Hotel NoMad, Los Angeles

The room was lovely, especially the bathtub/bathroom. Loved the style. The staff was friendly and helpful. I loved the decor of the hotel, top to bottom.

The food was sub-par. Our dinner was nothing special--pork chop dry, vegetables undercooked, neither was sauced or spiced, very bland. At breakfast, when I asked for jam for my croissant, they brought a bowl of those little plastic packets of Smucker's Grape Jelly. Likewise the half and half: in little plastic packets. At a hotel as nice as this one, I'd expect a small bowl of decent jam and cream in a little pitcher. I don't mind the packets in general--just not at a hotel like this for this price point. The cocktails were good.

we received room on 2nd floor (just because we have booked on booking?) well, there were many more higher floors available, I do not think the hotel was full of guests. The windows on the room were dirty as hell. Bad experience for a hotel of such a big price level. Anyway the hotel is too expensive for what it offers. The lady at the reception at the check-in was not very pleasant.

I like the beauty of the hotel and the staff was very professional and welcoming. Usually I don't write reviews but I slept very well there and needed some rest so thank you!

Beautiful interior, great service

The toilet was not flushed when we checked into our room and someone had gone to the bathroom. The lid was down so it probably wasn’t checked by the cleaning staff

Very clean and spacious; old rustic charm with a modern twist. The tub is amazing! and the rooftop is so cool with a warm pool. Downstairs has the cutest bar and dinning area.

No downside

The room was exactly as described and it looked in the pictures. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. I enjoyed taking a bath in the tub. It was quiet at night. The bar in the lobby had great drinks. The bartender (Mike?) was very nice. I was sad it was raining so did not get to enjoy the roof top pool or the bar.

No bath bubbles available to take bath. Valet parking is pricey. Would be nice to have self-parking. Unable to cast to TV- need to upgrade to smart TV.

Room 602

The building is a historical gem in the center of downtown with easy access to the best shops and restaurants. The renovation is totally luxe -- they were able to preserve some of the most unique details from the time period (including a really cool bank vault you walk through to get to the restrooms in the basement... a *must see*!) as well as beautiful dining areas and rooms. We had a huge bathtub in our suite which felt like a NYC apartment -- wrap around windows and a living room, too. Wifi was strong so we could work from the room with ease and the staff were so incredibly kind and helpful. We left feeling like family!

Very comfortable bed. Loved having the little loveseat and table in my room. Bathroom was small but well equipped and appreciated the step-in shower instead of a tub. The shampoo and body wash were delightful.

The light switches can be confusing and the light right by the door was out, or I just didn't figure out how to turn it on. Not a fan of the mini-bar, would prefer an empty fridge for my own items.

We had to evacuate due to the fires, and stayed at Per La for the night. The staff were so sweet and accommodating, especially through such a tough time where they also had their families at home to worry about. Was so grateful for them and their hospitality.

That I didn't stay longer.

The A/C in the rooms is not the best

Although expensive, this Hotel was beautiful, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The bed and especially the pillows were like sleeping in a cloud sculpted to my body. I seriously thought about taking a pillow home with me if I knew I could get away with it.

The cost, the fact that my car was so far away and had to pay for valet parking every night I stayed and had to have the car driven up to the hotel in order for me to get anything I needed from the car.

DTLA is sketchy but this hotel was worth it.

The only complaint is that our phone didn't work and I couldn't order the bananas foster pancakes from room service!

Wonderful hotel in DTLA. Walking distance to Metro, Pershing Square, Disney Music Hall, Jewelry District. Bed was very comfortable, room was well decorated and cozy. Restaurant and rooftop bar were wonderful (especially bartender Victor). Staff was friendly and helpful. Valet parking was steep but we were able to find street parking or nearby paid lots. It is in a wonderful old building with so much character. Only words to the wise: this is a downtown location so street residents are present. My husband and I had no problems whatsoever and will return and send friends here.

It did get a little bit noisy over night.

Destination fee is a steal. They force you to spend 35 dollar plus tax each day (even on your check in day, when you can arrive late). This just leaves bad taste in your mouth. It would be much more fair if it would be included in the room price. Pool is a bit small and gets crowded. Furniture is not the nicest around the pool.

This hotel is gorgeous! The restaurant is beautiful. They also have a rooftop patio, pool, bar/cafe. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated.

