Boutique Hotel Kazbek, Dubrovnik

Wonderful boutique hotel in a lovely and private setting. The pool is awesome and gets sun all day with a jacuzzi corner. Our room had a bath shower and waterfall shower which you can use at the same time! The bed was excellent and we slept like overworked adults. Wait staff are very quick, and each bar has a bell system to call them if they aren't attending at that moment. There is a picture-perfect terrace where you can have drinks with stunning views of the harbour. We didn't try the hotel restaurant a the local area has many good choices for food and drinks.

It is such a small thing but given this is the most expensive and nicest place we stayed in out of three places in Croatia, we were surprised that their hairdryer was a not great. It's one of those attached to the wall where you have to hold a button down to activate it. Connections to old town are a little awkward by public transport, you have to walk about 10mins away at a slow pace. Everything else was fantastic, and we were very glad to stay here but it is the small things given the 5 stars and price that you focus on when looking to give them a perfect score.

A very well modernized and beautiful small palace about 10 minutes by taxi from the old town. After the rigors of a tourist day, it was nice to return to a peaceful residence and relax by the pool. The service was excellent and highly personalized. It's also next to the marina which is great for private boat tours.

We have stayed at Kazbek many times over the years and come back whenever there is vacancy. Excellent location, restaurant and staff.

Perfect boutique hotel experience. Beautiful surroundings and comfort. Very tranquil place to relax. Staff were outstanding. Very helpful and attentive. Pool area was fabulous as is the front courtyard where we were served our breakfasts and evening meals. So much more personal than the larger chain hotels. I especially like the location of The Kazbek. Easy walks to the marina, restaurants, shopping and beaches in the area. Public transport outside the door for buses to old town. Still walkable of course. Looking forward to my next visit.

The accommodations are beautiful and comfortable. The pool is heated and the sauna is great! Restaurant food is delicious and the service is phenomenal! The area of Lapad is very walkable with walking paths, restaurants and bars close by as well as the Marina.

Location away from old city but just a quick bus ride to get there. A nice stroll down to the beach with a wide range of places to eat and drink. Hotel grounds are nice and just down the passage is a waterfront under development. Room was large comfortable and clean and the breakfast was very nice. Staff are polite and extremely professional.

The hotel is a bit old fashioned in terms of decor in common areas and bedroom.

Staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The road in front of the hotel was under construction during our stay but the staff took great care to ensure it was not a problem for us. The hotel is extremely beautiful and breakfast was delicious.

We wish we could've stayed longer but our itinerary did not permit an extension.

There is a construction going on around the hotel making access to it somewhat challenging, but this is to be resolved over the next couple of months. Our second floor room's window was small and placed high above ground, so there was no "view" from the room to speak of. Likely rooms on other floors did not have the same problem, but I can't know for sure.

Road works outside the entrance were a pain as we had to drag our suit cases quite a distance down a side alley from a local car park nearby

Lovely hotel, great food and brilliant staff. Hotel situated in a really useful location, 5-10 minutes bus ride to the old town, close to lots of lovely restaurants. Hotel is full of character.

There was construction work outside the hotel that we weren't made aware of until a few days before (work that has been carrying on for quite a while). The hotel is well insulated from the sound, but on week days you could hear it when at the pool / outside eating area. However, it didn't affect our sleep (I'm a light sleeper), and it wouldn't put me off staying there again.

We liked the peace and quiet. The pool area was perfect. The hotel is immaculately clean.

Not much atmosphere around the place. I suspect to do with the roadworks and end of season although it would have been good to see a bar open to tempt people together. That said it’s a hotel for a peaceful holiday, almost a private holiday. We didn’t like the mosquitoes in the room!

The hotel is currently in the middle of extensive roadworks, and whilst this did not affect our sleep or enjoyment of the hotel, care was needed when leaving or returning to the hotel. Anyone with mobility issues would have found this difficult.

Secluded pool area.

The road works but when they are finished the hotel will be even better. Just the addition of a few things required for a 5* hotel, wash our room cups up, ask if we would like milk in the fridge. only small but irritating.

We have stayed at Kazbec many times over the years and even if we aren’t staying at the hotel we always have breakfast there (as well as other meals). The staff is outstanding and friendly. Wonderful property.

