Perfect view of Cairo from the upper floors. Great stuff.

We had a beautiful view on the Nile. The hotel has a beautiful spa and pool which made it relaxing after a long day of visit of the historical sites and the city. The breakfast buffet was stunning. The staff was absolutely amazing, some of the best service I have seen during my travels and I travel extensively. Always extremely polite and accommodating. Incredible really.

My stay was fantastic. The hotel's location is stunning, the room was spacious and comfortable, the view of the Nile was magnificent, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful – a perfect base for exploring Giza and Cairo. The hotel's restaurant along the Nile created a wonderful atmosphere, especially the lighting during dinner. A pleasant surprise in December was the heated outdoor pool overlooking the Nile.

Our stay at Sofitel Cairo Nile El Gezirah was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel truly offers one of the best locations in Cairo, right along the Nile. Every restaurant in the property sits by the river, giving you uninterrupted, stunning views as you dine — a real highlight of our trip. We stayed in a room with a panoramic Nile view, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Sitting on the balcony, watching the sunset over the river, was one of the most memorable parts of our stay. Breakfast was another standout — a generous and well-curated selection of dishes that catered to every taste. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. We travelled to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the hotel went above and beyond by surprising us with a complimentary cake. It was a thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more special. Thank you to the team for that! Check-in and check-out were extremely smooth, and the staff were helpful, warm, and attentive with anything we needed throughout our stay. Without a doubt, if I visit Cairo again, I will only stay at this hotel. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, luxury, and unforgettable Nile views.

3rd time to stay. Well located quit comfortable and clean. Staff were great and helpfull. Breakfast was the best varieties and taste and view.

The hotel is very old. There was a smell in the room; it wasn't a very bad smell but it annoys. The AC was making some noises, not very loud but it frustrates. I think the rooms need to renovated.

The location is the main deal. Literally in the middle of the Nile, so you will get the best view on it.

Shoutout to Sami from reception and Amr from the outdoors restaurant. They both were very professional and extra helpful. I also liked coming back at night to see a beautiful red rose in the toilet ( the little things make all the difference ).

Workers should not ask us boldly to scan a code and recommend their names. If I want, it should happen voluntarily. Have some vegan options in the menu or mark the available vegan options with VG.

We loved everything about our stay at the Sofitel Cairo El Gezirah. The location is absolutely exceptional, right on the Nile River. Evenings spent on the river terrace, watching life along the Nile go by, were truly magical. The service throughout the hotel was flawless – attentive, professional, and welcoming. The Sofitel felt like a sanctuary, a calm retreat from the vibrant energy of Cairo city. It’s also conveniently located, not far from the Pyramids and the new Grand Egyptian Museum. A perfect choice for anyone visiting Cairo – highly recommended!

A truly five star hotel. The best location on the river Nile. The staff and the hotel are 7 stars. Your breakfast are just metres away from the river. Beautiful views and relaxing

None to complain about.

The staff could not do more for you. From the time of arrival to departure, we were treated like royalty. We received a complimentary room upgrade to junior suite which had a view to Nile. The bed was very, very comfortable. Breakfast was first class. We ate dinner at two of the restaurants and again, superb service and delicious food. Staff were never far from you and always checked to ensure everything was okay. On leaving, staff double checked to ensure that our stay was good. Cannot praise reception, wait staff, baggage handlers and all other staff enough for a most pleasurable stay.

Absolute 10 out of 10. 6 Stars service from the Lobby to the concierge to all the fabulous restaurants and cafes to the Famous doorman Youssef, a gentleman of Egypt. We had an absolute ball in Egypt and it was set from our experience at the Sofitel. Definitely will be in our preferred list.

Loved the Nile view . Staff are amazing extremely helpful and friendly, clean professional.

The swimming pool access was not suitable for disability. However the bar area after speaking to management allowed us access which had less steps. There are no ramps at pool area. I did discuss this with management. The staff were more than happy to support you up the steps as their are no hand rails near the access from the bar

I want to thank Shonodah and Zeyad for the amazing welcome and the free upgrade. I usually stay in this hotel since I was young, and it would be difficult to change it because of their quality of service, history of the hotel and the amazing staff. The is a very family hotel.
