Cepik Villa Sidemen, Bali

If you want a quiet hotel, away from the noise of lots of other people, then Cepic Villa is your place. There are 2 Rice Paddies rooms. We loved watching the daily activities of the 2 people working in the rice fields from our room. Our room & bathroom was private and spacious. The staff could speak good English and were most helpful with renting scooters as well as doing our laundry.

We arrived at 2:30 in the morning after 17+ hours of traveling, so we were very tired. The concierge warmly greeted us and carried our luggage to our room. He was very professional and understood that we were very tired so he kept our intro short and to the point for what we needed right then.

This little hotel was just outstanding. We stayed for 5 nights as we had booked a number of activities through the hotel and due to availability of the rooms we ended up staying at least one night in each of the 3 rooms they offer. All 3 rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The rice terrace and sunset suite rooms in particular were just breathtaking. Beautiful bathrooms and stunning views. The air conditioners in each room worked very well too. The grounds were so well maintained and the staff were so on top of things. It rained for over 24 hours straight while we stayed and a section of the garden flooded. Within the hour they had dug a trench to move water away and had put stepping stones in so guests wouldn’t get their feet wet. 2 days later the trench had been filled in and made so neat you could hardly tell it had been dug out a day or so prior. All the staff were lovely. They greeted us each morning by name in the restaurant and asked about the activity we had planned that day. Each one had a smile on their face and a hello or good morning/afternoon as we passed. The food… OMG so so delicious, beautifully presented and made with local ingredients. The breakfasts were among the best I’ve ever had and they had a lot of vegan options which was so nice for me as I can’t have dairy. The hotel was so quiet with gorgeous views from the rooms, pool, and restaurant. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. My partner and I had the most wonderful time here and were sad to leave. Cepik Villa is a peaceful oasis, nestled in the Rice Fields. All of the staff are kind and welcoming. If you want to enjoy some peace and quiet, this is perfect. Plenty to do in the area, cooking classes and silver making are both excellent and they will pick you up and return you to villa.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and restaurant have great views and good food. Particularly enjoyed the breakfasts that came with the booking. The pool also has amazing views and was very refreshing after a warm day

Incredible views from the rooms and dining area, especially at dusk when the lights surrounding start to come on. Couldn’t imagine a more picturesque experience.

It is situated at the bottom of a very steep road which we didn’t mind at all, but if you’re not up for walking you may like to consider renting a scooter or driver. Also worth noting that this accommodation doesn’t yet offer taxis or transfer into the “main area” of town.

Friendly staff, great room, beautiful view. restaurant was delicious just a little off the main area but we hired scooters so it was fine. I am going back to this place it was beautiful. They also provided a filtered water jug in the room for drinking so we didn't have to buy loads of plastic water bottles

It wasn’t the hotel’s fault but where the business they give guest laundry to use too much fabric conditioner and I could hardly wear my clothes from the strong smell.

We loved our room with glorious high and wide views of surrounding hills and farmland. We loved waking up to views from the bed of lush green quite Bali The dining area was so lovely that we ate dinners in more than we anticipated. The view from the breakfast/dining area was sensational.

The staff were wonderful. Customer Service at it's best. On arrival we weren't just shown to our room we were given a tour and everything was explained to us. We were greeted at the restaurant with complimentary Rosella Juice which was a lovely surprise. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We ordered room service on a couple of occasions and couldn't fault any of the food. Loved the smoothie bowls and all breakfasts on offer. Room was incredibly spacious - we were in the rice terrace room and the view was memorable and picturesque. We used a private driver organised by the Cepik Villa and also did their organised tours - 3hr rice field trek and the cooking class both which were excellent. We loved that it wasn't over crowded so you receive more personalised service with limited number of rooms available.

Would be great to have an onsite taxi that can drive you to local places. Cepik Villa is located at the bottom of the hill and it's a good 30 minute walk to Sidemen town centre. It is a very steep walk even to the closest warungs so if you are unfit we suggest considering hiring a scooter - we wish we did.

Lovely view from the room, staff were lovely- Wayan was wonderful, Emmie an excellent masseuse. The Ogoh Ogoh parade was awesome!

We stayed in the sunrise villa and it was MAGNIFICENT. The surroundings were beautiful and we felt real luxurious.

The food in the restaurant was not really good and they were out of stock for a lot of items.

There were a lot of insects in the restaurant, but it could not be helped because the restaurant was located outside. Other nearby restaurants are in the same situation.

We had the pool villa. The door is a bit old and close very difficult. It’s getting very fast hot inside because the door is not properly closing. The bathroom is getting fast wet and a bit smelly because a window is missing.

