it was not well signposted. PLEASE watch the video on where it is before visiting - this will help you massively. I didn’t like that they don’t clearly state beforehand that you may not be staying in the main hostel building. When I arrived they checked me in, and then a woman who works there walked us over to the separate building where I was staying. It was only a 5 minute walk, which was fine, but then the building itself required walking up 3 flights of stairs, with no option of an elevator. This wasn’t ideal when having to carry a suitcase and a bag up to the room. Although I did pay for a mixed room (as there was no option of female-only) I thought it was bad judgement to place an older man in his 40s-50s in a room where there was only two women in their 20s staying. Thankfully it was fine, but it did make myself and another girl in the room uncomfortable. I think forward planning of the guests in each room would make the experience more comfortable for everyone.

It is right in the city center. Hostel staff were really nixe and they organize different activites that you can take part at. Overall a good stay for a few nights in Dubrovnik and one of the cheapest as well.

I had an amazing time here, met a lot of solo travellers and we end up having a lot of fun, the WhatsApp group it’s also amazing to keep up with things to do. While I was staying we had sangria night and it was so cool. Totally recommend 😃

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were able to check in during the early hours of the morning outside the check in times listed on booking.com. The staff were very kind and helpful and the property hosted frequent socials such as sangria nights etc. There is also a hostel group chat that people post their day plans into often and share Ubers to the airport etc. The property was cleaned well and the shared bathroom was never busy. There were lockers and plugs and lights next to each bed. There were also very useful as the plug acted as a shelf for our phones too. The location of the main hostel dorms is excellent and so central next to lots of bars and food places. The toilets in this building were also very good with big mirrors. We felt very safe during our stay here and frequently used the facilities to wash, cook and relax. The terrace view is of all of Dubrovnik and was a great place to sit whilst we ate.

It is worth noting that the building that has the private rooms in is a 7 minute walk away from the location of the hostel booked online. This wasn’t a big issue for me as Dubrovnik is a relatively small city, although my asthmatic friend wasn’t thrilled at the 110 step climb into the apartment. Personally I don’t think this was a game changer and would absolutely still book again. The showers were a little small but seemed well cleaned and featured a sink too for brushing teeth.

Can’t find any better location than here if you want to visit Old City ! The staff is very friendly and gives good advices ! There is a terrace, it’s perfect if you want to meet people !

The 2 urinals were of of use. You don’t have a proper dry place to put your stuff in the men shower. 2/6 lockers in the room were broken.

The location was right in Dubrovnik old town. The room was clean, and the beds were as comfortable as one could expect for a hostel. Staff were super helpful and gave me information about the town and helped me when I needed to change rooms due to non-functional AC. Fantastic opportunities for socializing as a solo traveler, perhaps the best of any hostel I've ever stayed in, there's a group chat and lots of people hanging out around the hostel. Definitely a younger crowd (18-30), which was perfect for me as a young adult. Met some nice people, and it made my stay in Dubrovnik much more fun.

The AC in the main building was completely non functional. The room I was in the first night was disgustingly hot and humid, and I slept absolutely terribly. I was up really late working with the staff (who were very helpful, and this was not their fault) to see if they could get it working, to no avail. Luckily, the next day, they had a bed available in another one of their buildings, and the AC worked there. If there was nothing available, I would have had to book another hostel in order to sleep, losing out on the money for that night and having to pay for another night at a different hostel. The hostel has multiple buildings (at least 3). The terrace and kitchen are in the main building. This is fine, but they should specify during the booking process which building you will be in and that it's a different location from the kitchen and terrace. All are in old town. Payment is cash only.

Suited right in the center the hostel has one of the best locations. The room was big, everyone has a locker. There is a small kitchen and beautiful terrace.

Dubrovnik is really pricy, especially in summer. So I guess hostels are not affordable anymore. In the shower is no proper space to keep things dry while showering and changing in the same area.

Excellent location

It was my first time to stay in the hostel as I want to go out of my comfort zone and try something different and by staying in the hostel. I had a great experience as this property is already in the old town & I dont need to walk satirs around town. I stayed in their Annex ( U2 ) USCA St. Thanks Milan for giving me a good room though the rooms are in the 3rd floor I am okay bout it. The toilet & shower room were cleaned and with good flow of water in the shower tap. I would recommend it to customers and definitely stay here again if I am back in Dubrovnik.

This hostel is located in the heart of King's Landing and near different points of interest.

The main building of the hostel (I believe this is mainly where the larger dorms are) is extremely sociable. The staff are friendly and helpful, and can give you any information you need about the local area and things to do. There's also a group chat for the hostel that allows you to organise activities with other Angelina hostellers. The beds are comfy, and locker storage is sufficient. Each bed has a little reading light and plug sockets. The rooms themselves are compact, but you'll likely spend most of your day out and about so it's not a major issue. I echo what other people have said about the showers - the cubicles are a little cramped, but the shower temperature and pressure is excellent. The terrace is cute, but closes at 10pm to keep noise to a minimum. The main hostel building is very easy to get to from the airport shuttle drop-off, and is next to a small supermarket and lots of local attractions.

Not necessarily a negative, but the front entrance is quite nondescript - make sure you watch the walking video that the hostel sends you, as it can be easy to walk past the door. The building didn't have great internal sound insulation. The hostel isn't huge, so you can hear people chatting and cooking in the kitchen even from the furthest rooms in the hostel. Remember to pack an eye mask and earplugs! The kitchen is a bit small - during peak hours, you'll find yourself working around a number of other guests.

Six buildings, so my room was actually at the very top of the old town up all the staircases.

The staff was super friendly! The location was super good and the hostel was always clean. Spacious rooms and nice terras! There where some organized events, where you could meet people.It was quite in the evening and night after 22:00 so you could sleep perfectly. I felt at home at this place after staying there for 1 week.

Some of the lockers where not working, they did not close with the locks. But the staff tried to help me and I found one locker that I managed to close. Price is a bit high for a hostel, i guess that is the price you pay for Dubrovnik. But other then that this hostel is perfect.

Location is good especially if you want to stay in old town. Nice facilities, roof top terrace and kitchen were nice. Here you can meet easily nice new people. Friendly staff. Special thanks to Anna!

The only thing i didn't like was the fact that If dorm rooms windows are closed and AC is not on during The night, The air doesnt feel nice in The morning because 10 people has been using a lot of oxygen in The room. So with window a bit open, no worries at all!

The gps/google address gives you the wrong location. The bathroom situation is a bit chaotic as the main door faces the public hallway so difficult to get changed, and only can do it in the shower where everything gets wet...
