Great motel in an excellent location. Very quiet and the pool is a real bonus. Lovely to be able to swim and relax after sightseeing or an evening out at a music venue. Staff were very helpful and quick to solve any potential issues or requests.

The small room we started in had too much furniture and not enough storage. Easy to fix with more hooks and shelves.

Such a cool, unique property! The bed was so comfortable, and the room was super cute. The location is great for exploring both Congress Ave and downtown.

What did we like? Everything! From the time we checked in and were upgraded to a King room, everyone working at the hotel was so welcoming, friendly, and happy. That makes a big difference! The retro vibe and welcome to all makes you feel good. Location on South Congress convenient to everything- music, food, dessert, walking- and parking is FREE. Coffee in the lobby was exceptional. The coupons for coffee drinks at Jos were a nice touch too. Will definitely stay here if in Austin in future.

Pool was a little cold. Bathrooms weren’t very clean/ had some hair in mine. Room was slightly worn down with a piece of carpet missing.

The vibe, the decor, and the location we top notch. This place has a personality and excellent, attentive staff. We left our bag full of new albums from Waterloo Records and our prints from another fun local artist shop in front of the hotel when we left for the airport. Not only did they find and keep the lost bag safe, they are facilitating its return to us the same day we lost it! Thank you for being great. And the pool is fun, too.

We were very and positively surprised by the accomodation: we love the design, the pool, the bar, even the room although it was small. We were happy with the bed, had a quiet and comfortable night. Located in the hearth of SoCo, and next to a great resto and some really cool shops, and close to the bat bridge. Nice !

If you need a room for more than one night, select a bigger room.

The location was amazing and the staff was so welcoming and friendly. It was the best way to be introduced to the city of Austin. The pool area was great, we loved our room, even in a busy area our room was nice and quiet. And once again the staff were truly incredible. I would highly recommend the Austin Motel to any one visiting Austin!

The only minor complaint would be the lack of closet space, but we were on a rather long trip and might have had more things than most guests do.

The free parking is a big plus and I like parking in front of my room.

I like everything about Austin Motel. Especially how pet friendly. Great atmosphere and very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The aesthetic is great and the location is optimal for tourist trying out the local scene.

Check out being at 12pm is a little early for me, I feel like it should at least be at 3pm at least.

Funky design, pool and the general atmosphere

WIFI was down when we arrived. A nuisance, but compensated with other features in which they excel.

The aesthetics were so fun! The perfect combination of kitschy motel with modern flair and amazing service!

There were no towels at the pool (they were being washed) and it would have been great to have coffee in the rooms (tho hey had some downstairs).

The Vibe is on point! The room was perfect & the furniture is so FUN!! The bed was comfortable, pillows great, sheets all cotton, full fridge and the wallpaper 💖! Grounds well kept, lounging area, restaurant nextdoor and the POOL. THE POOL WAS HEAVEN. I was lucky enough to be staying there when they had a Pool Party - the music, the people, the bar-so laid back, I loved it. Quiet area, slept great. Coolist little shop & the staff were so great too. Oh, and did I mention the ice cream shop next door??! Will stay again 110%

The only additions I'd ask for are some kind of shelving in the bathroom and water in the fridge.

The setup and layout were so cool and funky. The staff were so kind and delightful and managed difficult things well. Example, the WiFi was out (not under their control) and they were managing all the folks so nicely and without a lot of stress. The pool is also great!

Prime Location, great pool activity all around. Very well maintained and decorated. Beautiful rooms with a retro but clean and new décor. Ample towels and toiletries. Friendly helpful staff. beautiful pool. Beautiful lobby with coffee in the morning.

Amazing location - lots of great restaurants around, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean, but very basic. It's a remodeled motel. You really should embrace that and have fun with it. The decor is quirky but really fun...I liked it. Great pool area - lots of people were enjoying it - great vibe overall. The restaurant attached to it has great food and cocktails - highly recommend.

It's a remodeled motel - the bathroom in our room was very small. At check in they said it was one of their favorite rooms, and I think it was the smallest - we were the only room that didnt have a window in the front - the bed was fine - no storage. I would say the wallpaper in that room was really cool???? It was a miss for us, but fine for two nights - the location really sells the place - and they do have a pool area that people seemed to really enjoy.

This is the most perfect location ever. I mean everything we wanted to do was so close for there and the pool was pretty nice too. Love it !

The air conditioning was not perfect. My friend was full on allergies mode and we think this may have something to do with the air conditioning but we couldn't dime it or play with it at all.

Excellent location. Loved the attached restaurant and bar. Patio area was awesome.

More bathroom linens. Traction stickers for bathtub would be nice as it was very slippery. Another blanket for the two bed room.

The staff was so friendly and helpful; the location was awesome. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We didn't use the pool but if it had been warmer we would have really enjoyed it.

Such a great property that feels like an oasis within a busy area of Austin.

The staff was SUPER accommodating when I had to check in at 4AM! They made sure someone was there and even had someone there to help with luggage!

The only suggestion I have is maybe leave a bottle of water in the room at check in:)

We loved the energy and decor, very retro and felt quintesentually Austin. The heated poo was also phenomal in the winter. Very walkable to south congress, we rarely left the area on our trip. Also told the staff when I came to check-in (but not ahead of time online) that we were here for my birthday weekend. When we got to the room they gave us free wine!! Such a nice touch and truly lovely folks.

Housekeeping did not come at all during our stay. At check out we were informed that they don’t visit daily, only because we asked. That should have been communicated upon check in or a notice in the room. Had we not asked about that at check out, it would have left a very negative opinion about the motel. We originally thought housekeeping skipped us.
