Where to start: the staff - rude, arrogant, ignorance, they just don't care you there, especially at reception, concierge service is worthless - forgot all the requests or could not make it. Cherry on top - they forgot about my birthday, even though I reminded twice at booking and at check in, so just ignored it, completely. But left me rotten fruits at check in, well thanks for that. The hotel is the entrance courtyard on the one hand with numerous random people coming there to take a picture or sit on at the lobby but from the other it restricting the freedom of movement of hotel guests due to the numerous guards of other guests blocking an entire wing on the floor and frightening passing guests! This is unacceptable from the other! The comfort and safety one guest shouldn't be limited by another! All guests are equal and if you have no idea what hospitality is then you don't deserve even 1 star.

For a five start hotel - I don't think we got the right value for money.

They were 'above themselves' because its the Four Seasons. Felt like we were not good enough! Also despite writing two times in advance and requesting via Booking dot.com our room request was not carried through. Check-in took much much too long. they ouldn't find the Booking.com reservation amongst other things and I felt that once they knew it was booking.com reservation we were immediately put into a lower class bracket for the hote;l. They had some techincal problems and we didn't get our key until 3 hours after arriving in the hotel. We were only there for one night. For a five starr hotel, one would think that having Tea making faciilities in the room was a given. The staff tried very politely to fix things by apologising the whole time but not actually acknowledging or rectifiying the issue but rather giving us lots of polite speak about apologising. They did pay for our caesar salald and French Burger and glass of wine while we waited but despite the kind gesture, when one pays what one does for this hotel per night I would have expected a different approach. Loation of the hotel is excellent. Superbly clean. Great beds and linen. A very good waiter in the Orangerie restaurant - he was most certainly the hightlight.

the rooms are a bit old

The hotel is a show stopper from the moment we arrived. Service was excellent from greeting, check in, to daily help with booking restaurants. They noticed I was pregnant and immediately delivered a pregnancy pillow and baby gift to our room. The restaurant recommendations were superb. They offered variety of options including local bistros (Les Marches was our favorite) and more high end (Chez Andre) for a special night. They even offered a house car to take us to one of the restaurants which we found to be a nice addition. My husband also enjoyed the gym, steam room and pool.

Our room was right next to the elevators so we could constantly hear movement. Given I’m a light sleeper and 30 weeks pregnant, it was unfortunate to not get adequate rest. I was also disappointed there were no breakfast offerings in our booking. We aren’t big morning eaters so our main focus was coffee and a pastry and were disappointed this would have cost us upwards of $60 had we ordered through the hotel.

Fantastic service, quality food and comfort

The hot water was not working even after we were informed of maintenance for six hours, it still was not working. We had to go to the spa at 7am to have our baths in order to be able to meet our train
