The location in the centre of the city and character and history of the hotel is exceptional. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful.

Unfortunately the noise from the entertainment venues just below our room was much higher than we exprected, especially on Friday and Saturday night. We had to wear ear plugs when sleeping and this was not very comfortable or ideal.

Staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We’ll definitely go back next time we are in Cape Town.

Lovely boutique hotel in the center of the city. Area around was vibrant and trendy. Our room was very large and well appointed. Hotel was decorated with a lot of lovely art. Parking was very easy very close to the hotel.

The overnight noise was terrible. Bar noise stopped around 1am, but unfortunately one night there were then car races on the street outside. Turn down service was mid afternoon with lights left on and curtains closed which was a bit strange (and energy wasteful).

Beautiful elegant and spacious rooms, super clean and comfortable. Room service every day. Staff are super kind and extremely helpful!

Some street noise during the weekend (Friday and Saturday night) due to the central location, but the rest of the days it is very quiet!

This is a beautiful old hotel, stayed during the week so not noisy . Great breakfast that caters to those going on tours early morning. Staff customer service very good.

Obviously, the building is stunning. The location can't be beaten in terms of centrality. The beds were the most comfortable we slept in during our SA trip. The amenities in the bathroom were superb, including the hot water in the bath. Breakfast is the 'usual': granola, some fruit and eggs.

We were given a street-side room and were not lucky with a water pipe that burst and needed 24/7 reparation that lasted our entire stay. Although we were given a one-night swap of room (not easy to ask), we hardly slept during our stay. In that sense, we rather had booked ourselves into a backpackers. In case you book this hotel, bring ear plugs or ask for a room on the backside.

Great location. Walking distance from a lot of nice restaurants, bars and cafes. Even the V&A Waterfront is just a nice little walk away. The rooms are very tastefully done up with each of a different colour and vibe.

No room service - not normally an issue, but travelling on my own in Cape Town that would have been good for me.

Top location, very charming hotel, great staff.

When I went facilities like Jacuzzi etc which had been announced as available, were ‘out of order for winter maintenance’, rather strange.

The room was very nice and comfortable. The staff was exceptional, friendly, kind and helpful.

A bit noisy at night,not from music, but from very loud cars and motorcycles racing up nd down the nearby streets.

Great location and a very interesting, historical building. A lot of good restaurants and sights in walking distance, some connected to the hotel. I was a bit concerned about the location and safety of the area since most tourists seem to stay at other areas of the city, but I was extremely happy with my choice. Service is great generally. The room/bathroom were big and comfortable with interesting decor. Although the site mentioned "no parking", there is a parking lot very close by with an agreement with the hotel, which made it very convenient.

Saturday evening was a bit noisy with people outside were talking/yelling out loud until 3 am, perhaps coming out of the bars in the vicinity. Breakfast service was at times spotty - with difficulty finding someone to serve coffee.

The Cape Heritage Hotel is located in a historic building from 1771 and is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. It focuses on art and has rotating artists on display. The courtyard used for breakfast is beautiful and I cannot speak more highly of the staff- they are so friendly, polite and accommodating to all requests. The room was large and extremely comfortable. Location was close to many good restaurants and in a central area, close to the Bo-Kaap neighborhood as well. HIGHLY recommend.

Our room looked out over the back courtyard where a restaurant/bar operates, the noise consistently lasted until 11pm-12am and on the First Thursday of the month it lasted until 2am. We were warned ahead of time (ear plugs in the room!), but it did affect our sleep.

We felt home. Very special place and lovely staff. They kindly arranged a driver / guide for us to show us around in Cape Town. His name is Shuaib. He was extremely knowledgeable, and he drove us to most of the important parts of Cape Town. It was an amazing experience. Made everything very easy for us.

The STAFF need an applause, especially Sam, Hilton and Damford(hope I got his name right), they were so helpful, caring and went over thr top to make sure we were fine and took carw of our needs especially for our little one. The location is a vibe, the courtyard is lovely to to sit during the day or evening to unwind, have a drink ans just chill. Overall a lovely atmosphere and great stay.

Would have been nice to have a good roof top situation, as the Jacuzzi area was not really nice and had clothes drying and stuff.

Always love staying at The Cape Heritage! Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Beautifully decorated rooms, excellent breakfast, safe parking and centrally located.

If we could have stayed longer!

