amazing building, great food

it was closed half of our stay because hotel rents the facility to events….. in my opinion it shouldn’t close for residents.

The whole property was lovely and I’m looking forward to another visit. The artwork throughout was brand the bars and pool were great

We liked all of it. Next time, I’ll book a room with a slightly larger bathroom.

Hotel staff are very helpful and nice. My credit card didn’t work, and they helped me to settle deposits and payment using cashing.

Tiny noises going here and there all night.

Hotel Perla is an absolutely gorgeous space, everywhere you look there are intricate details with a vintage charm. Our room was absolutely gorgeously decorated, every inch of the space was beautiful, the people were friendly, and it was a great location too!

There is a bathroom somewhere in the lobby close to the front desk, so there is a persistent humid smell of minty hand soap barely covering up the smell of people “dropping the kids off at the pool” if you know what I mean. If that weren’t the case the hotel would be absolutely perfect

Services were top notch; from valet, desk services and breakfast. The room size is just right.

The hotel is amazing, great room, clean, confortable and nice view from the rooftop. The staff at reception are very kind. You also get a 35USD voucher each day to use during your stay.

Beautiful! The details and comfort was enjoyable. Staff were friendly and made our stay special. Many thanks to Jeff for the tour, and thanks to the valet team for the restaurant recommendations. We definitely recommend and would stay again.

Though we were on the 12 floor, (1203) we didn't have much of a city view, as was in the description. Our room faced a brick building, so there wasn't a view at all.

Beautifully styled and decorated. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was quite good (we tried the breakfast and lunch menus). An elevated experience all around.

There was quite a bit of noise from one of the clubs below on the weekend, though I’m sure that’s hard to avoid anywhere in DTLA.

I was not served at the poolside bar despite waiting 1/2 hour. $35 per day obligatory credit in hotel. Location has many homeless people.

Booked 4 rooms for a girls’ quick weekend road trip. Comfortable beds, great amenities, clean rooms. Staff are all friendly and accommodating. It’s in the thick of downtown so make sure you are familiar with what that entails before booking. For us the location was convenient. They were throwing a day party on the rooftop that Sunday we arrived so the pool was pretty full but we enjoyed the music. Overall we loved our stay and look forward to booking again.

Several different room types on each floor meant we couldn’t all reserve rooms near each other, but this wasn’t much of an issue.

This hotel is beautiful and in a great location - we were worried about the reputation that Downtown LA has but we found the area to be reasonably quiet but close to lots of great bars and restaurants. The rooms are beautiful, beds are comfy and there was even a jazz band playing on the rooftop at night - highly recommend!

I liked everything!

Bed was very comfortable, and the staff very nice. Hotel decor is very pretty. The area where is located gives you the chance ti move around LA if you’re there on vacations.

During the night I wouldn’t walk alone around the hotel. The sidewalk around the hotel wasnt very clean

The hotel was lovely, and the pool exceeded our expectations - was even nicer than the photos! The room was a little small but beautifully decorated, and even had a bluetooth speaker. We ate in the restaurant one night which was great. Would definitely return.

Queues were quite slow at reception when you needed something. Have taken a significant amount of holding fee of my debit card when I'd already paid via Booking.com. DTLA is obviously DTLA so safety wise, it's in an area where you need to have your street smarts with you. Coming back into the hotel was a little Slice of heaven.

Hotel and pool was nice. Downtown is not touristic, a lot of homeless people. You have to use private transportaion like car or taxi... On the rooftop its very nice...

I think the deposit you can use well for drinks on the bar or in the restaurant, but maybe it would happen otherwise too. Dont know if its needed...

Pool and hotel itself beautiful and staff were very helpful and friendly

Food at the restaurant was completely average and overpriced. $40 for a bowl of pasta that was pretty flavourless. We ordered room service one night and it was disgusting which was so disappointing. The chicken and avocado sandwich felt like it had been dipped in oil before serving. For the prices and a 5 star hotel, the food options were extremely poor overall.

I used this hotel on my honeymoon.It was photogenic everywhere. The room was clean and had a nice bathtub.

The fridge was not very cold.

Very spacious room, nicely decorated with a great view of the DTLA skyline! Rooftop pool is also very pleasant. Staff was kind and helpful, also when it came to parking the car! We would greatly recommend staying here :)
