Great, unique hotel. Loved the room and location. Breakfast was very good

I think the restaurant could have been better. Service was a little awkward and slow at times

Great rooms and luxurious facilities. Close to lots of attractions. Bonus that you could also get very good food onsite

This property was everything it says it is and MORE! It's clean, comfortable, convenient, and the staff is kind. The food in the restaurant is delicious.

This is probably the best boutique hotel I have ever stayed in . The rooms are amazing , the staff are warm and friendly too. We ate breakfast and dine here too and both were really good. And did I mention that the whole surrounding area looks like a film set …

I am a regular guest at hotel Balthazar, I very much enjoy its location on Buda castle hill and the quietness of the place, the view on Pest. The room decoration is refined and the equipment is 5 stars really. I hope to be back in September again ! ;-)))

Very interesting design

We had a delightful stay at this hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The location was very central and close to all the major attractions. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

Parking situation could be a bit difficult depending on arrival time.

large room with a huge balcony on the top floor, huge bathroom with two sinks, friendly staff. the manager even waived off the charge for alcohol we consumed from the bar. very secluded and quiet location on the Buda Castle hill and yet its only 5 mins from Fisheman's Bastion. there is a bus stop right outside the hotel and can take you to the Pest side.

while we loved the location, some people may not like it as its very quiet and away from restaurants/clubs of Pest side. you will have to go across the river to the other side for more lively scene. this is very much a personal choice.

Very different, nice location in the poche chill area of the city

The BALTAZÁR Boutique Hotel is the place to stay in BudaPest if you want to experience the best of your stay. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the BALTAZÁR team were exemplary. The food we had in the hotel was top class and the team were always very attentive. I do not usually leave reviews for places that i have stayed, but the BALTAZÁR Boutique Hotel, Dániel and the team were up with the best. Thank you and we would definitely stay again.

Quirky, cool hotel. Fabulous rooms, comfortable furnishings. Amazing location for exploring the Buda side … Staff very attentive at all times. Excellent breakfast. Pretty courtyard area.

Bar could stay open longer into the late evening. Would have returned most evenings and had a drink in the pretty outside courtyard but bar closed ! Great pity !

The breakfast was very good - just one "meal" was included in the price but it was totally enough and very good. All hot drinks and fresh juices as much as you want, were included also in the breakfast, that was served outside in the sun. The hotel is located in a very calm and beautiful area of Budapest. A bus station is just one minute from the hotel and the bus brings you in 10/15 minutes to the center. You also can go by foot if you want.

This is a really nice boutique hotel at a fantastic location in the castle district. The room was wonderful: It was big and super clean. The rain shower was really nice and the beds super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious as well!

Just one minor thing and that is that it was not really clear what was included in the breakfast.

Our stay was wonderful - Andras greeted us like long lost friends and all the staff were friendly and so helpful with any queries we had. A totally wonderful experience in a unique hotel in a truly enchanting city.

Breakfast was delicious lots of choice and high standard Hotel was in the middle of the historic area , very close to all the Fisherman’s Bastion and Castle. The Pest side of the city has more shops and restaurants, much livelier and opens later, you can walk to this or take the bus.

Everything was amazing, however the only small issue is there is no bar in the hotel open after 8pm. This may have been because it was March

Everything was great - cozy room and lights, comfortable bed, big window. Really appreciate music device, coffe/tea in the room. The hotel has a central location (close to Buda castle and Fishermans bastion). Nevertheless, it was very quiet.

The hotel is really charming, nicely appointed, clean and quiet. We at breakfasts as well as a couple of dinners in the attached restaurant. Food is great. This area is very walkable, but there’s also a bus stop conveniently located out front where smaller tram-like buses stop every few minutes. The staff were all very warm, gracious and helpful.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and the rooms and decoration of the hotel simply beautiful, all in all perfect!

Reception is closed at night, that makes it a bit more complicated but everything worked put fine, staff makes it up being so friendly.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Loved the location, we could walk up to the castle in the late evening too.

We are vegetarian, and there was not much in the restaurant menu so we could not eat anything in the hotel.

Exceptional place!

Breakfast was good but had to wait a long time to be served & we were the only ones in the restaurant. We knew the menu so didn’t need time to choose every morning.

Speed of service in restaurant. Lighting in bedroom was very poor. It was very cosy and attractive but not much use when trying to get ready to go out at night. (Eg for doing make-up, hair, or even packing. Needed to wait for daylight to pack).

What we liked most in this hotel is a staff on hotel reception. Always welcoming you and trying to help each day. And because hotel is very small, they know all the guests. Cleaning was very good, it doesn’t matter which time you are leaving your room, when you will be back, the room is cleaned. For us it looks like they waiting till you left the room and then immediately start cleaning it. Location is very nice also

What can be better is water pressure in the shower. And if you use shower for some time pressure is even lower. Also level of service during breakfast is not very consistent. Some staff is very good and professional, some not very interested in you and you can wait for a long time to order more.

