Hostel Angelina Old Town, Dubrovnik

In the heart of old city,big enough dorm room with excellent wi fi. Clean and safe . Helpful and friendly staff. Airport bus stop is at an entrance of old town (3 min walk to hostel) and main bus station is 30-40 min walk away or easily reachable by buses passing just outside old town.

I had one of the best hostel experiences thanks to the incredible staff! Everyone was so helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with emergencies or last-minute trip bookings. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of the Old Town, yet the rooms were peaceful and quiet. The rooftop terrace was amazing, and they organized fun activities for guests every night, making it easy to meet fellow travelers. The hostel had everything you could need as a traveler!

Overall, it was an unforgettable stay in a perfect spot in the center of Dubrovnik!

The location counts here in old city. Nice bars in front of the hostel , the old town is better late night when the tourist crowds are gone. Super cool staff, nice terrace , all was o.k. Hostel is in old building in old town, there is not too much space in the rooms.

Centre of Old Dubrovnik, near shops, many eating/drinking places, interesting buildings, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra played at a venue a few hundred metres away.

I think I should have asked for a bottom bunk, as I split my only pair of trousers as I descended to the floor.

The location cannot be beaten, staff is accommodating and the layout of the room is really good. I’d easily choose this over a hotel anyday even if the price wasn’t significant.

Little nitpick but a single pillow, would be nice for 2.

loved the location and getting accom with private bathroom was an added bonus, as we hadn't paid for it

but noisy at night so take your ear plugs and stairs galore, though not unexpected

Room was smaller than other hostels I’ve been in. Difficult to sleep some nights as noise rule wasn’t being enforced.

The staffs are all lovely, Romina, Nico, Mia , and Matea all were super helpful. The beds and rooms are clean and comfy. The terrace is super nice.

There are three different buildings, some has intense numbers of stairs, beware! It is cash only. Laundry is extra. Social events did not happen.

Amazing location when you’re in the main building, be aware they have multiple buildings, Isabel was super friendly, very clean.

More seating needed on terrace, laundry was too expensive, no common areas to sit in after 10pm, there was a staff member who was pretty rude, I think a bit overpriced for what you get.

There are no longer bunk beds in some of the dorms, so not every bed has a charging point.

I liked having female only bathrooms and showers. The aircon was great.

I wish there was an indoor common area that was open 24/7. Bigger lockers, can’t fit a suitcase or large backpack.

Small but very friendly Great location - a little terrace to sit out and open all day long.

It was expensive but I suppose they were in line with Dubrovnik prices. Whilst there was always someone to call,because we were in one of their smaller hostels there wasn’t always someone to speak to face to face.

The hostel is amazingly located in the very heart of Dubrovnik. I would never have imagined sleeping in such a historical city. I would really like to thank Dylan for his really a nice and welcoming attention! Do not hesitate to book this hostel for your stay in Dubrovnik!!

If you like privacy, this is not the right place for you, even if they also have private 2 beds or 4 beds bedrooms.

Good location and friendly staff, great vibe.

Room had single beds which was a nice touch, and an excellent air conditioning system for the hot summer. Staff were welcoming and the hostel had lots of nightly events/group chat for those interested in those things. Cool vibes.

CASH ONLY - it does not say this when booking, and the listing should be updated to reflect it. Rooms are spread out over many buildings so your mileage may very depending what building you get. The room layout is a bit weird - I didnt have a charger or light as my bed was right in the middle of the room, and there were no curtains on the skylights in my room so wasn't exactly a quiet or comfortable night.

The staff and volunteers are super helpful and kind! Bathrooms were really nice and the location was great.

The beds were really uncomfortable. Probably the worst hostel beds i’ve slept in and could use some improvement. Otherwise everything else was great!

The showers and toilets were always dirty, for the number of people using them it should be maintained thoughout the day, not just once by the early morning cleaners

The price is a bit steep for what it is, but this is not specific for this hostel. It is an overall issue in Dubrovnik. I would still recommend.

Modern room and bathroom, good hot shower. The 12 dorm I booked was not what I got, instead I was taken to another building nearby and a room with 4 single beds. I can’t complain because the room was technically an upgrade and had a wonderful rooftop view, only there were no communal facilities there.

