Atheneum Suite Hotel, Detroit

Staff were all so friendly and helpful. It was clean, and very comfortable. The food from the lounge and room service was absolutely amazing.

Restaurant attached to the hotel was closed.

The rooms are uniquely beautiful. Location amazing and staff were so helpful and friendly. My favorite person was the man driving the hotel shuttle. So funny and helpful. Getting to the concert was easy and we called for the shuttle to pick us up afterwards. The bar staff and front desk staff were awesome too.

Spacious suites, comfortable rooms, full-service facilities, historic property.

Beautiful place & rooms!!! The staff is extra nice, helpful & fun!!!! There was a shuttle to and from the concert, which was so nice! The shuttle was right there after the concert, no waiting, no hassles, just a happy friendly driver!!

The beds were comfortable, and I am grateful for the window AC units since it was a heat wave. The staff were professional and nice.

I had no complaints except the small size of the elevator, but that's to be expected in an older building.

We didn’t eat there, just stayed the night. Room was clean and nice. It was a pinch warmer upstairs than down where the beds are but not super uncomfy.

Free water would’ve been nice but we did bring our own.

Great rooms and friendly staff. Central location

A beautiful hotelier right in central Detroit. The rooms were spacious and the suites offered a space to chill and watch TV. The lounge and bar area were spectacular

The only thing that could be a consideration for people with mobility issues is the internal steps leading from the TV room to the bedroom.

It was a great experience! We had six rooms and all of my friends loved our stay! We especially appreciated the hotel taxi/transfer service. The drivers took great care of us!

The only issue there was no microwave in the room and no courtesy coffee in the lobby area.

Very spacious and clean room. All staff we met were very friendly and efficient. Lobby and hotel Lou he were comfortable and lovely.

We requested a shuttle to a wedding venue. Found out at check-in they didn’t travel the 8 miles to our venue - only a 5 mile radius. Staff located a taxi for us but the taxi was not able to return later that evening to take us back. He said a fellow cabbie would call us and they never did. We had no way back to the hotel. We ultimately found a ride back with friends but it was unsettling.

The location is close everything, much eveything downtown. The shuttle takes you anywhere within a 5 mile radius, which was fabulous!

No microwave in the rooms but I understand why

The room design and size. Very quiet. Great place to stay while exploring the area.

The family really liked it. The valet was excellent. The shuttle rides were too.

I didn't see any vending machines. Also didn't see a diaper vending machine either.

The bathroom floor hadnt been mopped in quite some time. The glasses in the bathroom looked like they had only been wiped out and not washed. The paper discs that the glasses were on obviously were not fresh and had been re-used. The body lotion had also been previously used. Not new. Also... be aware that the water in the fridge is not free and there are no disclosures stating otherwise. I found out at checkout that they are $5 each. Not good.

The bed was very comfortable. Dual queen beds was great. The blackout curtains were really nice.

Didn't like that when you turned on the bathroom light, it lit up the bedroom area.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The location of the hotel is amazing!

The Atheneum was centrally located to downtown as well as being in Greeektown where there is a fabulous choice of great restaurants. The hotel also offered a free shuttle service to anywhere within a 5 mile radius.

The room was amazing and the entry to the hotel was beautiful. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. They even have a free shuttle to get around the city.

The bathroom was a bit outdated and there was no bathroom fan which I found odd.

Bring the benches back to the outside area

Very expensive for a Saturday & Sunday stay. $35 for parking? Should of already been included in the pricey room rate!!

Every staff member we encountered was friendly, polite and helpful!

The outside area needed attention, some trash and obvious blood on the steps left us feeling a bit uneasy. We knew a prom was being held there that night, but was surprised that the glitter was still all over the lobby in the morning.

The room could have been colder even with the thermostat at lowest, pillows kind of too firm but everything else was perfect!

The hotel was accommodating and it made our trip even better.

Everything. From the moment I arrived until I checked out. All staff treated me like a king. My room, food, and valet parking were all top notch.
