Very cool art deco hotel, awesome staff, really nice rooms, but if you stay in room 507 look up its sinister history 😉

The shop next door is sketchy, nothing to do with the hotel, just don’t go there at night, Drink prices where extremely steep unnecessary

Neighborhood is not the greatest.

Hotel itself is old fashioned but very nice. Everyone of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Only issue was the coffee maker in our room. It was filthy so we didn’t use it.

Very close to the university campus

The over all atmosphere of the hotel was great love the art deco feel. The staff was good, we enjoyed the restaurant and bar, very good good.

Mainly the pillows and bathroom sink size in the room.

Booked a day in advanced based primarily on location and price. We’re totally surprised by the charm of the property. Took advantage of the free shuttle. Kudos to the bar for excellent cocktails. Had coffee in the Starbucks and a great breakfast burrito to go.

The bed,sheets and pillows were comfy. The whirlpool was amazing. Hotel staff was extremely courteous. We had a great time.

The TV wouldn't stay on it would work for bout 10 to 20 mins then lose signal.

The bed was wonderful and bathtub nice and deep. Floor was clean. Bed linens lovely and spotless. Towels soft and thick. The windows opened for fresh air; such a nice thing to be able to do. The decor at this hotel is just so cool. We didn't have time to visit the bar this trip, but it's been great on other visits.

I realize finding staff to clean hotel rooms is a challenge post-covid and with immigrants being threatened (April 2025) so the cleanliness was imperfect, but not awful. Stains on a couch cushion were not nice. Walls had a few marks and some wall-paper was peeling in bath area. The frig had a sign that said removing things would auto-deduct money, but there was actually nothing in the frig (I prefer that anyhow as I am always needing cooling space). TV kept coming back on - very odd. I finally turned off power strip.

Having a shuttle is the most excellent service. The beds were clean and comfortable. The staff, above all else, was super friendly, warm, friendly, outgoing, and willing to help

Coffee in room could be more. Hate those single cream packets. Not enough tp in the bathroom, that's a small remedy. The tv wouldn't turn off, and I couldn't understand why.

We loved the history and the and accessibility was very good. Food great! Used the shuttle to see a show and worked out perfectly!

Carpeting is older and worn slightly but it is still okay.

The experience was fantastic and amazing. I can’t complain about anything as we were treated with such great enthusiasm and care. The people at the front desk took care of us even though the craziness that was happening around the hotel due to convention and what.

Loved the proximity to The Rave! It's just across the street! Worked out great for a concert!

I loved the old time feel of this place. The room as roomy and comfortable with everything we expected! Bonus was being directly across the street from the concert we were attending!

I wish there had been continental breakfast. I am also disappointed that we had to pay for parking. The room was not cheap, and I feel parking should be included.

Just a nice classic old hotel. Great brunch with good attentive, friendly staff the bar keep was talented friendly and very helpful.

The room size, cleanliness, bar, and staff were all really nice.

Location to everything

The service was excellent, the staff were attentive and helpful. The complimentary shuttle was also absolutely convenient. The property had everything a traveler may need, from restaurant, bar and parking.

This is my second time staying at the Ambassador. We were heading to the Rave to see Steve Aoki, so staying at the Ambassador was a must. This hotel never disappoints. From the staff to the room, excellent! Comfie beds and those pillows .... delightful. Love Gin Rickey, who has the best bartender, hands down!! Can't forget the Deco Cafe! Had breakfast before we left in the morning, delicious! And the staff at Deco Cafe were just a delight. Another great stay!

The food and bar is expensive. Don't like the mini fridge in rooms, luckily this time it was a normal fridge.

The room was excellent and worth every penny !! We had an amazing time and the hot tub in the room made it even more fun . Excellent service by the staff and they offer free travel bus within 3 miles to go and do some sightseeing in Milwaukee as well ‘

They were having issues with the elevator when we were there. It a huge fan of lugging my luggage up 3 floors.