Hairs and footprints on the sheets. The receptionist insisted I pay cash, other guests told me that they paid with card with no problem.

Good value for money given its in the heart of the old town. I stayed in the main hostel building, which had good shower and bathroom facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful and a good hostel to meet other people and explore Dubrovnik with.

The bunks would be better with curtains attached. Was a little tricky to find reception so could probably do with a bigger sign over the main entrance.

Organization of groups to hang out. Air Conditioner very helpful to sleep comfortable during summer.

Those damn stairs to get to the building I was assigned.

The staff at reception were friendly and the room I was in was spacious.

Unfortunately my room did not look like the photos and our room was across the town from where we were told we would be staying. Also two nights in a row myself and another person were woken up by staff talking and making noise in the kitchen at 2-3am. This was really unfortunate as the staff enforce the 10pm-8am quiet time rule.

4 bed room in the other building was very comfortable. Having a full kitchen with a fridge was great. Everything was very clean and the organised outings were great for meeting people

In the other building the one toilet and shower were in the same room and shared by two dorms meaning if someone was showering there was no available toilet

Everything was nice about the place. Very comfortable. All the needed options. Nice shower.

The volunteers… very pointless… they take the whole space in both fridge leaving no storage for the guests. And on top of that they ate my food. :( But I guess there’s a switch every once in a while so people in the future might encounter nicer ones. :)

Cleaning and staff very good . I checked out and left my luggage without extra money. Also when I picked up my bags they let my took a shower and allowed me to use the kitchen

The people seemed very helpful and accommodating. The man in the mornings at the reception was specially helpful in mentioning many local details of Dubrovnik and how to make my time there more meaningful and enjoyable.

The hostel does not accept payment by card. Also it was not mentioned earlier to me that payment at the place will only be possible through cash. I didn't bring any cash and had to search for a nearby atm. Also, during check-in when i arrived at the reception at night, there was no one there. I had to message through the booking.com message service.

The location of the hostel is great, right in the centre of the old town, with a nice little backyard, so you could always take a break there between sightseeing. The washrooms were clean and good.

You had to wait a long time to check in and could only pay in cash. They don't seem to have heard of card payment yet. It's also very expensive, of course, like almost everything in the city. They actually wanted €20 for doing the laundry, which was pretty outrageous.

The location is amazing, the room was clean and the WiFi worked well.

The bed was not very comfortable and it is not located in the building as the Hostel.

Location.

The toilets and showers. Nowhere to hang your stuff in the showers or toilets. They simply need to put hooks along the walls which would easily solve this issue. It was a problem everyone who was staying there mentioned. Also no fresh air in the toilet or showers, perhaps install an exhaust fan?

I loved my stay in this hostel. They have a WhatsApp group for everyone that’s staying where you can make plans with other solo travelers. They also organize different activities every night for the guests. The bathrooms were always clean and the kitchen too.

The only problem I had is that I booked the dates wrong and I ended up paying an additional night and it’s a little expensive

I'm used that in these kind of rooms the beds are equipped with curtains for some privacy, this one doesn't have, which makes it a little weird to me

The staff was friendly, the beds comfortable, the location excellent and the overall vibe was positive and upbeat without being too intense. They organised daily trips to exciting places which was a huge plus. Aircon was always utilised

Only issue I had was the fridge was a bit small and cramped and the kitchen wasn’t suitable for more than 2-3 people at once due to size.

The room was lovely and the location - once we found it - was perfect and very central.

It is so difficult to find this place and the directions are incredibly misleading. We walked to a square initially but couldn’t find the hostel, then found a different address. We walked up hundreds of steps to the ‘Annex’, left our bags there for the day, walked back up there in the evening to find it locked. Couldn’t get through to anyone on the phone for around 20 minutes. Eventually got through to someone who told us that was actually the wrong place. Had to walk all the way back to the square we originally went to and someone met us there. The hotel is not well signposted at all, there is the smallest little sign on the door. Then we went in there and then they took us across the old town again to another building where we were actually staying.