Peaceful and sophisticated at the same time. Really excellent place to stay and visit Dubrovnik. Strongly recommend . Swimming pool area was a real blessing. Room are really nice and large. Service was really good . Building architecture is really nice. Plenty of restaurants in and around to choose from. Breakfast were really good and the terrasse itself was worth taking breakfast there to start a good day.

At the time of our stay, the road was under construction. But I must say that even if it was an inconvenience, we hardly heard a thing within the hotel. Only small regret is the lack of choice on the hotel restaurant menu for dinner ,even if the food was really good

The property was beautiful and was spotless. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great and all of the facilities were superb

The lighting in the room wasn’t ideal- doing my hair was difficult when the sun had gone down. Not a major issue but better lighting near to the mirrors and plug sockets would be ideal.

Superb hotel, we had a fantastic stay. Very clean and great amenities. Breakfast and dinner was delicious and very well presented. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and made you feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend a stay.

Some roadworks being completed but this was outside of their control. Otherwise everything else was of the Highest Standard. A great place to stay.

Firstly the staff were so lovely. So friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They made us feel so welcome. The hotel is stunningly furnished, exclusive but not formal and spotlessly clean and so comfortable. Breakfast is served in the courtyard and the choice is amazing and all the food is of the highest quality. The swimming pool is gorgeous with the most comfy sun beds I have ever used.

The room was spacious, with a big and comfortable bed. The pool was great for swimming and chilling, overlooking the port. The entire hotel furniture keeps the old style, but having modern facilities. The breakfast was amazing.

The hotel was just fantastic, we absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay. The building is very beautiful and the rooms were really nicely furnished in a way that it complimented the older style of the hotel. Pool area was nice and quiet. For a Finn, the sauna was just an absolute enjoyment. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome. The breakfast was amazing. Even though there was a big construction work going on just outside the hotel, we could not hear it. We liked the location of the hotel; it was a walking distance away from really nice restaurants and Lapland beach and also it only took about half an hour to walk to the old town.

Nothing to do with the hotel the weather was bad

The historic atmosphere of the house and courtyard, the pool, all the facilities in our spacious suite, the breakfast elegantly served outside. We were in luck when they let us check in on our early arrival, and on departure the airport transfer was amazing - our driver took a knowledgeable detour following an accident-occasioned standstill on the airport road and got us there.

Pity about the roadworks outside, but hopefully not for much longer.

Absolutely stunning property and amazing staff. It was fantastic to be treated like royalty, with nothing too much trouble. The team also gave great advice and recommendations on places to go and things to do. Some of which we would never have done, or found otherwise. A truly special trip and stay.

The 2nd floor bedrooms had really high windows, so you couldn’t see out without a stool!

Fantastic; beautiful hotel steeped in history. The decor is in keeping with the age of the property. Some lovely quirky features like the dining room curved vault ceiling. The hotel inside and out is exceptionally clean and tidy. The service from all staff was impeccable. The breakfast was delicious. Beds were very comfortable. Likewise we’re the pillows. The towels were super soft and dry you instantly. The slippers and dressing gowns were again soft and comfortable and a nice touch. The tea and coffee facilities were of a good selection. The pool is lovely, plenty of very comfortable sun loungers. Unfortunately it was only the start of the season so the pool and terrace bar were still closed so unable to comment on theses. The location is great. Close to the beautiful marina. A 5 minute walk to the main area where the beach, promenade and shops/ restaurants are. The only downside to our stay was the building works happening right outside the hotel/ marina to create (what we were told, a new road). At present, apart from works vehicles, not a lot of traffic is travelling along this road. Once it becomes a through road, this will make it quite busy and noisy and perhaps spoil the location and setting of the hotel. If they incorporate a nice promenade along the marina, this may make it appealing. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return.

Everything! Classic room, great facilities, amazing breakfast, huge choice and sat outside in courtyard every day! Great pool, sauna, impeccable staff to put it mildly! truely outstanding. Laid back but hugely aware of the guest.

Everything was just perfect. This hotel has an excellent atmosphere, the building is magnificent, while all the facilities are entirely up-to-date. The breakfasts and dinners were top quality. And the staff - they are the biggest asset, there is no superlative to describe how friendly and professional they are.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious - we loved the courtyard setting, sitting outside in the sunshine. What a treat in the middle of October! Our room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. We really hope to return some day.