The only problem was the noise from the elevator. Our room was directly across from the elevator and the dinging was pretty constant. I would suggest they not have the sound on. I would request a room farther from the elevator next time.

The building and the interior design are everything! Rooms are quite small, but well furnished. Thank you so much Kate, for your assistance and kindness during our stay. Great bar, great food.

The complimentary dessert which is included in daily resort fee was not I expected. Dissapointed in that for sure.

The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown. Received a complementary welcome drink (bottle of champagne) at check-in in addition to free coffee and pastry vouchers valid for each night of our stay, as well as daily $35 credit vouchers to use toward breakfast/lunch/dinner at the restaurant on the property. Valet parking is available which is a lovely accommodation to offer at smaller boutique hotels as many of them don’t. The staff were just absolutely lovely and so welcoming.

The time it took to get my car from Valet was a bit long considering the steep price ($66/night). The lot they park at is 3-4 blocks from the hotel according to the staff members. You can request valet from the comfort of your room using a QR code and they text you when your vehicle is almost ready. I requested valet twice during my stay. The first request was made at 3:30 pm and my vehicle didn’t arrive till around 4:12pm (40 mins). The second request I made was around 8:45am on a Saturday and it took about 25ish minutes. If you have a tight schedule and need to be somewhere at a specific time during your stay, I highly recommend self parking.

Centrally located in downtown LA.

Hotel allows non guests from the neighborhood as well as other hotels to use the pool. Can be overcrowded Friday and Saturday. As a paying guest we found it difficult to find pool seating as well as food service. Servers tended to wait on large groups (non guests) first and would bypass us even with menus in our hands.

The location if you want to explore different areas of Los Angeles. The rooftop pool is a really big plus.

It's beautiful hotel, I can't say it's not. But it's not worth the price

For the paid price, I would have expected a bigger room or breakfast included at least.

On our second day we were told that the bars restaurants and pool would be closed the whole day!! So unfortunately , we were unable to use the hotel facilities for 24 hours of our stay . No refund offered !!

Pool area

We had to leave the hotel for full day during our stay, as they were filming promotional material. We had no access to pool, dining room. The purpose of our trip was relaxing around the pool, which we couldn’t do. Disappointed.

The bed and shower are perfect as well as the size of the room. The pool was nice as well as the drinks and restaurant.

The location of the hotel is near a lot of homeless people and far away from most tourist attractions. Staff should be more friendly, especially during checkout.

Downtown LA isn’t for everyone lol but we like it

Beautiful property with wonderfully friendly staff.

The room we were given was only ok. It was right next to the housekeeping closet so it was very noisy during the day. And the bathroom door squeaked horribly, which is a really easy fix and yet somehow housekeeping had not taken care of it. Our view was also of other rooms - we were close enough to just see right into other people’s rooms.

Room was really nice and something special. Restaurant highly recommendable.

High price for valet parking

Really quirky yet beautifully decorated room with awesome view out into the city. The rooftop pool is spectacular and worth the price of a stay on its own! Dodger stadium a 30 minute walk away - beat the traffic!

The rooftop bar was not open during the first afternoon I was there.

1) The restaurant in the hotel is really good. Very delicious. 2) The hotel is pretty overall, the room is fine. 3) Full-size mirror always a plus! 4) Pretty nice rooftop! Very cute to take pictures. 5) Greeting was nice. Welcome drink and lots of perks!

1) Small room. 2) Downtown location. I would prefer to stay in some other area closer to main attractions. But if you specifically looking for that area, it’s a good choice.

Every interaction with the staff was met with friendly smiles and a genuine desire to make my stay unforgettable.

The bar and restaurant are lovely. Staff in both were very friendly. Also the valet staff was friendly.

Our room was very small, cramped. Also, the upholstery on the loveseat was not clean. The hotel parking is really expensive, especially when you add in tips to the valets for retrieving your car to go anywhere. The rooftop bar closed early each of the three nights we were there. Perhaps because it was in February?

Fantastic hotel with the beautiful decor! The room was spacious and comfortable. The location is amazing with a metro station just 5 mins away. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I really recommend this hotel!

Decorated so beautifully and architecturally preserved with lots of care and style. The whole property exudes so much charm with quaint and quirky design surroundings. Lots of very good eateries and bars within walking distance.
