This new hotel is a worthy addition to the ever-increasing trend of boutique hotels located in one of the most vibrant and dynamic cities in America, The Ellis Hotel lives up to the high expectations expected of it. It is situated 600m from the Union Station, 350 m from The Tabernacle, and five blocks from the Georgia Aquarium CNN Centre and a close distance to the city center itself. All these make the hotel an excellent location.
This hotel holds the distinction of being the only boutique hotel in Downtown, Atlanta. With the new renovations made recently, the hotel is now an impressive sight to behold and an equally, satisfying hotel to stay. As a part of the Atlanta skyline, the hotel is an impressive building on its own due to the sleek design and architecture.
The Terrace Restaurant offers a light but delicious dinner menu that would ensure that guests have the best nightcap after a long day. The restaurant features an outside balcony that overlooks Peachtree Street meaning guests have a beautiful view while enjoying their meal. Guests will also enjoy regular morning coffee in the lobby intended to help them start their day on a good note.

I love the access to the street walk, it was convenient for night life.
The extra parking fees, and having to pay $50 damage fee even though it’s refundable. Those fees are hidden.

Cute hotel, not worth the price due to no parking.
The hotel itself was great! Staff was friendly, and helpful.
There is no parking. We parked in public parking for one night (within view of the hotel). Our car window was smashed even though nothing was in our car. Would not stay again due to having to use public parking.

Lacking History and Cleanliness
We were on the 5th Floor. We chose The Ellis because of the paranormal aspect and the history. The Ellis was the hotel that had the most deaths in a hotel fire in the history of America; over 119 people perished in the hotel. Yet there needs to be a memorial or history section of the hotel. The souls are but forgotten. The fire was so destructive that it instilled FIRE and BUILDING CODES. I think some kind of recognition should be given to those that lost their lives.
Overall the hotel felt dirty. The rooms were humid and stuffy, the valet was way overpriced, and it took forever to give the car to the Valet. This is a MARRIOT; I expect a little bit better service for the price.

My stay was great and met most of our needs
Walking distance to so many places in downtown ATL! I loved not having to call an Uber