Absolutely superb 6 days at the Cape Heritage Hotel. The room was just divine, and steeped in history. Loved the authentic shutters! Breakfast was also delicious. What makes the hotel truly special is the staff. Such lovely genuine people. A bit shout out goes to Bamford and Sam! Cape Town itself is really interesting. Make sure you take advantage of the free walking tours recommended by the hotel. The hotel is in a great location, which comes with some noise. Especially First Thursday! Nothing a pair of earplugs didn’t sort out! A 5* stay overall. We will be back!!

Quite simply a GEM of a hotel located in an excellent part of Cape Town that has history just ooooozing out of it !! All staff are outstanding, genuinely friendly, warm and welcoming. Always smartly turned out, positive and eager to help, everyone employed here has an obvious pride in what they do. Room was perfect, bed super comfortable, shower strong and plenty of pressure that ensured an invigorating start to the day plus air con worked perfectly. A beach bag with towels, plates and suncream is supplied should you be visiting one of the numerous beaches - a nice touch as is the "thought for the day", weather and info board located in the indoor breakfast room. Breakfast was awesome - great choice plus could sit outside under the vine canopy provided by the oldest documented vine in the southern hemisphere. This hotel forms part of a historic enclosed square, is a stones throw from Bo-Kaap, outstanding restaurants plus a pleasant saunter down Bree Street to the V&A Waterfront. My better half and I were really delighted to have chosen this hotel as our base whilst visiting Cape Town and cannot praise it highly enough.

Heritage building, sympathetic restoration, helpful staff, great breakfasts, good location .

First time returning after 10 years. Let me tell you, it was fantastic. Staff still goes so far to make you feel at home and were helpful with everything. Location is great in a safe street full of nice dining and shopping/tourist spots walking distance.

I only regret booking a different hotel before seeing this place had availability, otherwise I’d have booked this for more nights

Hotel is in a great location near plenty of restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly and helped us during our stay. They were even able to set up a few tables for a business meeting (on short notice from us). I would 100% stay here again.

A beautiful antique hotel in the vibrant heart of Cape Town. An ideal location to soak up the history of the city. In walking distance to shopping areas, markets and fabulous restaurants. The rooms are just breathtaking. Spacious and unique. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. I cannot recommend the Cape Heritage Hotel highly enough....Cape Town's finest. Looking forward to next time.

Location, friendly staff, spacious and clean room.

Location cannot be faulted as hotel situated right in the middle of the city with so many bars and restaurants. Parking easy as adjacent to hotel. Hotel has great character as an old building with period features and really nicely renovated. We even noticed SA tour guides showing tourists the interior. Great choice for breakfast and room was not only roomy but a really comfortable stay. Staff all excellent and always on hand to help with luggage etc.

Beautiful old house in Bree St. in the perfect location! The room was wonderful, had a special atmosphere and was very nice furnished and equipped. The little garden is beautiful and we loved to have our breakfast there!

Street noise level

Rooms were tidy, spacious and well kept with an authentic feel. Staff were extremely welcoming and were more than willing to help if asked.

Very comfortable stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. Each bedroom has a private bathroom. Apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, hairdryer and iron. In the center of Cape Town. Very good wi-fi connection. Great, helpfull staff.

A great hotel centrally located in the city bowl. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel really welcome. The rooms are great and the breakfast in the quaint courtyard was excellent.

The hotel is very beautiful, in a historical location. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area. 3 min walk from the hop on. /hop off buss station. It's full of charm and history. The inside patio was also gorgeus! Perfect for breaksfast or if you just came back from a day of sightseeing. If you are looking for a tour, please ask at the reception for them to organize a tour with Domingo. An amazing human and a very knowleadgeble tour guide. We had an amazing day with him, going to cape point and boulders beach!

Great location in the city, walking distance to the city centre, VA Waterfront and the DHL Stadium and easy access to all the Cape Town trips. The historic hotel was beautflly presented, with great artwork and our room was very spacious with a great bed and super shower. A cute courtyard bar was nice and the breakfast excellent. It was very clean, everything worked, WiFi was good and staff incredibly friendly and helpful.

We loved the property but as stated on the hotel details, it’s a city centre hotel and can be very noisy especially at weekends that could go on to 4am. Bring earplugs (they provide them as well.)

An old world experience, beautifully maintained building. Very comfortable with lovely, helpful staff and excellent breakfast.

We were woken by the bins being emptied at around 0400 every night, as our room was roadside.
