Parking way too expensive

Charged for item I did not purchase

Location was great

I booked a twin room with two queen beds on booking.com. The hotel reserved a double bed for my son and I. I was given the option of a roll out bed or a cancellation. Check in service was poor and content to simply blame booking.com. I asked for a “one night solution” it was getting late after a 10hour flight, In the end I had a last minute scramble to book the Westin. Historic hotel visit the bar to enjoy the grand architecture - stay somewhere with 21st century service.

My six year old granddaughter was with me and she was so impressed with the service. I love so excited in nature.

We had oatmeal for breakfast. It was very appetizing and runny also very expensive for what we received.

The customer service this place provides was next level in conjunction with the haunted atmosphere of this place was a whole vibe “chefs kiss”

Loved the amazing architecture, history of the Driskill was amazing, staff was amazing.

The only downside for me was the area in which it's located. Everything I frowned upon was out of Driskill control, parking, traffic, construction, and homelessness.

The location- the bar with live music( although not every day) - the bakery

Room was dark and no view- some area’s need cleaning ( eg bathroom ceiling)

No swimming pool

Loved the breakfast. Hated the noice and homeless people on 6th street

The ambience and location of the hotel was fantastic. Room was comfortable and.clean.

The plug on the basin was faulty but other than that everything was good.

They need to add the daily happy hour entertainment in the Lounge. Everyone likes it!!!

It’s grandeur!! We felt very special to call the Driskill home for a few days!!

It's the first time I see a Hyatt hotel or 5 starts without breakfast. Unbelievable. You must wait in the queue of a coffee near the hotel to get your breakfast. No restaurant in the hotel as well. For me it's not a 5 starts hotel at all!

the first day they didn't make our room. So we didn't have fresh towels, coffee, water, etc. We called so they made it the next day and it was poorly cleaned. They didn't even replenish coffee and carton cups.

Close to concert venue - Paramount.

Bar was amazing staff especially friendly and helpful

A little expensive

The staff was very responsive. We appreciate the provision of a small fridge as we had several nights stay, and coffee and water were provided daily. The facilities are top notch and beautiful. The Christmas tree and decorations were impressive and the smell of fir trees greeted you when you entered, and there was lovely music daily.

Our AC broke in the room, but they fixed it and put us in another room very quick

Coffee bar/ casual restaurant was very slow. Faster to go around the corner to Royal Blue to get coffee.

The hotel lobby, bar and restaurants were excellent. Lovely place to visit and have a meal or a drink.

The rooms themselves felt cheap relative to the price. The bathroom was closer to what you would find at a motel than a top hotel. They seem to have skimped on the toilet paper, towels, coffee machine, etc. Very few amenities available. The doors to the hallway are not well-insulated and the walls are paper-thin so you can hear other guests. The WiFi signal was poor in the rooms, only worked well in the lobby.

Incidentals like valet parking are high etc. Room had a view of an alley looking into the building across the street.

Wonderful facility. good staff

The noise. Facing 6th Street, I expected noise until 2:00. It continued until 3:00 echoing from within the hotel.

Breakfast was great but overpriced. Location fine except for the fact there is a serious homeless problem in Austin. I know that's not the hotels fault but it dampened the experience.

Tell local government to help the homeless and clean up downtown. A concierge desk would be nice instead of having to wait with people checking in or out .

We had to come back the next weekend but the Driskill required a two night minimum stay and we only wanted one night so we went elsewhere.
