The Ellis Hotel, Atlanta

The hotel itself was great! Staff was friendly, and helpful.

There is no parking. We parked in public parking for one night (within view of the hotel). Our car window was smashed even though nothing was in our car. Would not stay again due to having to use public parking.

The bed was hard, the shower had low pressure, and our view sucked.

Staff where very friendly especially the ladies in the coffee shop. Parking was only steps away from the door super easy. Location was great we walked to all the attractions with ease. We loved our stay. Will definitely be there again.

We were on the 5th Floor. We chose The Ellis because of the paranormal aspect and the history. The Ellis was the hotel that had the most deaths in a hotel fire in the history of America; over 119 people perished in the hotel. Yet there needs to be a memorial or history section of the hotel. The souls are but forgotten. The fire was so destructive that it instilled FIRE and BUILDING CODES. I think some kind of recognition should be given to those that lost their lives.

Overall the hotel felt dirty. The rooms were humid and stuffy, the valet was way overpriced, and it took forever to give the car to the Valet. This is a MARRIOT; I expect a little bit better service for the price.

Everything. This place is a great. Clean, updated, super comfortable beds. The staff is top notch. They have a mini store on site with essentials plus some.

The only thing and understandable to some extent was their bistro. They are short staffed which bc of the employee having an emergency they had to close early.

Front desk was very helpful

Check-in and check out was seamless. LJ, the wonderful woman who was at the front desk, was always smiling and welcoming when I returned. The lobby smelled like clean linen and my king bed was so comfortable.

Like most hotels, I wish that there were some more firm pillows for the people who struggle with the very plush and cloudy pillows. The hotel's location on Peachtree street can be very active with homeless, but the hotel locks up religiously after hours.

Amazing location! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with places to eat and anything we asked! We had our infant granddaughter and goddaughter with us and they were so accommodating!

Nothing…well maybe the Starbucks could serve Frappes but that’s it! 😊

The people at the reception were nice. Apart from that location is okay, it was my first time in ATL and didn’t know downtown wasn’t the place to be…. Due to covid (March 2022) they did not offer room cleaning.

my room wasn’t rdy an I arrived well after checking time an still had to wait a hour for my room then we get the room trash was still on the floor towels still hanging in the bathroom an wasn’t allowed to enjoy the balcony

Clean, friendly staff, valet parking

The hotel is located in walking distance to the State Farm Arena. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They were able to offer information about the area and Atlanta in general. The room I had was small but it didn’t matter because we were out and about most of the day and night so all we really needed was a clean bed and clean bathroom with hot water to shower, both were delivered. I would definitely stay again.

The restaurants in the hotel are closed but there are several options within walking distance. There is only public parking or valet parking. Kinda bummy not to have free hotel parking.