Sideman is a hidden gem in East Bali. This small hotel offers pretty nature and authentic experience. The rooms are big and bright, breakfast is fine.

Keep in mind that you'll have visitors in the room like ants, gecos because the door and windows aren't really isolated. Mosquitos weren't an issue, but bring repelent and the electrical socket repelent is also useful. Sadly, we forgot ours in the room :)

Wow, what a place to stay in Sidemen. The best accomodation we stayed in for our whole trip. I have a bit of a rule of thumb when travelling in Bali that every place you stay in there will be 'something' wrong with it, it will never be as good as the photos, so as to set expectations and not get disappointed. But this place proved me wrong – it was perfect, and better than I'd expected. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay in Bali and escape the overcrowded touristy hotspots, Sidemen is a dream and this place is just what you need. The pool is so tranquil, the staff are the loveliest, the food at the restaurant is delicious. We will definitely be coming back!

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and relaxing place in the nature. We stayed here for 3 nights and visit the east of Bali.

Lots of humidity in this area of Bali, you feel it a lot in the room. The house where we slept was really nice on the outside, but needs an inside refreshment. Not much choice for breakfast.

There was nothing about my stay that I didn't like.

We were fortunate enough to stay in the best room available. It had the most stunning views of the mountains and rice paddy fields. The suite was exceptionally private and very spacious with a huge canopy bed. The bathroom was deluxe and had the same amazing views as the bedroom.

There was a problem with out air conditioning which was resolved when reported.

Outstanding villa! The room was high standard, very clean, comfy bed it really felt 5 star and the view was remarkable. Delicious restaurant offering vegan and vegetairian options using high quality ingredients and room service available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wish we could of stayed longer. Thank you Cepik Villa!!

The hotel is nothing but amazing. Myself and my mum stayed for couple nights. It was our first few nights in Bali and it was the best decision to begin holiday in such relaxing atmosphere. Our rice terrace suite was clean and spacious, bed was comfy and breakfast was superb. Tranquility and surroundings are just hypnotizing,.. Staff is extraordinary... From the moment we have arrived we felt very welcome. Everybody is very warm and kind and always with big smiles on the face. We also booked a traditional massage. Not only it was great, it was done under open sky while listening to nature sounds. Sky illuminated by super blue moon was a bonus too! I would most certainly stay in Cepik Villa next time when visiting Sidemen :)

Big room with big bed. Great Pool with a view. Amazing and helpful staff. Would recommend to use it for maximum 2-3 days.

Food was mediocre. Breakfast was good, but dinner and lunch - very simple. Location is beautiful but no activities besides resting by the pool.

This hotel is gorgeous. I was only staying for one night and I wish I could have stayed longer. It overlooked the rice fields and had an amazing restaurant where I had the best nasi goreng ever. My room overlooked the rice terraces and was so comfortable - it was the best night sleep I’ve had for my whole month of travelling. Real luxury!

The ambience, the gardens, the views were amazing. It was peaceful and relaxing, only the frogs and geckos at night- so lovely. The staff were lovely and helpful and the food at the restaurant that looked over the gardens and hills,was really tasty and beautifully presented. Beautiful hotel, set in beautiful scenery The food at the hotel was fine, breakfast to order was lovely. There is a strip of Warungs 5 mins walk from the hotel to enjoy, I read some reviews that said there was nothing nearby but it's a quieter area and there is. Staff were lovely

Beautifully maintained properly overlooking rice terraces. We stayed 4 nights in the sunrise suite and it was spacious and comfortable.

The a/c wasn’t working properly in our room so sometimes felt a little warm. Also, the food at the resort restaurant was just okay so outside of breakfast which was included, we ate at other nearby restaurants.

It was a very beautiful villa. We had booked the rice terrace suite for our honeymoon. The suite was very specious and beautiful. It had a hot bathtub as well. The rice terrace view from the balcony was also very amazing.

The food was really bad. I had ordered a vegetable club sandwich and it was not edible at all. It was terrible in taste. The location is also not very accessible for taxis from mainland. The local Grab and Gojek will not work here. So if you are planning to stay here, better make arrangements for your return car in advance. The hotel arranges cars for your return, but they will charge you 30 USD for a return trip. They also have a tell us in advance policy, so if you want to avail any services like breakfast, dinner or return car, you'll need to inform them one day prior. This seemed like a very strange policy. Not sure why they do it.

Lovely spacious rooms and a quiet property. Only a small number of rooms, which makes it feel very private. Nice pool, great views of the rice fields. The restaurant was excellent, some of the best food we had in Bali! The staff were very helpful in arranging transportation, activities, massages, etc. We had a lovely stay.
