This hotel is amazing with a brilliant location on the beach. I cannot commend the staff enough - everyone we met from front desk to porters were so helpful and polite. The service made this trip for us. The hotel is beautiful and has a gorgeous pool - great facilities. Shout out to Carolitos the porter who was so helpful and polite.

Very friendly and competent staff - from porter to concierge, everyone spoke good English and was helpful in any context. The location is perfect, very nice ocean view, and it’s a good starting point for any exploration of the city and beyond. Airport transfer between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the airport.

The hotel itself is slightly outdated and might need some renovation. Drawers are partially scratched, the carpet in the aisles has seen better days…

Overall - highly recommended hotel - well maintained, clean, professional and helpful staff, great location. *Breakfast -as we stayed 8 days and the breakfast choices were always the same - we got bored with it - but overall good quality, get up early to get the best tables next to the windows overlooking the beach - great for people watching :) *Location is great too - close by supermarket, pharmacy, and you can walk from there to shopping streets, Ipanema beach, not too busy ( but the smell outside of the hotel was a bit funky :( *Room - spacious, clean, comfortable bed, we were staying in a 3-person room - so we had no view of the beach ( well - partial with odd head tilt), rather the view was of the building and private lives of people living in it - not what I was hoping to have a view of. Rooms facing the beach must have magical views in the morning. On arrival, you are welcomed by a small plate of sweets :) also you get free water bottles - nice. Espresso machine available - but you pay for the use of it. *Housecleaning was the best we ever had! Have to mention - Water pressure in that shower was amazing!!! (wanted to take that shower head home :) * Rooftop is nice too but too quite for us

If I have to add - Breakfast - add more variety, serve tea in teapots. Rooftop - add more life to it

Welcome drink at the Check-in and fruit plate on our room to celebrate our Honeymoon. The whole staff from the reception, restaurant, Pool, cleaning staff and luggage boys were extremely friendly, accommpdating & helpful!!! They made our experience unforgettable! Amazing breakfast!!! Special thanks to Anna & the other woman at the reception!!!

I absolutely love this place. It was my third time staying at Miramar and I can say I would totally stay there again. I love everything about the hotel.

Lovely hotel, great location and lovely staff.

The gym is no gym. This is more a guest issue: we had the noisiest person in the room next to us, loud guests and singing at 2am - a nightmare. We called reception and it stopped, but had the same thing repeat itself for 3 of our 10 nights.

The breakfast was exceptional, and we had one dinner at the restaurant that was delicious too - the staff were excellent, the location was great and the rooms were very comfortable.

The pool area is rather small for the size of the hotel, and the sunbeds are very close to the pool so when some children were splashing they did get us wet - however the hotel is on the beach and they have chairs, sunbeds and umbrellas as well as friendly staff so it was okay overall.

We arrived early in the morning and were able to access our room for an additional cost. Great location - short walk across the road to Copacobana beach! Hotel provided use of chairs + umbrellas. Comfortable bed + pillows. Buffet breakfast - wow!! champagne included, great selection of food, juices, coffee, and the chef made the perfect soft boiled eggs (to order). My husband had soft poached eggs, delicious! Restaurant staff were very attentive and topped up coffee/wine frequently, and tables were cleared and prepared efficiently. The concierge was very helpful. All front of house staff were tremendous. Roof top pool beautiful and great views of Copacobana beach. Plenty of sunbeds, table, chairs, and towels.

Sauna was extremely hot! we asked staff what the temperature was, but unsure, it was unbearable.. Adjacent buildings are a bit drab and dated but not hotels fault. No mailbox available at reception, I had to pay the concierge $3 US per postcard to drop off at post office as not close by - as yet the postcards have not arrived!!

The location was unbelievable - we were there for an Oceanman Race and the meeting point was Posto 5 (right across Avenida Atlantica). The staff was so kind and helpful. The hotel room was older, but still kept up and kept clean.

No breakfast included in the basic rate, but that allowed us to go out and enjoy Rio breakfast instead!

Great location, value for money, breakfast... But most of all I must mention staff and service which were beyond expectations!

Only thing I didn't like is small pool on the roof, but view is magnificent from pool area!

Room was ready early and they kindly upgraded my sons room son he could be on the same floor as us which was much appreciated. Great location, good breakfast and had dinner one evening which was very good.

Very good location and an amazing rooftop pool with great views of Copacabana.

Great location right across from Copacabana Beach. There were towels and chairs provided to use on the beach. We ate at the on site restaurant twice and enjoyed our meals. The rooftop pool was nice. You could order drinks and food end enjoy the view. The staff was always friendly and accommodating.

I loved my stay here! The room was beautifully designed and had incredible views of Copacabana Beach. The rooftop pool was definitely a highlight — perfect for relaxing with a drink while taking in the sweeping views of the beach and Sugarloaf Mountain. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service was great, and the whole experience felt truly special.

Great location, wonderful staff and clean hotel. The sea view rooms have a great view as does the rooftop pool area. Service within the hotel is relatively fast.

Housekeeping was hit or miss - they’d forget something literally daily, coffee in the room is for a fee (we’ve been to hundreds of 4-5 star hotels around the world and have NEVER seen this), and A/C unit is extremely loud. Overall, this is a nice hotel but it’s no where near 5 star when compared to other 5 star hotels in Brazil and globally. If you’re expecting the impeccable experience you’d get with a 5 star hotel, you’ll likely be a little disappointed. It’s a solid 4 though!

Toilet paper in bins although this is common throughout South America. Can't drink the water but a large bottle provided free daily.

Amazing staff, so attentive and proactive in ensuring you have a wonderful stay! Rooms are comfortable. Good choice at breakfast and pool is large enough to swim as well as heated! Beautiful views of Copacobana beach. Excellent location, just by Post 5 so on the Copacobana boardwalk but also walkable to Impanema beach. Recommend!

Room 1511 was on penultimate top floor under the pool and bar but we experienced noise during the day and night from what sounded like system units.

Exceptional hotel: from the room, amenities, to location, the amazing, helpful staff always ready to greet you and support you! The breakfast buffet was very good, lots of fruits, tasty food, variety of products, fresh. They even granted me free late check out and have storage for your bags if you need. Also, book a massage (its in the hotel envelope with other suggestions) - the service is in the room and its very professional! Worth for the money.

The customer service have been amazing - the concierge, the bell boy, the operator, the room services everyone was extremely friendly and went above and beyond. I needed to buy a lock and the bell boy walked with me to the store to explain in local language. The location is amazing - just walk to the beach and many restaurants and souvenirs shops. The beach is clean and well maintained.

May be the chef at the egg counter (breakfast) could be a little friendlier like all his colleagues :-)

The hotel is perfectly located at Central Copacabana Beach. The roof top terrace with pool has the most amazing view. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The quality of the breakfast buffet was exceptional. I highly recommend the hotel and will be back!

Friendly staff, nice rooftop pool with a view and several lounges, you receive pool and beach towels which is very handy!

There are little things that could be improved and were a little outdated for a hotel at this level e.g. weak old hair dryers.

Nothing drastic for me because I know this can happen, but not ideal. Money was taken from my credit card already at the time of the booking The reception, unaware, made a payment again so I had the amount withdrawn twice. I got the money back immediately when I noticed.