Baltazar is a lovely, hip comfortable hotel in the Hilly Buda side of Budapest. Quite a walk from the Metro, but we learned more about the environs. 🙂 /also learned to take the 16 bus which stops 1 minute from hotel! The front desk service was excellent, Daniel in particular. Kind and helpful. Had 1 Lunch and 1 dinner at cafe delicious. Room was lovely, comfortable and designed with artistic thought. Coffee/expresso maker in room. Comfortable bed. Great shower. Could see top of Buda Tower (Mary Magdelene) from our window.

Convenient location to things walking wise, short taxi rides to other tourist destinations. The hotel staff also recommended fun, tourist attractions.

The only thing I did not like was on checkout day the front desk employee was running late to assist us with check out, which had us rushing to the airport (40 min cab ride from hotel).

I arrived 9am in the morning and they already get my room ready. That is greatly appreciated after a long journey. The location is perfect. A quiet place within couple minutes walk to the fisherman's castle. The room is spacious. The breakfast offer for hotel guest is reasonable and delicious. You have TV, mini bar, a big bottle of complimentary water, curtain, elevator everything that would make your staying comfortable. They have a reception even though not 24h but good enough for luggage storage if necessary.

Beautiful decorated hotel in a lovely quiet area. The staff were excellent very friendly and helpful . The hotel is extremely comfortable and very relaxing.

The only negative was the price of coffee and drinks in the hotel. It was expensive which was a pity as the outside seating area was lovely and we would have used it more if drinks were more affordable.

The hotel was small and quirky . Great location near transport but out of the hassle and bustle . Great rooms clean and interesting . The beds were comfortable and super clean . Nice sheets and pillows . The staff were friendly and efficient and we were given a lovely arrival as it was our anniversary . Sonia was really great sorting things out for us . The bus stop is right near the hotel and the bolt taxi app meant getting taxis was easy .

Very chic boutique hotel. Great location for all things Buda. Staff of hotel, bar and restaurant were all friendly. Very short walk to castle. Parked car easily even during holiday.

It’s a really unique hotel with a great location, perfect for 1-2 nights in Budapest. The staff is friendly and helpful, breakfasts are delicious. Truly amazing experience for our whole family.

We loved everything.

Camera: the room has good sound and thermal insulation, it is wide with large windows. Restaurant: good and tasty food on restaurant á la carte. We appreciated the coffee maker and the kettle for tea.

The only non-functional thing was the bluetooth media speaker.

The hotel decor is unique and fun, very luxurious! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spotless, spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything we needed. Good breakfast selection, delicious food at a reasonable price. Location is good for public transport routes.

The bar closes quite early, but there are plenty of other options near by.

The hotel is absolutely amazing. Staff is very helpful, rooms are exceptional, everything is very comfortable and clean. We are staying in this hotel constantly and it's one of our most favourite in the whole Europe. ⭐️

Extremely limited breakfast for the breakfast included. 2 croissants, a juice and a hot drink, which left me breakfast-less since I do not eat croissants. Unless you pay for something else of course.

Perfect stay. Loved the location in the quieter area up on Buda Castle. Comfy beds, spacious rooms, nice decor, good aircon and all the facilities you need. Friendly staff.

Some might find it quite cut off and not very accessible (up a hill), but others - like us - might really value this. There are buses up though. No real grocery shops around. Restaurant was okay but pricey - roasted aubergine was lovely though.

The location is a historic neighborhood so it's beautiful. The staff is very friendly. Room is big. Overall beautiful interiors.

Main issue was the uncomfortable Mattress and bedding. We stayed for 3 nights but they didn't renew room coffee pods.

An absolutely wonderful hotel, will be sure to stay again when in Budapest. The building, the area, the team - everything is spot on.

I liked everything. No facilities like a gym or a pool. But it was funky and fun.

Excellent location in beautiful historic Buda - super quiet and you can hang out on the western wall with the locals, but just a couple blocks from the more touristed area of historic Buda. Super quiet and beautiful. Great bus that goes right into Pest side is literally across the cobblestone street from the hotel. Just get BudaGo app and you're set. We had a beautiful view from our 4th floor room. Also - the Baltazar Bistro is one of The Best restaurants in Buda. They have a grill that does amazing duck legs and steaks and everything we had there the two nights we ate at their restaurant were fabulous. They also recommended Pest Buda restaurant that is related to theirs - incredible for Hungarian specialties. Also the continental breakfast that was included -croissants and cappuccino and preserves in the morning - were perfect. And weather-permitting you can eat outside with a gorgeous view. Inside dining was beautiful as well a choice of two rooms to sit in.

I didn't want to diminish my rating since I loved it so much and the entire staff were truly so exceptionally nice - but the hot water for showers was a bit unreliable on our 4th floor. When I mentioned it they offered to switch the room but we declined so that's on us (Thank you Daniel!)

Very comfortable, silent and beautiful room with lovely scents. Perfecty clean everywhere. Every detail is well designed and made of precious materials. The staff is lovely and very helpful. Bar has great selection, breakfast is more than enough. Location is very good, you can reach everything easily with public transport, bus stop is opposite.

The restaurant offers correct food but the price-value ratio of wine selection is definitely bad.
