Beautiful rooms and kind staff

The Hotel itself was beautiful

We had booked a room with a king bed and seating area. I got a queen room with no sitting area.

Historic hotel, excellent location easy walking to Denver civic center for the amazing Christkindll market and light display. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays!

Historical masterpiece—gorgeous inside

Interesting historic hotel.

Rooms are quite a bit seedy and in bad need of an update. Not at all in keeping with the price or the historic reputation.

The location was good.

Being ignored by valet. The shower door was very small to get in it. Housekeeping did not turn down the room Saturday morning. Needed an in room microwave. We did not receive breakfast or information on how to order breakfast. Overall very disappointing for money. Will definitely not return.

The phone in our room was not working, (so no room service,etc.), the counter tops were dusty, there was a charge for WiFi, room service came at 5PM, there was 1 robe for a double bed room with 2 people, the concierge was not present

We stayed here for our wedding night and just had the absolute best time. The staff at the tavern made us feel truly celebrated and left us with huge smiles.

Always a wonderful stay, love the ambience and live music.

The history of the hotel is amazing.

The room we received looked nothing like the pictures. The pictures show an updated room, and ours was not. There were holes in the walls in the bathroom where a towel rack used to be. The tub was half full of water from the leaking shower. I googled best beds in Denver, and I hate to say this, but by far, the worst bed I have ever slept in.

Iconic hotel. Seeing people at high tea was great. I will have to book next time.

Everyone was so polite, attention to detail, and helped me surprise my Fiance as well!! If we didn’t want to leave we wouldn’t have had to, they have everything!

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property

Location

The room - sink was broken and didn’t drain water, shower so small, door didn’t close all the way water leaked out. On site bars had little accommodation to guests. An event was planned for NYE but our party of 4 had terrible time finding 4 seats in a room full of hundreds we were told to find somewhere else. For guests of the hotel, even though we weren’t attending the event, and had hours before it even started, it was disappointing for sure. We did have rooms there and we did try to enjoy the hotel but didn’t feel very accommodated. I also requested 2 rooms close together over a month before check in, and upon arrival, told no rooms together we were on separate floors. I found that hard to believe that we were not informed until the moment of check in. Our friends room also had bathroom issues (shower issues specifically), With some room service, our one night stay was almost $1200 - i had higher expectations. We won’t be back and will not recommend.

We ate breakfast one morning at the hotel restaurant and it was fabulous. The staff was exceptionally nice. It was a small issue but happened none the less - the wrong cheese was put on my Denver Omlette - the waiter said he would talk to the kitchen. The hotel main areas are beautiful and I loved the piano playing in the evening. Was nice to have an up to date fitness facility to use across the sky bridge. The location is good if you are not going to rent a car - lots of things in walking distance.

This hotel is over priced (maybe it's the location you pay for). The bed was not comfortable. The wi-fi was not free (free to bonvoy members but for what you pay it should be free anyway). The rooms are very small - we stayed in a room for 2 with a king bed - it was a small king. I will not stay here again and will not recommend - I would recommend staying somewhere else and visiting the hotel.

A/C cooling unit had gone out for entire floors in days previous to our stay. we were not informed either ahead of time nor at checkin. It was unlivable and we chose not to stay. we were lucky we were local and had the choice. to be fair we were not charged

The history of the place. It’s location was nice and within walking distance of places we wanted to go.

It is a beautiful building and the interior lobby is just gorgeous.

I would have like a few more outlets in the room. I could find the thermostat either so had to sleep in a hotter room than I would have liked.

I was very disappointed in the breakfast. I thought my biscuits and gravy would be amazing and it was just ok. Biscuits were very overcooked and the gravy was greasy and almost inedible. Pancakes were just ok.

The room wasn’t as expected. There were a few things not up to expectations. the bathroom vanity needed maintenance, the box springs on the bed were just exposed instead of covered. We felt the small maintenance items and things that make a room look a step above we’re not done. We had made reservations to come and do brunch and found out the morning of our stay that brunch wasn’t in the restaurant AND doesn’t have good reviews since it was moved. We canceled that but would have liked that email prior to the day of.

Exquisite historical building, fabulous decor, fantastic spa, and elegant afternoon tea service (one of the best I’ve experienced )! Fun Cigar and Whiskey bar was like stepping back in time! The room was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable.

This beautiful historical hotel is located right in the heart of downtown Denver within walking distance of shops on the 16th Street Mall and the Denver Art Museum. There is a wider range of food and beverage outlets. Staff were very friendly and helpful and assisted me with my needs and concerns. I loved exploring the different floors of the hotel, including the historical Dr Sun Yat Sen suite.

The bar gets very lively in the evening and you can hear the music in your room. But it all finishes well before 9 pm.

Hardly anything.

The air conditioning was blowing full blast continuously. The room was ice cold . We told the front desk clerk. He said he would send an "engineer " to fix it. This man showed up after midnight, tried to fix it, but could not. So we spent a fitfull night cuddled up in the robes under the blankets. A little after 8:00 AM, another "engineer " knocked on the door, came in and shut the whole unit down. Too liitle, too late. We chose to get up, get some breakfast and leave. A horrible experience. And guess what else? It was our wedding night...spent in a freezing room where my new wife and I were putting on clothes to sleep together, rather than taking them off.

The thermostat did not work in the room, we were cold, we announced it, the master came, opened a piece of the wall and it turned out that the wall was covered with mold on the back side, it was dangerous for health, in our presence this person began to carry out various manipulations with taps, without repairing anything, he offered us to move to another room, if there is such a thing, I cleared my throat, since it was already night and our child and we were tired of moving. We were offered a heater that worked very poorly. As a result, in the morning we and our child caught a cold from the cold. In the morning I demanded a refund due to these inconveniences. I was politely sent to hell. Terrible hotel and staff! The most disgusting impression!

I thought breakfast was included with my package but turned out I got charged for breakfast.

Room was 85 degrees and thermostat was set at 68. Ran ceiling fan entire night with no relief.

Breakfast was very good but expresso machine no t working due to the cold weather and dining room was cold which the staff said had been true for several weeks due to the cold spell and inadequate heat systems..

Auto lobby leak in middle of foyer. cheap current to prevent wind blowing into the lobby. duct tape holding inspection panel in place in the elevator. called about hot water in the room- let the shower run for 5-10 mins was response. Poor bed. Room doors left over from the gold rush and likely provide no fire protection.

The staff was excellent!! Our expectations for the hotel were very much exceeded! The staff went above and beyond to make our wedding night special!!
